As a Singaporean who has lived in the US for 20+ years, I agree that it is harder for the US a form a NATO-like organization in Asia. However, that doesn't necessarily mean, expanding NATO into Asia, is not an ultimate goal of the US. I believe in the eyes of the US, China is to Asia as Russia is to Europe. If that is not the case, then the US wouldn't be beefing up the military capabilities of allied countries like Australia, Taiwan, Japan, and even India in the future. What is the purpose of that? To be a check against the emerging power and influence of China, of course! But the US doesn't want their intentions to be obvious to some Asian countries, at this time, but it is already quite obvious if you think about it. So I disagree with some of the commentators in this video.

World peace must be maintained at all times and this is the ideal and very objective enshrined in the founding of the United Nations and its Charter. If there is any alliance every nation on earth must maintain and strengthen, nothing could be more acceptable to all stakeholders than alliance to the United Nations as the overall every nation's organization for the maintenance of world peace and, consequently, the development of every member nation's economy for a better life for all! International diplomacy is key for a clear and better understanding for each state's concerns for their resolution. Continuing dialogue between or among parties or stakeholders are very important more than ever in this time of human advancement. In communication, almost everyone has the tools and systems to make a clearer and better appraisal of what really is or was for a definitive and truly effective information or knowledge that warrants an all-unified UN action and resolution. Having said my views here on world peace, I pray the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council work together for a peaceful and prosperous world order for all nations! It cannot be denied, effective world peace is anchored on them!

Quad isn't as strong of an alliance as NATO by any means.
Also, while China and Russia have many similarities, such as being totalitarian governments.
They are very different in many ways.
China is much more economically focused while Russia is more militarily focused.
If you look at actual wars fought in recent years, China behaves very differently from Russia. Russia's invaded georgia, Crimea, and went head to head against the US interests in Syria and sided with the brutal dictator Assad, and now obviously the full blown war against Ukraine.
China has shown aggression and hostilities but has not actually invaded any sovereign nation in recent decades. We'll see if that changes as they grow more powerful, can never be to careful when a powerful country gets hostile even if it's only in postering and rhetoric so far.

The "rules-based order" is a problematic term. It is critical to first address the question of whose "rules" and to whom it benefits.
It is patently clear that the present rules-based order is promoted by some one or some group of nations that were "at the table "formulating those rules". (Please bear in mind that the "rules" referred to by those characters in the video come most from a certain group of countries. The only "rules" that should be acceptable internationally, must first be endorsed by the UN through a protocol that has at its core the majority of the countries represented by the UNGA (UN General Aseembly).

But China didn't recognize it, especially the UNCLOS. They want SCS for themselves because Japan controlled it in WWII; they believe Japan gave it to them, and it is a very idiotic assumption to say that it already belongs to them only because most countries in the ASEAN region have not yet gained their sovereignty before WWII; it's a greedy mentality by China. SCS was never a territory of any country before Japan took it, so it is natural that if Japan relinquished its ownership, it should be a neutral territory by default. That is why it should be decided by the UNCLOS.
