    Kobe with 27 pts clutch & Lebron with 28 pts & 9 ast
    The Kobe-LeBron matchup didn't quite go as hyped, with neither at the top of his game. But Kobe Bryant put on a show in the final 90 seconds despite a sore right wrist. Bryant scored his team's last six points on three long jumpers including the go-ahead shot with 8.6 seconds left, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-98 Thursday night.

      Ninja Channel He was more of a student of the game back then. He was a champion before the NBA so he definitely knew how to lead and how to win but he didn't really carve his own path until he matured. You can see with his pregame antics and his carefree attitude on the Cavs and how he was like a stone cold killer in Miami (not angry, cocky, or confused like his first season with Wade). With Lebron coming back to the Cavs, he basically was a player coach with Blatt. Firing him was the best thing they did. I literally have been calling him Coach Lebron for the past two years.

      sonofaballer96 Yep. Now that he's won one in Cleveland, we'll get to see a LeBron that has absolutely nothing to prove. I suspect his scoring will start to go down as he lets Kyrie take over games and his assist numbers will be back where they were the last time he was in Cleveland.

    So to see LeBron call for a screen or pass the ball the high majority of the time Kobe is guarding him speaks levels on how much Kobe is/was respected in the league on both sides of the floor.

    Throughout their regular-season matchups, it was always fun to watch, but just imagine if they would've met each other in the Finals... that would've been something special! These highlights showed me more than anything that it didn't matter how much Kobe was struggling in this game or in any other to find his scoring touch... he always found a way to rise to the occasion when the Lakers needed him the most and, as an opponent, you may think it's not his night but when the game is on the line, that's when he was most dangerous. On that note, one other thing that crossed my mind was how Kobe's constant injuries plagued him later in his career... LBJ's physique is unlike any other and his longevity is unreal and that's something that, unfortunately, didn't benefit Kobe but his grit, tenacity willed his body to endure 20 years of blood, sweat, & tears.

Kobe played 79 + games throughout his career in a way more competitive division so he went much harder to win. Crazy to compare both players at this stage to their current stages. Kobe, at that point, was so dominant as far as skill/athleticism that he could impose his will on the court whenever he chose. Literally could score as soon as he crossed the midline. Now, at age 36, that "juice" in his legs are gone yet he's still so skilled that he can still be dominant on those rare nights on the offensive end.
    Lebron, on the other hand, still was not in his prime physically at this point yet you can still see he was the most superior athlete on the floor. I feel as though Lebron's pace has improved so much as he's gotten older. Looks as though the game has slowed down for him.

Kobe Bryant has made a hell of mark on the the game of professional 🏀😁 ! He's a legend, LeBron has yet to complete or accomplish what Kobe has when LeBron is done then we can have an educated debate on the topic or not maybe you'll finally see there was no debating necessary. @lindathomas7803 Před 4 lety +1

      @tony tonyt ...I mentioned hardware because that's the initial goal , of course stats matter , it's combination of both ! You mentioned "team goals " in reference to championships , but somehow you guys never speak on Lebron's teammates when your praising your so called KING , but somehow you always throw Shaq in on Kobe's behave ! I do believe Kobe AND the Lakers win a championship without Shaq ! Your correct Robert Horry did win more championships than Kobe , but Horry was not the topic of discussion cause Bill Russell has more rings than fingers but neither one are ever in the discussion of GOAT am I right ? Lol 😂! And get your grades in order because I'm a fan of football and basketball and I want to see you on television playing someday ! Real Talk ! What position do you play ? I would like to have the same debate about you someday so GET IT TOGETHER YOUNG MAN 💯 ! Miracles and Blessings !

      @tony tonyt I never said stats don't matter , stats aren't the ONLY thing that matters , you need BOTH and Kobe has great stats also you just conventiy leave them out , just because records are broken doesn't mean they don't exist ! LeBron would probably be the first one to tell you Kobe Bryant was NEVER anyone's sidekick ! All of Kobe's accomplishments in 20 seasons came from the same organization ! Not calling LeBron a sidekick at all , but his championships comes by way of (2) different organizations so that tells me that he had to have HELP from somewhere even though you can't see it ! As for as teammates of his LeBron has played with some hall of famers such as : D Wade , Chris Bosh , Shaq , Kyrie etc. all with great stats in the books ! I've been a fan for 44 years and I can remember when stats weren't the biggest topic of conversation ! There are people that aren't Kobe fans that give the acknowledgement and respect he's due because he earned it !

    • @lindathomas7803
      @lindathomas7803 Před 4 lety

      @tony tonyt .. First of the Lakers won with Gasol no Shaq ! Shaq also played in the east . Lebron fans like yourself only come Kobe because deep down inside you know he's better ! And had a tremendous basketball IQ and he's highly educated so he's a different kind of beast ! Kobe had that killer instinct you know that dagger in your heart mentality bruh that only one other had and that was Michael Jordan and Jordan has said the same thing about Kobe ! No matter which one we speak of Kobe or LeBron there's always (4) other players on that wood , and each time one touched that rock they've assisted one or the other Real Talk ! Y'all have these one-sided discussions about players but u. order to have a debate on the topic both sides should have ALL of their accomplishments brought to the table . I'm a Laker fan of 44yrs. and that was way before Kobe , so just like Kobe I want to see the Lakers win and that means LeBron as long as he's a part of the organization . In order to be a "TRUE FAN" you have to be a Ride or Die whether they win or lose bruh ! Most of you LeBron fans or just that " LeBron Fans " I say that because most all of Cleveland fans are from Cleveland , and he's played in Miami and now L. A . so I don't switch out cause I'm a real Ryda for mine ! I'm a Kobe Bryant fan BECAUSE he's a Laker forever like Magic ! P S. here's one for your stat book Kobe 20 seasons same sqad 5 rings yeah I said 5 RINGS !! LOL 😂 😂!

    • @lindathomas7803
      @lindathomas7803 Před 4 lety

      @tony tonyt ... First I'm not a dude I'm a lady that has 40yrs + as a fan of the game ! Secondly The Lakers Don't have the most titles child as you call it , it's The Celtics ! Thirdly why should I or anyone for that matter only consider your stats point of view when yoyr shooting down a vital part of the topic and that's the championships that has to be factored in also along with your stats. I never mentioned Kevin Love once , but Wade , Bosh , Allen , had won chapionshios before LeBron arrived in Miami FACT ! One thing about us Kobe fans is we don't have to tear LeBron down to build a case for Kobe , his legacy speaks for itself and that's a fact !

      No he can't. 😂.. if he can make any player better, why is it that you guys (LeBron supporters) say he never has enough help & then blame his teammates whenever he loses. You ppl literally say he didn't have any help in Cleveland 😂 you can't have it both ways. Does he make his teammates better or is it always their fault when LeBron loses?

    LeBron calls out players but Wade was putting up MVP stats. Playing against the Mavs in the 2011 finals. Bosh did his part LeBron didn't do a damn thing 17ppg missing in the fourth. LeBron w don't know how to play being second option. He hates playing off the ball. He have to be 1st option and primary ball handler. No way LeBron would have put up big numbers like Kobe did. Playing 2nd option and off the ball with a prime Shaq.
