Thank you Ross we Been trying to get wonder hussy to wear decent shoes when hiking for years 😂 . I'm glad we got to see your sister again in the video shame she doesn't record it'd be great to see alaska 😀
Eliza lol
@@mannybravo237ok :)
One of first things I noticed!😘thanks WH. We love you (& ur feet🤗😂)!♥️
I know the feeling of saying goodbye for the summer . . .
I live about 40 miles outside of Phoenix; in the Sonoran Desert.
Many of the houses surrounding my home are owned by Snowbirds from Alaska, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, and upstate New York.
Each year, around early November, the seasonal residents - aka, Snowbirds - begin their annual pilgrimage to the Valley of the Sun.
Then, by late December, all the refugees have arrived for a sun-filled respite from their bone-chilling full-time residences.
For the next three to four months, the immediate neighborhood comes back to life, as we share with each other what we did from June through October.
Somewhere between the end of the MLB Cactus League training camps and May 1st, the local population slowly dwindles as, one by one, the Snowbirds head up Interstate 17 for their trek homeward.
Traditionally, the Snowbird season ends with hugs, handshakes, goodbyes, and wishes for a safe journey home.
Like me, all the Snowbirds are elderly retirees. So, when I hear those last parting words - "See you next winter" - I know the liklihood of that happening lessens with each passing year. Nevertheless, the optimism of reuniting stands strong.
So, yeah, when the air in the Valley of the Sun becomes too warm, it marks a time to say "goodbye" dear friends, close the window shades, set the A/C to 78°, and hide from the Sun for the next six months.
°°
I grew up in AZ, currently living in CA and looking to retire. If I could afford it, I'd spend the winters in Phx and the rest of the year in Flag. Well, it's a fantasy.
Thanks Thomas....I really enjoyed reading your comment. It was very poignant, and beautifully expressed.
Ross is such a cool neighbor
Hey there Wonderhussy. We are anxious to follow you all summer long. Thanks for this look at your stomping grounds before we head out new horizons.
Love ya , Sara . Best silly person that is honest and funny.
Wonder-sister is a Badass, she climbed thru that place with no fear or hesitation. Sarah cried and complained the whole time lol, toughen up buttercup! Eliza you're a BEAST!
Sarah Jane still got it done and I’ve had more than a couple folks bail out on easier sections. She gets a gold star.
@@tecopamines Ross, you're the real star. Things you do with having just 1 leg, God bless you man. And The 1st person to get Wonder-sister on video lol, we thank you.
In a older video, Wonder-sister was sleeping on the side of the trail and Wonderhussy and another friend had to go ahead scouting for water and looking for the volunteer cabin. They're both badass lol
Glad to see your sister with you! Happy trails to you! ❤
When I moved to Palm Springs in 1989, Memorial Day marked the date that most of the restaurants and stores closed for the summer and Labor Day was when the tourist season began. Most of the support staff headed for Vegas or Seattle for the summer. Year rounders threw weekend pool parties during the down time.
Now the stores and restaurants stay open and we have tourists that just want to know what 120° and dry feels like.

Very true. I was there years ago on a June 29. 108 degrees. Hoards of people on Palm Canyon Drive. I was going to eat at a Dennys but decided against it when I saw the line to get in went out the door. It was a weekend but still. I guess Palm Springs is a year round town. Great little city - one of my favorites ☀️
we stopped at the crowbar a couple of weeks ago--they would not serve us because they close in 20 min!--we ran into your neighbor Scott and had a nice chat--we headed up Saline valley to the back side of cerro gordo and offered a truck to Brent to haul his water--took my friend back to Bishop and went home to Tonopah...
I guess you should order the takeout. I don't see why that would be hard To Do! I mean come on how many people do you actually get to eat there in the middle of nowhere?
What can be better than all summer road trip with Hussey????? 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love these bonus Sunday videos.
I love Sunday mornings, I start the day off with Wonderhussy, and then the sailing videos. ☕😁 Good morning Sarah👍
I think I know you the sailing videos gave it away 😂
@@judizzstuff Not sure, I don't really comment on many of the sailing videos, these are huge channels... Wonderhussy isn't like most big channels, she still enjoys interacting with her subscribers👍 But nice to meet you👋
Great idea!
Watched Ross' video a few days before this one. Also pleasantly surprised to see so many shots of your sister. Desert life must have made her comfortable enough to allow photography. Nice.
I guess the gray clouds and drizzle here in LA aren't making it beyond Palmdale. It has been cold and drizzly here for the past 3 weeks!
Same here in Santa Cruz! Our highs are in the 60s and cloudy! But I know I'll miss it when I get to Vegas 😅
it's the June gloom
Wonderhussy's sister has a nice shape on her.
Your a trooper to handle the heat, hats off to you!🇺🇸🌞
Sandy here: coming along with you is an offer I can not refuse. ❤ And it is the only way i can see your "middle of nowhere" places. Stay safe and have fun, Sandy and Ruth ❤❤
Just subscribed to you, and bless your heart, I’m honored to be your first subscriber!
I’ll be looking for your comments here, as we watch our dearly beloved Sarah Jane on her adventures! Like you, it’s a treat to be able to go along with her, isn’t it?
My god, unbelievable - not a single dull SECOND for Wonderhussy! You are the Carl Sagan of geology, the Huell Howser of the West (better, actually), the patron saint of the Noteworthy! Never an off day!
Lowell Thomas of our US desert 🏜️🧐🤳🥰
I love this video and you and Eliza were a ball underground. You handled those ladders and that stope slide like bosses and neither of you died! 😂
More mine to see when you get back. 😎
-> Am glad you guys gave that waitress a nice tip, to console her & help her out financially!! How kind of you all!! Love looking at the Mines, much appreciated!! Very Interesting, Indeed!! ⛏️🕳️⚒️🏜️ Divine Angelic Safeguarding, Providence, Benediction, Healings, Good Health, Abundance, & Many Blessings, you & yours, Wonderhussy, & ALL!! 🙋🏻♀️😻🙇🏻♀️🙏🏼🕊️👼🏻🌫️☁️⛈️🌌🌟
# 5 in case you are wondering what an OLD man does while watching your videos, i'm drinking coffee and
pealing peanuts for the squirrels - because my wife gets " ticked off " that's a polite term, about all the shells
my little kids leave all over the deck
Same here...but I don't peel the peanuts....it would take forever...
Thes kids have a huge appetite...as well as the blue Jays...so I just sweep the patio in the evening ...and call it a day 🐿️
@@jamesorendorff2731 and @janetceniza8091 Funny thing...I've been to some places where peanut shells on the floor was a very normal thing.
You know you could always put the shells in a Container.. That would probably make your wife a lot happier.
Sarah Jane. Crazy woman of the desert wilderness. You just got to love her. ❤
"Geologic wonders" are everywhere but they're visible in the desert.
Wonderhussy: The Musical.
You know it’s only a matter of time! 🎶
Safe travels Sarah 🇺🇸
Yea! We're going on a summer road trip! Thanks, WH! 💕
Glad to see you back on the road for 2023 WH.
I'm stuck in the city so I'll travel with you vicariously.
I haven't been to Death Valley since 1987. Enjoyed you video.
Brought backemories.
No evacuation for me. I'm going to hang out in the desert like I do every year. The higher 100°Fs are coming and more frequently. So it appears the cool spell (mid 90°Fs to low 100°Fs) is ending (maybe this summer, I'll try to mend my truck back together).😊
Happy trails to you
Until we meet again
Happy trails to you
Keep smiling until then- (Roy Rogers)
second, yeah, greetings, beautiful sunday everyone
Beautiful Sunday right back at ya!
Sarah our bags are packed and our seatbelts are on, we are ready for another adventure with you. Let the journey begin. Summer is hear and we are ready to go along with you on your next adventure. Only thing I ask is can I have a window seat.
Thanks so much
Wh's sister looks like she would be great to watch! Speaking as a gentleman of course!
26 minutes sure does fly by when you watch Wonderhussy! 💋
Thanks for another great video. So Looking forward to more adventures with you.
Hi Sarah-I am a Catholic and know many many Philippines People-As far as I am concerned, they are some of the nicest most beautiful people on this earth-I am sure they would welcome you to the Mission-Happy Travels and who knows-we might bump into out on the Western trail 😀🥰🎉🇺🇸🇺🇸
Very interesting. I'm from California but have lived in the Philippines for 15 years now. First I've heard of this.
This June, in Vegas, it's been about 20 degrees cooler than last year. Quite pleasant. Wonderhussy will do just fine.
It's been a cool spring. Considering she ISN"T in Death Valley, it's been a pleasant 80 degrees. (Tecopa)
She's so full of shit.
"Dried Up Miner Turds!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Sounds like the name of very low quality weed Haha

Love living in Lincoln county New Mexico outside of capitan in the capitan mountains were it’s cool all summer long my place seven thousand feet high.
🤩 Another great video by Wonderhussy! 🥰
I loved the hurried, almost panicky run across completely empty road the most. 😂😂😂
I can see an advantage to having a slab of black iron and a cast iron skillet laying out in the sun...Just fry up some bacon and eggs and breakfast's done. Only problem...the cook will fry too.
Yes, I agree...when it gets that hot somewhere, the best plan is to be somewhere else. But I wonder how you'll know if your new mini split air conditioner is effective for hot summers there if you spend the entire summer gone.🙃 Anyway, here's hoping you run into some pretty neat situations...much love to you and yours, Sarah Jane♥.
I would love to see you film this location.... I'm sure with your personality they would receive you warmly..... YOU ALWAYS DO SUCH A GREAT JOB.... WE LOVE YOU HUSSY !!!!!!

You really are an enthralling storyteller, Sarah. Here you've kept me riveted through a succession of, let's face it, otherwise kinda dull sights and sites, and I gladly watched the whole thing and totally lost track of the time. Thank you!
I sooooo agreeee!!
Dang Wonder hussy your sister got a good looking back side of you do too love your channel you where one of my first subscribed channels you know how your first time is lol
Thanks for your reply I be watching gal is love them armpit s that is a p s
we have to watch his channel to see her lol
You make look like fun living in the desert 😂…..and,so interesting!….thank you 🙏
It's about time you got down and dirty! Ross has one of the best examples of mining you can visit. I'm glad you finally got to really get inside a mine and take a long tour especially with Ross. It took a lot of doing but you have a Chipotle now! At least you won't starve.
You should travel to Nowhere, Oklahoma, Sarah Jane, so that you can actually say that you have been in the middle of Nowhere.
Great video nice to see Wonder sister
Thanks! I needed a pick-me-up today and WH always comes through
You have got the coolest life! I live in SE South Dakota and it is so boring !😢. Love watching you’re adventures. You are a great story teller of history and great places. Thanks for what you do. Have a super summer. By the way I love you’re little camper you had last summer 😊
Get rid of that Nazi governor and SD might have a chance to changhe its Nazi Shithole status.
Sarah, thanks for the video today, good one!
Nice to see your sister Eliza joining you on some of your adventures. Tell her to jump in front of your camera sometime and just say "hi". Enjoy your summertime travels, are you going to "Burning Man" this year? If so, be safe and enjoy. 💞
I was gone the month of May. It was quite a shock to see everything closed up, even the county pool. The Crowbar is closing July 1st for a couple of months as they remodel and update the kitchen. There won't be anyplace left to eat or drink in the area.
So proud of everything that you have accomplished girl! You are amazing!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love ❤ the additions of the shade to your compound...looks like it really helps 🎉
Awesome video Wonderhussy and enjoying watching too beautiful country too 👍😃😎♥️
I always like your stories 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great stories what
Do other people think
@@philipfareio4445 yeah
I think the folks at the mission would welcome you. Looking forward to that one!
Oh yeah baby! You Bet Your Sweet BIPPIE, I was a kid when i first heard that line on Laugh-In comedy show in the 70's.
THANKS!
The phrase 'pull your chain' or 'yank your chain' to describe a prank or joke on someone, comes from honey carts. They were chocked in place with a chain. When someone was committed to their business on the cart, pull their chain! Off they go, great gag!
Great plans! I'm actually moving to Vegas later this year, but planning to spend my summers exploring the West Coast! 😅👍 Btw, a mine tour with Ross might be something I need to add to my bucket list!
Good luck with your move. My plan is to move back out to Vegas in May 2024. I can't wait to get back. Missing it so much.
@@ferdienaraval1438 Thank you! And that's awesome that you're moving back! Btw, are scorpions a problem out there?
Yay! Summer road trip with Wonderhussy!! 😃 let’s go!!
Thank you so much for the chuckles. You have such a fun way of telling a story. I look forward to your summer travels.
Yay. A bonus vlog ❤❤❤
The big black stripe on Charles Brown Highway is often visited by geologists and students.
I think it’s cool that you still have fan interactions through the mail. Seems much more personal.
Howdy Wonderhussy, still following your channel. Again, thanks so much for explaining and giving us the history you come upon. Went thru Death Valley mid day in July about 15 years ago. Then I thought yeah desert no civilization BUT now you have shown some jewels of interesting things there. Please be safe and aware of your surroundings. Thank you for being our guide. ❤
Always a great laugh when it comes to your exposure to the rough lives men( miners in this sketch) led and still lead to earn a buck. Pants and shoes for protection. Ross just savin a girl from herself. Great idea for a hot day!
Great Adventure! Thanks for sharing! I don't think I would go in there and now I got to see inside! Thank You! What a neat thing to see.
It was interesting seeing the mine and that stripe in the rock. I thought it was nice that you are excited to come back to Death Valley after your other adventures. It's for sure I'll be following you 😊
here in australia during ww2 there was petrol gasoline rationing, my dad remembers all the cars were converted to carbide acetlylene gas and he said they worked just fine
Thank you for the update! Have a cool summer.
It was wonderful to see Eliza on the Tecopa Mines’ video Ross made! It was an intense video!
As for Jesus returning? It’ll be at Jerusalem, yet every eye shall see Him when the skies open, and He descends onto the Mount of Olives…
Zechariah 14:1-4
Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
As a woman of faith, I do love you, and lift you up in prayer…
Mission - - - impossible, turned into $$$. (I wonder how much it cost to have a box of ashes stored in a desert? "There's a sucker born every minute." - P.T. Barnum)
great video, trip, nice to see you and your sister!!!!
have a great day, ill be with you on your trip, in spirit at least
The story about the waitress was so sad , have a good day sweetie

Excellent, absolutely love your videos, thought I saw a few lizards and a snake packing to leave 😎🤣🤣🤣⭐️⭐️
Thank-you for giving that waitress your compassion. I know her, and she just recently told me about that day. It meant a lot to her. Thank-you.
# 2 I don't remember the mine toilet on Ross'e video - but that was something I never thought of before. All i knew
was that they took down a tweety bird to warn them of gas that could kill them. If the little bird dropped over, get out.
I love that song "See you in September", especially the version by The Happenings. It's slightly witful and has a great sound to it. The group kind of has that 60s New Jersey sound, similar to Franki Valli and the Four Seasons.
See you on the road. Safe travels and be well.
Your videos are the best. Looking forward to your summer adventures. Safe travels.
Bless your heart for helping that waitress with a hundie tip. Think I'd be losing my job everyday.
Great video as always Sarah!
Can't wait to follow you on your upcoming trip.

Thank you so much sis wonderhussy for sharing this beautiful scenery in the desert I love it I wish I was on vacation right now sure can use one anyways thank you so much for sharing have a great night be safe sincerely Suszie❤❤❤❤❤
Love the music pics on this one.
It’s interesting to watch your video after watching Ross’ first last week.
Great story, I was stationed in the Philippines when I was in the Navy, very interesting., Will be looking forward to your travels stay safe
I enjoy the community of southern Inyo. When you'all and Tecopa Mines get together it is a hoot. I think that most country towns have high and low seasons and appreciate knowing how the residents and those who would like to stay being residents are affected or arrange things. In Big Sur it's can you make it through the winter and I can see how "can you make it through the summer" would be what comes down in the summer. My personal hat is off to Shoshone for doing what it is they do. Wishing you the best. Thank you for sharing these wonderful-wonderhussy travels and escapades with us.
