Used to listen to this album a lot, walking to and from class. A small city in South Africa called Polokwane, set the backdrop for the music playing in my earphones. I was dealing with a lot of depression I think. Forever a classic in my books.
It doesnt matter if the chords are complicated or easy, who the people are collaborating with, how long the people would last, nothing matters except for how beautiful the music is, how the guitar, piano, and vocals make you feel, and how this song puts you in a peaceful and serene process of thought. this is music, its meant to inspire, and to move you, to make you close your eyes and envision your past and present and build to a better future. it may be simple but its simply beautiful

This is quite simple but beautiful. Norah Jones can put her voice to anything from blues to rock to country to something acoustic like this one and it sounds so classy.

Get their album Rome, and you will hear all the other parts. These are songwriters performing their art in bare bones. C'mon guys who hate. I interpret the songs meaning to be about a relationship, one person in that relationship is feeling that her dream relationship will never be, she reals the reality, neglected because she feels not enough time is being spent on her by her significant other. Her significant other then tries to explain to her and rationalize can they be free together without the burden of life making them a slave.... Keeping them both in love like the seasons and the trees, changing but staying the same.

Danger mouse is also a highly successful producer and DOES have musical talent; being able to play instruments may seen importan but feel is the key to good music and hes got it. My dads also a composer and producer and he doesn't seem to think that they're bad. Just type in 'gnarls barkley' or 'danger doom' and loads of great music will come up, all with contributions by Brian Burton.
