It's not about the vocals. It's the bassline that defines the trancy movement. That's why the effect which makes such "motoristic trembling" feeling is called "trance". And usually it sounds well at speeds higher than 136 BPM. But he manages to make it sound at lower speeds...that's what defines a mature producer: being able to get the feeling whenever whatever.
Why does this song has so less views?
It is a very underrated song...it's one of the best songs in dance music history..

dude. Wait till the next album and you'll find "shivers"-type tracks there. Every DJ is evolving in some way, it's natural that nowadays AVB it's not the same he was for example 10 years ago. And it's just one goddamn track, this one is "in and out of love"-type for wider range of listeners. I'm sure AVB will release some kickass tracks soon :)

Not only the bassline "defines the trancy movement". Actually everything in the dub version. It's Armin's progressive Trance style 100%. I didn't say that the vocals make it Trancy, on the contrary, the vocals can confuse you somehow, like it did with other people who say it's "pop".

If this is the "Trance 3.0" that Armin described, then I'm OK with it. Very nice track, and his maturity in music production shows.
i found this album to be somewhat divisive. yeah im one of those haha BUT! i find this track soooo special.. feels like it's an extension from his mirage album. just a very special kind of melodic banger.. 7 years later and i still cant get enough of that outro..
I hope so. But they're not evolving in a good way, they're becoming mainstream artists. I really hope that 2013 is going to be the year when trance goes back to its roots.

All of the songs you listed above are Trance, especially "Burned with desire" that's one of the most pure Trance tracks of all time. All of those songs you listed have a Trancy melody. Some of them are uplifting, some are euphoric. and they suit Trance very very well. This song, "Waiting for the night" has a bit different vocals than he usually had in his other songs.

Not really, this beat is really trancy, you can hear it especially at the start, don't forget this is also for a movie, and wants to appeal to everyone who sees it. And he does have songs less trancy back in the day aswell :). I like it!

I personally think this version has a special uniqueness to it. It's pure trance. Different style but I like it. Beat service remix is good too, but I think it adds a lot of stuff, which makes it very loud especially if you are not use ot listening to trance music. This can capture anyone's attention.
