  • Will this radio really fly everything? In this video I use an fq777 pocket drone to show just how good this radio is.
    I hope this is a good start for anyone who just bought this radio.

      Protocol 23 -FQ777 for model FQ777-124 (with SV7241A)
      Protocol 26 -Hontai Several sub-protocols including Sub - 3 for FQ777-951-3
      Might be other to try i the newest list. It can also be a problem caused by needing to tune the Transmitter out put frequency to suit the out-of-tolerance components used in some cheapies on some protocols. I did receive my TX16S and I came back to this video to see if your setup would help me to bind my Cheerson CX-10 micro quad to my new radio. So far, no luck. It is asking me about protocols in the model setup but after I select MULTI and CX-10, the other protocols do not seem to work and I tried them all. Where can I find a list of compatible brands and models so that I know which one to use?

    • @buudy22
      @buudy22  Před 3 lety

      graywoulf When you try to bind do the flashing lights on the quad change at all? That will be the indication that you found the right protocol. If the lights turn solid it has bound. Just cycle the throttle. That arms the quad. For those that thought the throttle arming process was programmed in the radio...it’s not. It’s programmed in the quad so even with the tx16, you will have to cycle the throttle to arm.
      If you can’t get the lights to change it’s probably a cloned Cx-10. I have had several clones that I can find the protocol for in the radio. Same with Syma. There are generic Syma cx5’s for sale on eBay that will not bind either.

      Its actually pretty easy to make these cheap... They didn't design the software open tx... So no R n d or budget to design software... The 4 in one module was built by some other tech company in china hence why its popping up in multiple versions of radios now...
      This means no design for an rf module or receivers to be compatible with it..
      Literally all they had to do was make a circuit board that would house all these modules and make a plastic case to hold everything in... I wouldn't be surprised if a finished radio actually cost about 35 quid to make...

    • @petrokemikal
      @petrokemikal Před 3 lety +1

      Also I forgot to add in the first post there... the cost of components like the switches screen ect become remarkably cheap when you buy in industrial bulk... 1 switch might cost 70pence but 6000 of them would probably be less than half that...

      @buudy22  Před 2 lety

      Hey Josue! This is an excellent radio. Ive never had problems with it. This will do Spektrum and many other brands. However, Spektrum will give you a little more distance on your range (not sure that really matters unless you are doing long range FPV). For an intermediate, Spektrum will be slight easier to understand.
      That said, this radio is much more capable of growing with. This has replaced my Dx6i.
      Features like stabilization are actually in the model and not radio. You would need something like flitetest's FT Aura. It can be found on here on CZcams.

    • @buudy22
      @buudy22  Před 3 lety

      Hey bud. Beta flight is used for setting up aircraft with programmable flight controllers. These little “toy” quads are not programmable. They won’t hook up to beta flight so the only programming you can do is on the radio side. I noticed you also asked about the bugs. This radio does have some models from bugs programmed in but if you are new to all this stuff it might be frustrating and difficult to figure out. I wish I could make a long series of videos helping people breaking in to the hobby but sadly I don’t have the resources to purchase all the equipment to make it happen. The channels that are given products and resources for free and make money through CZcams views have to spend all there time just reviewing products to keep getting high view counts and free stuff. You should get on the forums. That’s where the real help is. Not CZcams.

    Will it bind with the cheerson x10?

      Drew Graham It depends on the Cx-10. I have gotten one to bind to it but another didn’t. I think there are a lot of fake cheerson Cx-10’s out there.

    Thank you for the clear instructions, but I'm guessing either ur child or cat don't agree with you totally lol. Thank you for video, I'm only starting to learn to build drones, and it's only fair I start with simulator and getting to know my RC. Lots of love

    Its cool but have you figured out how to change the rates or do flips with it like you can do with the stock transmitter

    • @buudy22
      @buudy22  Před 3 lety +1

      Not yet. I’ve played around and gotten a couple quads to do the dual rates but I haven’t figured out flips on any of them yet. My guess is they are deep in the channel mapping (not on channel 5 or 6). Either way, if you felt the difference you probably wouldn’t care about the flips. :)

      nal0s0ljah I tried but could not find a good protocol for it. Looking online seemed like eachine used some odd protocol that the community never hacked.

      @@buudy22 i got my radio today and got it to bind with the e010. I used the MJXq E010 mode and set the receiver No. to anything besides 0 currently have it on 8. And changed rf Frequency fine tune to anything but 0 also. But am having a problem when I push full stick forward it goes backwards...I have to push reverse to go forward...is there something I need to change in the settings to flip this?
      Thanks

      nal0s0ljah way to go bud!!!!!! Seriously. Nice work. It’s so much fun flying those little cheap quads with such a great feeling radio.

      So it works by changing frequency tune to 1. And to fix the pitch problem go to mixers and change Ele weight to -100%
