Car Chase | Dempsey & Makepeace (1985)

In order to catch the attention of a villain, Dempsey (using a drug dealer's car stolen from the police garage), takes part in a car chase staged by S.I.10.
Cars used: 1975 Chevrolet Camaro, 1976 Rover 3500 (SD1).

The Camaro was manual, quite rare for an American car from the seventies. I wonder as well, with the engine being detuned for American emissions controls, that a 1975 Camaro would probably be slower than a Rover 3500, which could reach 125 mph.

It was painful to see that police Rover get wrecked, there are hardly any surviving police Rover SD1s around now.

@@cnevill2 They had a bad reputation for rust, particularly cars made before 1982. Also the early six cylinder cars were very unreliable. The 1982-86 era SD1s were better made and more reliable, but still not up to German standards, and most were scrapped by their tenth birthday.

My main criticism is the lead Traffic Car's beacons are not flashing whilst the secondary car's are, terrible oversight!
Oh, and also, one shot, there's two Area Cars, the next, there's an Area Car and a TRAFFIC Car!
