I've used this exact colour from Manic panic, mixed 2 parts conditioner with 1 part dye and my hair didnt even get pastel purple but VIBRANT PURPLE! If you want to make a toner, use a TINY LITTLE BIT of dye mixed with the conditioner. Less than a drop!!!!!
Oh and I love how she replies with "Apply to wet hair. Lather, rinse, and repeat. For additional brightening and color, leave second lather on for 3 to 5 minutes." to every comment, not even taking the time to read and answer them propperly...
I'm using the tiniest amount mixed with conditioner and it's helping get the orangey and yellow tones to look toned in my blonde hair. More than just a dab and it's lavender/purple hair

So that is a shampoo rather than a conditioner? Is there a reason that you chose that over conditioner?

That will dye your hair purple. It needs to be a lot lighter. It's a lot easier to put a little more purple in than take the purple out. And leave on for 30 mins or it will be darker where you first applied.

+DulceKaramelo03 Yup that will dye your hair purple. You’re supposed add only a half teaspoon of dye.
Considering I've been doing this for year with manic panic, it does work but I use half of what she is doing. If any of you are worried about your hair turning too purple go with a lighter shade of Manic panic purple.
it worked I did it for Shits and giggles and was shocked it worked. not as good as a purple shampoo or a toner but I did see a difference

I suppose it will also work with a brand other than manic panic? I have spare violet dye from Sparks, used it to get a nice shade of pink mixed with another color. You think a heavily diluted Sparks Purple Passion will work just as fine as Manic Panic Ultra Violet as a toner?

btw thats way too strong to tone blonde. id imagine just 10 mins with it on and you'd at least have a pastle purple

Use 1/4 this amount of purple if your hair is blonde to avoid lavender/purple hair

I used this in lightish blonde hair and instead of stripping the yellow or brassy tones it made them a nasty purple/copper color and my tips purple I didn't even leave it in that long did I do it rong?
+TheNoRedemption Make it lighter (not as much violet dye) and do a strand test next time, so you can judge how long it takes and if you need to adjust the formula. :)

Way to much purple ! Unless your going for the pastel look lol just a pea size amount would have worked fine ! And if do e correctly it will work if you have a light enough base for it
Pero siendo tinte (el manic panic) no se quedaría luego lila clarito? Es que yo ese procedimiento lo he visto hacer para tener el pelo de color pastel y luego queda un color muy clarito, no creo que esto sirva para tonificar los rubios :S

La cuestión es usar tinte SEMI permanente y utilizar muy poquita cantidad, cosa de que si te queda morado el cabello con 2 o 3 lavadas se te salga y ya te quede matizado rubio perfecto, aunq no debería suceder haciéndolo correctamente. Xox

Its a color of manic panic hair dye
The ultra violet hair dye is just a hair dye color from manic panic 🙂
It's just the name of the purple dye from manic panick, I think you can use any tipe of purple dye

another way is to use purple shampoo on DRY hair and leave it for 30 mins.

I've done that often, works but my hair felt dry. This method (w 1/4 teaspoon Ultra Violet) mixed with conditioner works and feels soft

WARNING WARNIN THIS WILL TURN YOUR HAIR PURPLE you can not mix hair dye and conditioner that's for colouring your hair I suggest buying a toner or inventing in one :)
