At about 5:53 in the clip, it was mentioned that there cannot be Roughing the Kicker on the quick kick because team K was not in a scrimmage kick formation? Technically, there still can be roughing the kicker. There can be no roughing the snapper, but there still can be roughing the kicker. Please confirm or deny.
@@WPIALFootballOfficials Thank you for the great video. I do want to say that while roughing the snapper does require a legal scrimmage kick formation, roughing the kicker does not hold any such restrictions. 9-4-5, 2-32-8
@@WPIALFootballOfficials Great video but 9-4-5 doesn't include A having to be in scrimmage kick formation for roughing the passer. Which rule requires it?
On the touchdown play with the dead ball foul, even if it had been a live ball foul and A scored, A has options to enforce on the the try or succeeding kickoff under 8-2-2.
And on the first play you were talking about 4th down situational mechanics, the play wouldn't have counted as it was an illegal formation. They had 5 players in the back field.
@@jettacopI am not sure I agree with you. The player at the LOS at the bottom is back but I think he still would qualify as being on the LOS (breaking the center’s backside).
R's contact/block with K was first inbounds and forced OOB. Not enough to flag for PF from my angle. Enforcement spot was end of the kick. Should have been enforced end of the RUN. (ALL P/F enforced as dead ball fouls)
It may have been inbounds however it was well past the time he scored. It was unnecessary and a flag for a PF is supported in that instance. Thank you for catching the enforcement slip up.
Play two looks like it could be an illegal shift. The QB goes in motion just after the TE puts his hand down to get set. Not sure he was quite set when the QB was in motion.
There is a brief moment where the player is set prior to the qb moving. We as officials want quality calls that affect the game. Every call we make we should be comfortable calling the winning TD back in the biggest game of the year in our area. I would not call an illegal shift in this case.
On goal line mechanics does the short wing have the outside guy of the formation and does trips change the key? I believe Brian said in the video that the short wing had the 2 inside guys. Just a clarification.
About the 10-minute mark - I believe that was a legal touch signal indicating an eligible receiver.
Great job. Love your analysis. Makes is all better
Thank you for the comment. I am glad you learn something from the videos.

There is no roughing the snapper and kicker since they are not lined up in scrimmage kick formation.

Thank you for correcting me
I love these videos and training aids.... I'm not a western Pa guy (District 11) but nonetheless they're great and educational.

@@WPIALFootballOfficials Was there one second before the snap? I think I would have an illegal shift unless you're confident there was the one second.

Technically yes but you’re going to let the play dictate your coverage especially since no one is pressed.
