Received mine yesterday, had them on all day at work. I agree with your review, it's not perfect but it is fun. Bass is really good, a fun IEM.

yeah, this is the set I wanted to try next... I like what Ive tried by HBB, much better than Crinacle's IEMs that Ive tried, dont like anything Crinacle has put out, his sets are frankly, boring as hell.

Crinacle loves his mid bass thin, which is why I lost interest in his future collaborations

I agree with your take on this. Crin's stuff is dull and uninteresting. HBB is tuning them to his library, and it shows. I am also a classic rock, and progressive rock fan, so HBB's tuning is nearly ideal for me.
These are so much better than I imagined them to be. Way better than Mele. To me way better than Aria and T3 Plus in musicality. Smooth exactly how to describe them. Very musical.

I love this iem, but I had to use the ikko foam tips so It didn't fall off of my ears.

Nice review Dave..Among the Olina, mele, Kai which do you prefer? Is Aria still better than all these? Also, if you are using Aria with the stock tips, please change that. IMO, Stock tips are the reason for them being aggressive and shouty. I find spring tips pair great with Aria.
Kai, Mele, Olina is how I would rank them. Aria is better than all 3 in my humble opinion.
I would rank them like Olina(Tanya filters & stock wide bore tips), mele, Kai(have not used). But instead of aria i will pick T3+, still Olina is better than T3+👍.
This is just my opinion and also olina with stock filter is shouty at higher volume.

The Kai is a nice middle ground between the modded Olina and the Mele. I used mine with CP100+ tips, which are my goto. I have never been an Aria fan, the bass has a grainy and thin quality ( and they fall apart too fast ).The T3+ seems like the other under $80 IEM I would think of, and if it fit my ears better, I would really enjoy it.
those tips kill all bass... i guess ok on a overly bass heavy iem.?. but if you only use those u need to toss on some large foams or try the Z review render tips... The cp100's are TERRIBLE lol
@@ufopulse every ear is different, but typically narrow bore tips like the spinfits or final E, filter out the treble, which makes the bass pop a bit more.

Wish is better between tripowin mele ?
🤔I had a pair (I say pair .... well single) read on .... of Focus EDM but on delivery one of the channels wasn't working :( They were supposed to be geared for a basshead and from what I heard in the single channel it appeared that way. Unfortunately I never got to hear them properly
My goto for Bass is a very old and tired pair of XBA-A3's - I'll have another listen of those and see if I need to retire them in favour of the Kai's
Thanks for the review - In your opinion .... sometimes you want to listen to some slamming bass which IEM would you recommend at the sub $100 range ?

Low fi iem from beggar. Very disappointing. Avoid it like the plague. Not musical at all. Low fi treble. Tried different cables, 2.5 connections, tip rolling. Could not save this iem. 50 bucks down the drain.
