Definitely not the first to wear one (Alice Cooper and Steve Perry come to mind) and won't be the last...But, I gotta say, nobody makes one look as cool as Slash. Legendary "axe-man" as well, who takes a backseat to nobody (lol...lower the hackles axe fans...I do my best to stay the hell away from any of the "who's best" type of stuff when it comes to music. All such does is cause me to lose sleep, and second-guess myself for days).

Axl Rose was my first love, and ofcourse my first heartbreak! LOL I wasn't allowed to have posters on the wall, (apparently they mess upp the wallpaper..... hrmmpff!) but the insides of my closets were FULL of posters, little pictures from magazines etc. I thought he was the most beautiful human being ever created! LOL

for real tho. this is me and my mom's song. she raised me on music.. i didn't care want genre and neither did she. when i was 15, i bought an electric guitar and practiced and played this song for her birthday.
My first big concert was Guns N Roses in 1988 on this tour. The energy they had live was infectious! It's So Easy was always a favorite of mine off that first record.

Slash with his les Paul ( yes people I know it really was a les Paul copy) when everyone one was playing super strats. Axl's voice was just amazing. Greatest album ever made

That's Slash and that's his style, his trademark hat and hair covering his face and no one else dared try to be like that. He had this look and it was his and his alone. No one else could do it cause they'd of been called out for trying to copy him. So when you see the hat and the hair you know who it is!
after Slash got his pacemaker he was told by the doctors that he shouldn´t get up on stage on their next play due to risk of heart failure, but he didn´t want to let the fans down, instead they had a doctor ready in worst case scenario during the play
his heart got better but he still has the pacemaker but it isn´t active, he just never cared bout renewing or removing it :)
Finally got to see them in concert with their comeback tour in 2016. It was amazing!! Slash was my first husband in 1987!! Lol
