He said "Finally" because he was killing as many pirates as he could until they started the song. The song is what summons the Brethren Court. With them gathered, he could kill them all in one go.

lol btw @Chand911 was wrong @lordstarkiller2010 - the song doesn't summon the court the song is just a song of defiance if you will. Beckett was just enjoying ridding the world of suppose pirates. When becket finishes with those on land & takes to the sea with the Kragen & davie jones the brethen court is summoned by Barbossa to let combat Beckett & davie jones for control of the sea & Barbossa's secret weapon to help the pirates is his hope that freeing Calypso. Calypso the suppose love of Davie Jones who Jones felt betrayed by & thus turned to piracy. Barbossa's & the courts summoning was to unite the pirates around the world to fight beckett & hopefully by freeing calypso with her help against Jones the pirates hoped to stand a chance. THe song nor the singing in the beginning have nothing to do with the brethen court let alone summoning it. It's just a pirate song of defiance... BTW beckett doesn't know about calypaso & doesn't fear her once he finds out leading up to the final battle because he has davy jones & the flying dutchman. At least get it right....
That bit at the end with Bootstrap losing his memory as he becomes part of the ship breaks me every time. Reminds me of my grandfather as he was losing his memory to dementia. So hard to watch.

i watched my grandparents & my parents go through dementia & Alzheimer. What's hard to watch about it. Especially with Brandon going through it daily while in the white house. Sorry but it's just reality & part of life especially these days dementia & Alzheimer. My mom had both while my dad had dementia with Alzheimer with lewy bodies. BTW dementia is a broad name for memory lose & considered an illness by itself but Alzheimer has several variations with similar & each yet different issues & separate from dementia. Dementia is more common thus often used as a blanket term for all age related memory illness. But there's several that can happen together or individually or grow into one of the others.

Nah I think its actually quite the popular opinion its incredibly good. The trilogy as a whole is very underated they are fantastic movies
I agree. The ending didn't make sense though. The Dutchman can't make port, but Elizabeth can row out to the ship. Will spent days on the ship trying to get the key to the chest. Elizabeth can't spend two hours a day on the ship? Seemed like a hole in the story.
@@raymondamador1487 the explanation I always understood it to be was that Davy jones never did his job correctly since his heartbreak with Calypso, hence why he did whatever he wanted and went wherever he wanted to go, ignoring his job of guiding souls for 10 years straight. Hence his cursed appearance, his crews appearance and the Dutchman’s. So when Will took over, the price was to do the job correctly and not be corrupt like Davy jones was .
@@JDB6716 Right. The curse only prevents Jones from going on land and making port. It doesn't prevent anyone from stepping onto the Dutchman. As long as Will does his job, he can go to land, once every ten years. He can also rescue people, like Jones, and save them, unlike Jones. Which means people can step foot on his ship.

I’m a big proponent of not watching trailers, I don’t like to do it even now when I hear movies are coming out because there is so much spoilage that happens with modern trailers. I like to be absolutely surprised by every bit of footage, it helps to enhance the experience IMO
At World’s End is my fav out of all the PotC films. The music, the journey, the acting, the cast, the sets, the visual effects, etc.

Though not my favourite, this movie has some good moments and some decently quotable lines: "Words whispered through prison bars lose their charm" is such a fire line, and she delivered it masterfully.
Thank you for another entertaining reaction. What I enjoy most is when a person goes into a reaction with as little information as possible. So to me it is a good thing when trailers can be avoided and even movie posters can give away quite a lot. On the other hand I would not want someone to watch a genre that they do not enjoy, so it also can have a drawback when you are watching movies that get recommended to you. I for one hope you continue to have fun watching movies and making reaction videos like this!
"Hard to port!" "I wish I knew what that meant." Port and starboard are the naval terms for left and right. (My trick for remembering port means left is that both words have the same number of letters.) Hard to port means to make a sharp left turn. Hard can be thought of like how you'd turn a steering wheel in a car. If you turn it hard, you're putting a lot of force into it in order to make a sharp turn.

Watching the crescendo of how dark and twisted the world of the franchise turns now that it's been quite some years since I first saw them grants them the appreciation of being remembered among some of the most extraordinary sagas (because of how hard it is to do good sequels and on).
On the other hand it's just so great when you say stuff in Spanish, hshsh dunno but it's exciting.

Hard to Port means "turn left. A lot." In nautical terminology, port means left and starboard means right (when oriented toward the front of the ship.)
Why don't they just say "Turn left really hard" ?

I've seen some channels do a middle ground - look at a movie poster. I'd avoid the trailer to give a more genuine first impression. That's where the main strengths of reaction videos are, that initial impression, because it's completely honest, genuine, and often a relatable experience.

Trailers would be up to you. I'm sure most people go to new movies based on trailers, while sequels you generally base going partly on how much you liked the first one.

I highly suggest you watch the next two films in the Pirates series!
Personally, I only ever watch trailers if I'm in doubt whether I want to watch something or not (or play, in the case of video games), a good trailer may convince you to engage with something you'd never thought could appeal to you otherwise, but if you're already decided, watching trailers will do nothing but potentially either spoil the plot for you, or hype you up to the point where the final product will inevitably disappoint you.
10:50 little thing that the film didnt portray right, but davey jones doesn't get upset because he shed a tear. he heard the boots from the red coats stomping above him which gets him riled up. we dont actually get to see how he truly felt about the tear in that moment, as he was interupted
This is blatantly untrue. He got angry because he knows the only time he can shed tears is when the heart is nearby (which is why he was surprised to have shed one in the first place, it isn't normally possible) Then, it occurred to him that the only way the heart could be near is if Beckett brought it. It had absolutely nothing to do with him hearing boots. That is utter nonsense.

Part 2 when?
People can say what they want about this trilogy and I agree that the first one is the objectively superior movie out of the entire franchise but god damn I love these first three movies.
No trailers if you want to do a reaction. Too many spoilers and they give away way too much of the movies these days. Knowing the cast is usually harmless, but that's up to you. Otherwise, just movie title and year of release is enough (as many movies can have duplicate titles, including remakes).

How is nobody talking about PT2 being missing?
This movie is how I learned I am a flat earthier. It makes sense that the edges of the earth are waterfalls into nothingness.
I struggle with the amount of pirate lore in this one; it becomes less about character dynamics and more rituals that don’t really mean anything! They spend 2hrs assembling a pirate army and then the 3 ships we already knew fight to decide which side wins!! It becomes apparent from this point on in the franchise the creators don’t really know what made it great in the first place. That and Johnny Depp forgets how to play Jack Sparrow…

I’d suggest avoiding trailers when you can. The purpose of trailers are to build hype and promote a film before release - months to a year ahead sometimes. You get to come at movies post release. Some trailers for even good movies can ruin amazing moments that would have hit harder, if they hadn’t been in the trailer.
I do enjoy how Elizabeth became a pirate in her own right - rather than a perpetual damsel in distress. Creating plots of her own.

I never understood why both sparrow and Barbosa were pirate lords, when barbosa was jack’s first mate. Why would a lord denote himself to serve under another lord? That makes no sense. I couldn’t “ suspend my disbelief “ on that one.
I think there is other canon media besides the movies. I remember i read somewhere that Barbossa had his own ship called the Cobra and was attacked and the ship sunk . He needed a new ship so he played nice with Jack and became his first mate until the mutiny.
We also know that Barbossa is pirate lord of the Caspian Sea .

I wish this movie delved more into Jack and Beckett’s history, and less about the Calypso plot. Calypso’s story is interesting, but it’s a shame that the other threads of the trilogy are pushed aside to make room for it.
