Death and the Healing will always give me chills, it's such a beautiful song.
I remember when I was 13 and heard Wintersun for the first time.
I discovered the first album in late december of 2004 and loved listening to it while on my walks in the snowy forest in Sweden
Death and the Healing is the song that got me into Wintersun. I looked over the tracklist for that album and immediately that was the song I wanted to hear. Still one of my favorite songs of all time.

Jari's guitar playing is just different. His picking hand is so precise and decisive, and his left hand just glides on the fretboard. All at the service of the music
I vividly recall my first trip from the Czech Republic to Norway. I was immersed in a Warcraft fantasy novel, and the journey stretched over two to three days by bus, which was quite a challenge due to the cramped conditions and the constant noise from some overly enthusiastic Czech companions.
It was during this time that I first encountered the song 'Death and the Healing.' I had it on repeat for many hours of the trip while engrossed in my book, and it transformed the experience into something truly enjoyable. Now, whenever I hear that song, it not only brings me immense pleasure but also reminds me of the remarkable emotional power that music can evoke.

I see you so in awe and admiration and exhilaration about your creation and the joy of being able to share it with the world finally and give something valuable to others. This is what emanates. Even though I am miles away and just looking at the screen, I feel it. And this is for me what makes a real artist. Absolutely love it when you wield the axe. I love these old recordings. I think my favorites aside from the self-titled album, are Perpetual Fire, My Journey Through The Night, and Moonshine. To The Mountains could be blended into The Death and Healing. All of superb riffage. Extremely Death Metal happy you continue to play guitar.

That is because Time (I & II) has Japanese influences 👌🏼
Jari was inspired to implement Japanese style melodies into the Time albums since way back in the early 2000s.
My Journey through the night is so good. From the riff it sound like it would have been a good fit on the first wintersun album. Looking forward to listen to the whole song!

Time package could be one of the most wanted metal collectibles after the years from now. I pre-ordered my own today, but I was actually tempted to buy two of those. One for myself and one I would hide somewhere, draw a treasure map for this location, and hand over this map to my grandchildren on my death bed. Foly huck 🤘 finally yesterday, i got my old guitar back from my friend. Haven't been playing guitar for past 6 years. This gives me like zero motivation more, when i'm trying to learn it all again. 😂 maybe i'll just give it back to him.
I hadn`t played guitar for something like for past 30+ years. And many many times I have thought, why did I give up back then, now it`s too late to learn anything. Then last fall I was thinking, what the fuck, better late than never and bought a guitar and was thinking, that I`ll try to learn some WIntersun songs. Well. I haven`t learnt much yet😂

I am currently working on with Battle against time. I reckon those riffs at the beginning are possible for me to learn properly, I just have to do it much slower tempo. From these early demos I think Alone in the moonshine riffs could be possible to learn, I just need tabs for that (too).

I settled right into this video and was completely ready for it to continue for an hour. Once the wah wah song started fading I was like "wait, what? It's over already?"
