My best air layer successes was beginning them in mid May and having huge root balls to remove and pot-up by Sep. 1. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I wrap the outside with aluminum foil to keep the sun off the plastic to reduce the chance of the moss drying out. That callous looks promising though.
Yeah I think if it was started earlier it would've done better for sure. I know a lot of people use foil, I might try that one day as well. Thanks for watching!
