I think the boat clocks are the real iconic part of this series, more so than the afk fisher
Spot on, nobody ever things about the lowest of tech Redstone. works so well too.
what is the boat clock used for? i cant figure it out lol
@@acenuchiha3233 It switches the water on/off so that mobs get flushed down
@@acenuchiha3233 well he doesnt have access to any other Redstone blocks to make other clocks. therefore using boats to make the water flush every X seconds...normally you use hopper clocks, onservers or just simply repeaters to make clocks, but without stone he cant do any of those
@@acenuchiha3233 basic clock for starters. the boat goes in a circle with pressure plates on both ends. when the boat passes thru the plate, it will turn the redstone torch off that will open the trap doors flushing the mobs.
I don't normally watch your content a lot, but I have found myself watching almost every episode of this series! It is relatable, fun, and interesting. Keep it going!
I didnt know about his channel before the series, and I'm loving it
Yea exactly, I've hardly ever watched Ilmango's videos except for farms maybe. But, I just cant miss any from this series. There's lot to learn and it is actually really new and interesting.
I second this, I was subbed and watched a couple occasionally, but this is the first series I'm really invested in.
very relatable for me
As someone who lives in a floating island over the void, I agree, this is very relatable
Can't believe we're up to episode 12 already, you are really working hard
Feels like he started last week haha. He’s pumping them out
The crazy thing isn’t that we have 12 already it’s how much he’s accomplished in just 12 episodes. Both are very impressive
time flies when you’re having fun
ikr! and its actuality interesting to me.
I thought this would be a slow boring grind but the game mechanics being used are so interesting.
@@theaddict3101 oh yeah for sure, so much done in relatively short amount of time.
"Don't worry guys, i've read the hundreds of comments, I'm gonna use the sword to cut down the bamboo" *sword breaks* (14:38)
Why I just punch the bamboo 😆Slower but free.
Swords are fast but it costs 2 durability. Using an axe provides tradeoff between speed and economics.
@@ancillarity it takes less than one log to craft a sword, about as cheap as it gets
@@jabarzua Is an axe more than twice the wood of a sword to make, though?

I'm gonna miss the timelapses with prismarine blocks once ilmango has a more easily producable building block because it's just so satisfying to see the colors fade
Never realised prismarine did this fade thing before reading this comment….
Fade? What do you mean? Do those blocks change color over time or something?
@@Gandhi_Physique yes😊
@@Gandhi_Physique cycles between a green and a purple
@@Gandhi_Physique yes look at the timelapse and u will see it change color. Ingame its very slow but these sped up timelapses show it pretty well
The optimal biome to build the farm in is actually not the Old Growth Pine Taiga but rather a biome where strays can spawn. If you build your farm in one of these biomes, 80% of the skeleton spawns are replaced with stray spawns. However, strays can only spawn on the surface, making these spawns fail, freeing up the mobcap for more zombies.
you're right. missed that one unfortunately
@@ilmango hi please how can i build the same ? can you shaire schcematics ?
Love your skyblock series, it's like a treat every other day after uni.
for me it’s a treat every other day before uni😂
Same
exactly man i love to chill after a hard day watching this
This is by far my favorite Minecraft series right now. The amount of work put into each episode is insane, I get so excited every time I see a new one come out
And it’s not over the top acting with loud noises and fake hype. It’s just pure. That’s why I like it too
@@RandyPrimus Me too its so chill makes me want to literally go buy a like 600$ pc and just play minecraft on it
I love how uniquely simple your thumbnails are. Episode number, mango (patent pending) top right, and a quick screenshot.
No arrows, misleading titles, annoying "like and subscribe jingles" etc. You're not loud and obnoxious. When you entertain, it doesn't feel forced, just feels like a guy having fun. It's honestly refreshing
Before "the algorithm" took over, everybody was like that. It's the old-school youtube vibe.
@@QuasarEE ik that's why I like it. You should get views based on the contents of the video, not a single picture and loud people that appeal to children.
This series is teaching me so much about this game!
Half an hour of watching your skyblock series feels like only watching for 10 minutes 😅 This series is so entertaining to watch.
I’m actually loving the amount of high quality 2010 redstone in this series.
My sense of humor is so broken that Mango saying he's using his sword to collect bamboo, and then immediately breaking it, was comedy gold for me.
I always love how the prismarine throws a rave every timelapse
Illmango has more farms in his 3 weeks old skyblock world than me in my year old survival world.
Rel
When resources are limited, the imagination florishes.
ianxofour's copper farm drops a ton of iron, since a lot aside from the drowned a lot of zombies are also killed.
Can confirm, once you got a ton of mob in there (e.g. > 400 mobs), pruning them drops you a lot of zombies loot including irons, carrots, potatoes, swords, armors, etc.
It's where I got my 18 gold ingots in my vanilla skyblock world (unlike this series, I have access to furnace). Got it in less than three hours of farming.
Should definitely check the xp cost of enchanting if you switch the items around in the anvil's UI 👍. Can't get enough of this series!
I always feel so excited whenever there's a notification about this series!
Same!
I know you don't want to spend the time to make a whole farm based on it, but I would absolutely love a series one day of finding ways to allow ONLY specific mob spawns if possible. Maybe one day it will catch your interest again lol
I think the difference in zombie spawning might be due to the way villages spawn in taiga biomes. I think there is a higher chance to get an abandoned village in a tiaga biome
What an interesting series! There are so many completely new obstacles to overcome! Already learned quiet a lot about the game again!
i hope u know its not vanilla. not all of these features are in the actual game
@@Le_Bronzo but the vast majority of them are. I am learning a lot too, it's good to see what you can do with a limited amount of resources.
@@joe_fergs limited resources and a bunch of mods
Thank you for the 3-wide bridge mango :D
Also these videos are my favourite ones right now. I think I like these quest/checklist type series people do and you're a really genuine and nice guy which makes it better! Plus the frequent uploads means I don't have to wait long!
Keep up the good work as always!
I'm really enjoying this series, thanks for sticking with it!!
Imagine if anvils were still 7 iron blocks to craft; now that would be a lot of grinding
I don't remember that ever being the case
@@Whatismusic123 You're right. I misremembered; it was actually 6 blocks and an ingot and it was only in a snapshot. It's a few years ago so the details got a bit fuzzy on me
I love this series! Even tried it out on my own but that just made me realize how much time you put into this and how hard it was to keep it up, thank you for the content!
I love this series, really great to see you doing solo content. Keep it up!
Refreshing to see an iron sword being a real significant milestone. Really digging the pacing on this series
Meet Ilmango, The man that spends 25 hours a day playing minecraft
BTW love the uploads
being an advanced player means you spend less time to achieve better goals
Best of all, tick warp makes this essentially possible 😌
I love how at 17:00 the freecam pans over letting us see the spider farm vibing in the bg.
Edit: woah it's pulsing in sync with the music, that's so satisfying to watch
That's gotta be intentional
Loving the series, Mango. keep it up! This is currently my favorite series on youtube. I really like the pure efficiency of your builds and love the frequent use of free-cam and your creative test worlds.
Love it! Just love ur contact and also so much hard work to complete these episodes
Love how the spider farm in the background is going on beat with the music 17:34
Omg epic!
Favorite series currently on CZcams. Please keep it up, always excellent work!
Nice farm! I am amazed by your knowledge of Minecraft logics and mechanics
The series by which all other Skyblock series will be measured. Amazing.
Absolutely loving this series, it’s been so much fun to watch I started my own sky lock world 😂
much love mango! doing the same challenge in my own singleplayer and its a lot of fun to play alongside you!
I hope your growth is exploding with the recent CONSISTENT uploads ilmango!!! 1 million is deservedly coming
Really been enjoying this series and the upload schedule is amazing! Thnx Mango!
This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! Thanks for bring vanilla skyblock back into the limelight 🎉
Yay, I'm loving these vids.
Keep up the great work!
Really enjoying the series. I immediately put the path finding mob farm into my world for sand gathering. Also, loving the variety of time lapse music!
Absolutely am loving this series. Thank you!
i was so relaxed i almost slept. this is a compliement. i never do this while watching. skyblock with you is just, so chill, peaceful. i like it very much man. keep it up
The farm in the background playing the disco light, very nice. Keep it up ilmango, impressing upload schedule!
Seriously, I'm loving these videos happening that frequently, it's making my week happier
Got pointed here by doc and I love this series! Also the timelapse’s are so satisfying with the prismerene changing colors.
Dude this series is so good I cant wait to see him progress even more.
love this series, you really challenged yourself with this one
this series is awesome, i am learning so much about the game metrics. Keep going love the content
Continuing to love this series, the amount of work you are putting in is insane!
Enjoying the series so much, ilmango! Thanks
I am really loving this new series, keep up the good work
Mango my man working hard on these episodes. I love it!
22:04 You could try switching the places of the items you want to combine in the anvil, which may reduce the level requirements. But that said, with such an efficient XP farm right next to it, it shouldn't matter.
The damaged rod was already in the second slot, so switching would make it more expensive
I feel your pain with the bow. Once I accidentally crafted one of my mending/infinity bows into a dispenser
I've always been a fan.
But this series has truly led me to watch regularly and wait impatiently for the next video!
Thanks man. Keep em coming!
Ah always nice to see pop up. Fave mc series right now
Getting to binge these now is a blast. This is probably the only Let's Play I've ever rewatched.
Thanks for all the content you're amazing!
Love this series! keep up the great work Mango!
Ah perfect! It's 1am here, and I was hoping there'd be another episode to watch before I sleep :D
Nice to see your eye is still on the prize! Can't wait to see how far you get in the next couple of episodes
Beautifully crafted video, as always
Really loving this series..
Thanks man ❤️
Thank you for making those paths wider 😘
I am sooooo addicted to this series. Great job Mango
Great video Ilmango! keep up the great work!
just wanna leave a comment reiterating a common sentiment in this comment section:
these videos are fantastic, this series has been awesome for figuring out how farm making works and the thought process behind it. I love building farms but found it difficult to design my own, this series has pretty much taken down the barrier of entry I felt trying to design my own. thanks a lot for making such an entertaining and informative series!
17:35 I love how the farm in the background is pulsing to the beat of the music, nice.
Love this series man its like probably one of my favorite series' on youtube rn
Great track for the time lapse build and I gotta say, I don't know if it was on purpose or not but the farm pulsing to the beat in the background was really satisfying lol
Hey man, I’m having a stressful time at work and life and you give me some relief man. I really appreciate your work and thank you my guy
Loving this series! Hoping you make your way to a mushroom biome for the wandering trader farm ❤
Please dont burn out, this series are fucking great.
those videos are such a joy thanks ilmango! but feel free to slow donw not to burn out because you really are putting those videos out fast!
I cant wait for the next episode, I could watch this the hole day!
i really like this series, every episode is a treat
Loving the series, keep them coming
Ive always just watched you here and there when you post a cool project, but im invested now, your upload schedule and content is captivating
Actually, you can convert a Husk into a normal zombie in the exact same way than for the drowned conversion. So maybe you can do the same thing for the copper farm by using Husk that would spawn in a desert. However, that would only work at night since Husk doesn’t spawn if there is a roof.
That sounds interesting. Do husks have a reinforcement mechanic?
I really appreciate the extra effort for the wider walkways
i love these videos edit: I would love to watch you absolutely demolish the Vault Hunters modpack. You would make so many farms and automate a lot of things using vanilla mechanics, then update it when you unlock modded features
You said you read all the comments, so I wanted to mention something that may be useful for you in future builds with large block amounts.
Llamas have a caravan feature where up to 9 llamas will follow one that you pull via a lead. Combining that with the storage they have (1-5 columns of 3 slots, breed dependent though), you can bring a bunch more things (27-135 extra stacks of blocks with 9 llamas) with you at once, which may be helpful in the future.
I don’t know how well the pathing is for 1-wide paths though, so maybe it won’t work out, but it’s definitely worth a try for you before you start building even bigger things that’d take many trips back and forth (pre-shulkers, at least).
Episode 12?
Already?
This is lovely
episode 12 and he is already burning witches 24:55
This is just really nice to watch someone who knows all these interesting mechanics and is able to make a near vanilla skyblock world actually possible.
I am always watching these videos twice. To help me sleep and then in the morning because I slept through half of the video xD
Yay ty for making this a playlist!
I always love Timelapses with Prismarine, because the colour switches so calmly
Best MC series on YT right now. ❤
Awesome episode!!! love the series!!!
Skyblock has always been my favorite nonstandard version of Minecraft by a huge margin.
And as I expected, this one is absolutely rocking. :)
Love the constant content🤩🤩🤩so entertaining and educational thanks man
Love the series!
I'm really enjoying this series.
i love this series so much
17:36 The water dispenser for spider farm sync nicely to the beat :D
This is my favorite series right now!!!!
the only problem with this series is that I am enjoying it more than I would if I did my own skyblock world
Thank you for making the walkways wider =)
