- There has been debate in the chat of my music theory live stream lessons about “music theory”. People often wonder what it is and why they need to learn it. Plus, are confused by different systems of music theory. My goal in this video is to explain is simple terms what music theory is and what it is not. As well as explain how music theory is a tool to effectively understand other’s music communication as well as communicate to others your musical thoughts.

You are a very good teacher :) Short question, if I had to move my valve amp with a van should I take out the valves before driving?
Good question. Here is my answer… no, but maybe. Some amps have springs that hold tubes in place and even have the tubes covered by some sort of grill. In this case I say no. However. Some amps have nothing keeping the tubes in place or something like a mic stand can easily hit a tube. In that case, remove them or secure them. I have only had a tube break once because of putting it in a vehicle. Also, distance of trip matters.
