Blue Slough meets Preachers Slough in Washington State

Within the Lower Chehalis River Surge Plain Natural Area Preserve the intersection of Blue Slough & Preachers Slough is critical if a loop trip is to succeed. It looks narrow on Google maps. Entering from Blue Slough here is that spot at a 7.9' tide first looking SE and turning NE towards the Chehalis River in Washington State, USA.

I have too and have been kayaking for ten years but hadn't really studied this area until recently. Besides spotting the launch under the bridge south of Montesano, there's a brief place to see Friends Landing across the river 4 miles south. I went back again and will be posting. Don't think it will ever get too crowded deep inside due to many fallen trees. Fishing potential.

@@allanfritz3050 sounds like a peaceful place to cruise around in a kayak or small boat .... I used to fish until I started catching more fishing gear than I did fish ...

@@allanfritz3050 if you ever go the back way towards Astoria there are dozens of different sloughs you drive over or by you should check that place out it's pretty out there barely any house's also ...

@@allanfritz3050 You should check naselle river area there are a handful of different sloughs down that way and very rural , super cool I've drove by several different times and I think it's a beautiful place ... never had the time or chance to stop and explore more ....
