- Question: what’s more terrifying than a giant Sonic the Hedgehog on the rampage? Answer: a giant kaiju that is more powerful than Super Sonic. Tails, Amy Rose, Big the Cat and Cream the Rabbit can’t take down this monster alone: they need Knuckles the Echidna to get inside the Blue mech and be the leader he can be.
But, matters are more complicated when they revolve around both Sonic AND Knuckles. The Red Guy is even tougher to deal with when it becomes Sonic vs Knuckles. But, Super Knuckles better make an appearance soon if Mr. Guardian doesn’t want the Sonic Prime kaiju to go all Sonic Boom on this walled city.

I like this version of Knuckles. The fact that he actually still cares for his friends and this city is heart warming!❤️

Actual Knuckles didn't care enough to protect the emerald.
I think Knuckles has that tough love for the gang because while he does care about them, he wants them to be able to fend for themselves just in case of an emergency. I’m glad he does care deeply. That cliffhanger though too really leaves the suspense on how Tails will tell the others about what actually happened. This is pretty good story telling
It would be a cool twist if that was the crazy tails that is obsessed with sonic
He cares for them but he's starting to lose it with the more that they lose too its why he has tough love especially at a time like this

I believe Tail's hesitation to go after the Kaiju is to make sure it's not his idea, but Knuckles's idea to kill sonic. It's not a matter of him wanting to protect sonic, it's about accountability. He's making sure it's clear to everyone that it was Knuckles's idea to kill sonic, not his. That's Tails's way of creating guilt, loss of faith and trust in Knuckles, and overall chaos after Knuckles defeats the Kaiju.
That's what I came up with anyways.
Yeah but if he reveals now what he told Knucles, that would make his whole plan useless and would end it here. Se already have a crazy Tails, and adding this to the plot specifically when it ended would not make the story go forward

The revelation that Tails never told anybody what he disclosed to Knuckles, and that Knuckles sounded like he wanted to twist the boy's arm to make him say it is gut wrenching. Because this means, by holding back information relevant to situation, he effectively accounts for the *graveyards* of lives lost to the monster that used to be their teammate.
So yeah, Knuckles has every right to be pissed off with Tails at this point, essentially since he basically tried to sweep it under the rug like a coward. To give the devil his due, Considering Sonic and the monster are one and the same now, he may as well BE dead. But *implied* death is not *confirmed* death, and the massacre we see in this series speaks for itself
Admittedly, the sight of Knuckles calling Tails out and sticking up for his teammates is refreshing rather than the vigilant loner he usually is...and this guy is having NONE of Tails' BS. Just Wow.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Secret Histories Tails in disguise again, and he'd done this to Sonic to begin with, before offering to alter Knuckles to "make him strong enough to fight it" or smth, if I'm being honest; it already makes a lot of sense.
Probably kill tails before the battle so he can manipulate the situation which would account for him being so late in the fight.
Although, if this IS SH Tails in another disguise, he might have been keeping this info from everyone besides Knuckles because he was hoping to manipulate Knuckles the same way he did with Amy. Or he might even be withholding information from Knuckles to suit his own ends.
you also have to keep in mind that even IF the possibility of Saving Freeing Sonic remains would the poor Blue Hedgehog be able to look at himself in a mirror or even want to go on living, given how many people he's killed including those closest to him? The guy's caused horrific trauma to his teammates so they'd always be on guard around him his trust with them is morally destroyed what in the hell would he have left after that his life? There'd be no gurantee he'd even Look the same or wouldn't suffer some kind of Physical side-effects from being the Kaiju for such a long period.He'd see himself as a "Monster" both figurativly and metephorically as well as literally all at once, he Wouldn't be the SAME Sonic dread and self-doubt lead to self-destruction in the end. Not to mention Knuckles has been more or less holding his spot as the Defacto-leader so there would be a grudge there after all the sh-t that Sonic has done to everyone or the fact Tails took the cowards way out and chose NOT to tell anyone out of screwing up everyone's Morale instead of giving the cold hard facts that their leader was no more and that it was their responsibility AS his Teammates to END his Suffering. But nope he was a coward all the way to the end until Knuckles forced him into a corner with no way to hide his cowardice anymore.. Two Questions remain then,
HOW did Tails survive the encounter at the facility, and WHY Was Sonic the Only one turned into a monster but NOT Tails also? Did Tails simply leave him to die, OR Did Sonic try to save him and was caught instead?
If it is SH tails I think we can chalk up the Kaiju sonic to his doing. GUARANTEED
The amount of professionalism and skill at work here is mind boggling.
This could easily be a full animated show its just that good.

Love how you can already see Tails playing both sides again. He plants the idea in Knuckles' mind that the Kaiju has to die, pushing him to even be willing to kill Sonic. But when Knuckles falls in line with that idea, immediately Tails pulls back a little, telling him they can't do it yet, making it seem like it's Knuckles' idea to kill the Kaiju.
That barrage of angst from Knuckles is just what Tails wanted. Fell for it hook, line, and sinker
It seems that Knuckles' "voices" in his head are not only doubts of himself, but doubts of others. He seemed more focused on the kaiju until his "voice" pointed out the fact that Tails wanted to protect it, doubting his loyalty to the protection of the city.
Anyways, the animation and voice acting on this is actually amazing, great work!
i kinda saw it as the voice of his logical sense? I mean, if that beast is STILL alive to this day even though there's many reasons to do so, and knowing that Tails knows that Sonic is inside of that beast and he would rather let him live than protect the others? I saw it as Knuckles just seeing Tails's reaction on protecting the others as non genuine.
@@nicoleflores2054 Tho i don't think even if they wanted to they could've killed it. Like look at how badly injured everyone in the group was. And their machines were really broken as well.

Something that I find interesting is in the episode before this, tails seemed insistent on having to kill the Kaiju (or in this case, “sonic”) only now to be hesitant to try and kill it now that it’s weak, and while we know that events likely transpired between the last episode and what we see here, it doesn’t seem like tails was that involved, showing up right before the Kaiju runs away, and compared to knuckles and Amy’s suits, lacking in any battle damage (yes, the same can be said for big, cream, and blaze, but in the last episode tails was with knuckles when the Kaiju started approaching the city)
And while this could be chalked up to tails thinking that in their current state they can’t go after the Kaiju and win, another possibility is maybe, like with TSAA, the tails in this episode isn’t the same as the one from the last episode
Yeah maybe possibly from how Knuckles realize he's protecting him it might be more then just that What If This Tails (from Secret History) learned how to control the Sonic Kaiju henceforth why he told only knuckles about the Truth because he had plans for him in the overarching plot of His Amy's and Sonic's? plan on taking pieces of each Universe to create their own utopia of a Universe

The Tails we saw in the previous episode was the Crazy Tails, while the Tails in this episode is the Tails of this universe who wasn't killed and replaced by the Crazy Tails?
@@jamesloveland7315 no I mean the Tails In this Episode is the Tails that Replaced the Other Tails but I also think not only did he replaced him but might have found something that the other Tails might have been using to control said Sonic Kaiju since for some reason he shows up after the fight has ended suspiciously so at least that's how I interpreted this episode
Plus do you really think that with a Sonic Multiverse all Tails will be considered Good Tails there might be more Tails that are like Secret Histories Tails but are probably not as smart as The Secret Histories Tails

That crystal in the Kaiju’s head as an eye, as well trapping this dimensions Sonic is possibly what SH Tails is after, but it’s not ready yet, so he’s stalling until he believes it to be ready for his plans.
Also in the prior episode tails offered knuckles a drink and then said 'WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR' wich is what he always said to Amy when she asked for advice until eventually he made her go insane.
Okay but that shot of Amy coming out of nowhere and Knuckles not even looking just holding out the hammer like "Here" is honestly a great shot
Gotta say this is getting better and better by the minute. Whoever thinks of these is truly a phenomenal story teller. The animation here is totally bonkers too. I love everything about this. Idk who was in the knuckles mech but if it’s Mighty honestly not a bad replacement.
Edit: Oh wait was it blaze? My bad
Fun fact,in episode 2 when knuckles is looking at the grave yard,one of the tomb stones said mighty on it, implying that he is already dead ☹️

The fact that we know that Secret Histories Tails is plotting something adds so much to the mystery.
At first with the Amy arc, we knew that Tails was up to something, but had no idea that it was Secret Histories Tails. That mystery works best when we don't know the full picture that's then pulled from the rug at the end.
But here, we know that SH Tails is here. It's a completely different feeling than in Amy's story.
But we still have the mystery, just in a different form.
"Bloody hell, three weeks?!" Seriously, it's amazing how quickly this stuff is pumped out, yet the quality has stayed consistently high! Good work all around, I only hope working this hard and fast doesn't burn out everyone who works on these.
I seriously love this Amy, I already said in the 1st part that I don't use to like changes in the characters (even for fanfictions) but I really think that this personality suits her. I think all the main characters still the same (80-90%).... except Amy and I appreciate it.

Secrets:
When you see the civilians flee, you can see a child crying, holding a white wisp toy.
The guards fire off projectiles that look like the drill wisps.
Big holds a pillow of Froggy, possibly since he died and Big needs to cope with the trauma.
The Sonikaiju escapes slightly faster than last time, implying the team actually tried, even with broken mechs.
Blaze was the one piloting R.E.D. It contradicts the theory that Blaze and Silver died, and had their faces put onto P.I.N.K's cannons.
My theory: Tails in the Mecheval universe is not evil. There are specific types of Tails, and it was only the Insane Tails that went evil as far as we know.
I have no clue Where this series is going, but it's giving off some Dark Knights Metal (/That one story with the evil versions of batman) vibes and i like it.
I am now caught up and will watch future parts with great interest

Too dang short, but what a fight scene! I love this so much, and I really hope there isn't another shoe to drop with "Best Friend Tails" making an unwanted appearance.
Bruh, the whole "There's Something About *name*" series is about how SH!Tails(or i perfer Miles for him) is travelling from world to world, from dimension to dimension, so he will definitely show up here.
I like how knuckles is written here he has that insanity kind of vibe going for him. I know he cares much for the gang in all, but his mind keeps screwing him over and making up false accusations to lead him to somewhat bash his friends.
Knuckles revealing this seems to solve a lot of problems that tails could use to manipulate him. But still thinks Tails will try to crush Knuckles with pressure about his responsibilities.

I didn't expected this chapter to be short but i would lie if I didn't say that this is a really good one.
-The improvement in the animation is noticeable and the fight scenes along with the movement of the characters looked fluid than ever, props to the crew!
-The implication that Tails technically endangered EVERYONE by not telling everyone that it's sonic in that thing which they let him alive to this day? I have bad sense on what he would say in the next chapter might be not the truth.
-Blaze being part of the team?? extra bonus, no arguments on that.

The artstyle and story are just so phenomenal. It does not dissapoint.
Can't belive every new Episode is as engaging as the episodes before
this almost feels like a twist on knuckles getting fooled by eggman for the umpteenth time. moreso in the sense that he got tricked into turning on Sonic & co several times. Here Knuckles turns on everyone and is letting paranoia get the best of him. He cares about everyone but at the same time lashes out at them and mentally considers them threats or even saboteurs if his orders are challenged too much.
despite being edgy as hell, it really is an interesting take on him,

The quality of this is genuinely really good and I like this version of Knuckles. He cares of his friends, but also wants them to fend for themselves if needed. The story writing is also pretty intense.

The level of storytelling and creativity that Mashed has is so amazing, I can’t believe that they can think of these gripping and emotional stories. I love it, can’t wait for Part 4!
I feel like SH Tails, Psycho Amy, and Warrior Knuckles all have something in common... They losst their minds because of one thing each.
-Tails always saw Sonic as his best friend, until Sonic snapped, telling Tails off.
-Amy was so crazily in love with Sonic, she'd do anything to make him love her.
-Knuckles lost his Sonic to the infection of a beast, and the voices grew louder.
It all ties back to Sonic...

This is so well animated, I honestly got really annoyed for a second because this episode was so short. Then I remembered it isn't an ongoing TV show 😂

I like how Knuckles made the decision of killing the beast even tho it means killing Sonic, he wants to save him too but he knows that it isn’t an option without sacrificing the lives of almost everyone in the walls trying to do so. If it means he can prevent the deaths of anyone else within the walls he won’t hesitate to sacrifice Sonics life.

Only 3 minutes of the episode and I can’t last another second without watching this series, it’s amazing
I finished watching SAA and just got through SAK up to this point, and I'm now +Subscribed and fully invested. I _have_ to see where the story goes forward! I've never seen Sonic combined with Pacific Rim before, but it really, really works. Knuckles also genuinely sounds better than any incarnation of him I've ever heard, whether official or fanmade. The raw power and emotion in his voice is conveyed so well. And geez, Eileen has such an impressive vocal range as well.
At this point given how much Knuckles is done with Tails and so on, I now wonder how the Tails we keep expecting to see show up will do his inevitable thing. Especially since Knuckles looks ready to punch Tails' face in as-is, let alone the moment he discovers the actual truth to come likely next part.

This seems contradictory to what Tails said in the last episode saying they have to kill the kaiju but now he apparently doesn’t want to kill it?
This tails and the one from the previous episode are not necessarily the same, even if they are, it could easily be contributing to the big reveal, little clue "what are friends for?" of the previous episode and the title of this video.
Ya know as much as Knuckles is being portrayed as a stressed leader who’s bordering on psychosis, I gotta give props that if I was also second best in the crew, forced to become leader, a gigantic mutant keeps rampaging my fucking city every damn day, and we are continually pulling bare minimum ties against the giant and not actually winning, then yeah I would also probably be fucking pissed and ready to explode.
Props to the people writing doing a super bang up job!

I’m starting to think I was right, this Tails can’t be evil Tails. He might be, but at the point I think it would be more interesting if we see manipulative Tails actively replace good Tail. Or maybe Amy will be replaced this time around. I genuinely can’t wait, this series has me theorizing more than some actual mystery shows.
I think you might be right. And it would be lazy if they included evil tails in every part until sometime when it's right.
I kinda wish people would stop rushing mashed into completing these animations faster because we want a great series that isn’t rushed, not a series that’s rushed by fans demanding they do it faster

Once again, this was amazing work, Mashed! The pacing and structure of the action, I found, was excellent, especially how you incorporated the abilities of the mechs and the characters piloting them. The development of the plot surrounding what had truly happened to this universe's Sonic had also been handled greatly. With this, I can't wait to see how proceeds from here, and how Tails will discuss what he had told Knuckles, prior, and how all of this will affect Knuckles, himself, later on!
my god, the music, the dialogue, the voice acting, the animation it's all just top notch. I keep being mind blown by you guys and when you think they can't possibly 1 up that, you go and do it with such grace it's absolutely breathtaking

This series is SO STRANGE. The whole tone switched from Super Sus, to now heartwarming and suspenseful action shorts! Lol I wonder what’ll happen when there’s “something about Tails” haha! Maybe we’ll finally understand WHAT THE HECK IS GOIN ON, after Tails got killed by this weird clone haha

I discovered this channel for the first episode of Something About Amy. Now, I’ve finished the first chapter and what’s out for Something About Knuckles and let me tell you I am BLOWN away. Absolutely phenomenal work and I’m SO excited to see how you guys fix Silver’s character because I honestly love him from the comics and there’s so much potential for him in this project!!
On the other hand, since Silver was casted out of the team last episode, I’m deathly curious to know who’s manning his old Mecha!! The idea of what Shadow in this chapter could be up to is DEFINITELY keeping on edge, too.
Knuckles struggling with intrusive thoughts and intense guilt while being the big scary leader who’s too afraid to let anyone know he’s hurting out of the idea that he’s weak- but then keeping the core parts of his personality like being hot headed just adds SO much depth to him, which in my opinion, most fan projects/portrayals greatly lack.
Final thought, you guys are crazy talented. Writing, character development, animation, fight sequences, voices, character design, ALL of it has blown my mind. I can’t wait for more of this!

The way Amy crying shows that she might already know what tails is about to say and is scared to hear it. I fear if Amy knows that the beast they are fighting is sonic that she wouldn't allow knuckles and the rest of the team kill sonic knowing she has already killed her sonic in her universe I doubt she could handle another sonic dead. This knuckles sure is not as gullible as the knuckles we know in the games and comics. He may not be as smart as tails but he sure can put two and two together but I feel if like tails might make Amy and Knuckles against each other. Where one wants to kill sonic to protect the lives of many and the other just wants to protect Sonic and be with him.
This turned out sooooo good!! I can't wait for the next chapter!!
