Pete B makes a great point about how the joy and tone of excitement IS making an impact on voters. Some people thrive on negativity but I think most of us are looking for light 💡
It feels, just in these past couple of days, that there's a breaking from this age of ongoing grievance that started when Trump came on the scene. A lot of money has been made by those capitalizing on the acknowledgement and airing of people's woes but something has happened with Harris coming out of the shadows. There's a new, brighter energy that is taking over.

It's weird that news networks keep listing Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg as former mayor. I'm not saying being a mayor isn't good, but the guy is a senior cabinet secretary for the current President managing a 1 trillion dollar infrastructure budget.

You just can’t get tired of listening to Pete Buttigieg, what integrity, what wisdom, what intelligence, what freedom of speech. I feel the same energy as I did when I started supporting Obama. I was originally supporting McCain, as I was a registered Republican, but when they pushed and chose Palin, I realized I was supporting the wrong person. I started paying attention. So much attention, that I joined his campaign, twice. I switched parties as well. I was truly inspired by him, his intelligence, and his character. Pete is equally brilliant and well-spoken. Pete Buttigieg is my first choice for VP. Not only because he's fantastic but he is young. He is the future. Tim Walz and Mark Kelly have great credential but are the same age as Kamala and will be pushing 70 when she finishes her second term. Pete, Andy Beshear and Josh Shapiro are all in their 40's and most importantly, aren't in Congress. No matter who she picks, it's KAMALA ALL THE WAY!!!

Bernie Sanders is to me the custodian of the soul of America. My best-loved choice for VP is Pete Buttigieg. He is extraordinary. One has to see this ticket in the context of potential voters. Would the people choose a party with a Black woman as President and someone from the LGBTQ community as VP? To me, it doesn't matter. To me, it is about the best person for the job. It's about the people who will move Americans into hope, faith, love and joy for everyone in the US. I am beside myself with happiness that this is a serious opportunity for Democracy to take flight. It's like I'm experiencing perfect-pitch music in my ears, crystal-clear vision in my eyes, and the sweet, sweet smell of newly mown grass and home-baked yeasty bread baking. Pete Buttigieg is intelligent and articulate and would, one day, make an excellent POTUS, but he would not bring in more votes for Harris as many folks are against any LGBT person. I think that Mark Kelly would be a better choice and would not have folks who would have a visceral reaction against him, plus he is from a swing state with a Democratic governor.
Do not install the older generation no matter how competent into the Harris administration. They can have cabinet posts. We want to cultivate a VP leader who will want to capably step into the Presidency 8 years from now. We don't want to fuel racists or sexists. We want to galvanize a generation of Americans who intend to defend our freedoms and our leadership in the world. It's time for a change to real American refreshed and energetic smart young and dynamic thinkers who project satisfaction and American joy.

I remember Pete talking about "freedom" on a talk show a couple of years ago, and he said we should focus more on the "freedom to" as opposed to "freedom from". Very thought provoking.
