Nice video and easy to follow. Since the focusing distance is so close, what is your thought of using this lens to take pictures of food. I don't mean macro as in one to one but more of taking a plate of food such as that plate of pasta for example. I cruise a lot and tend to take lots of pictures of food on a cruise so that's why I'm asking about using this lens to take pictures of food aside from the landscape capability.
The downside of 13 is bigger, heavier...and focus breathing(11 can go to the object much closer like macro) and AF (the 11 slightly better and quieter) . But 13 are cheaper, better at low light, better bokeh, no distortion even at corner unlike 11).
Thanks Keith, just purchased this glass from Best Buy. Why can I see the circular edge of the lens, do I have setting wrong? There is a round black mask circle around every image. The lens can see the edges and limits view.
A6700+11+35+50mm is amazing traveler combo. Zoom is not needed. 11mm is perfect, but my best lens is 35mm, everyone has their own style of photography. A good 20/1.8 lens would please me.
Hi there, Thanks for great video and information you have provided us as usual, I bought this lens (brand new) and when I use it on Sony ZV E10 it keeps focus changing from my face and background (I use ND filter and lowest aperture), it happens even when I use it with zhiyun crane 3 and sit down on a chair in park , is it something wrong with the lens or with my camera settings you think? Thanks for your help in advance 🙏
I have not used this lens on the ZVE10 specifically, but this sounds like a focus settings problem. Try to adjust your autofocus subject settings (you probably want this on person eye detect to avoid jumping to the background), and your subject shift sensitivity. If you're af is jumping to people in the background, that means your af subject shift sens is too high. Lowering it should help you remain in focus
Hi, what ND filter size are you using on this lens? I need to go for VND but I'm not sure if I should go with 55mm(size of the lens) or higher like 67mm/82mm. Which one is going to cause vignetting?
I hope viltrox release a pro lens of about this length it would complete the trio :O like come on viltrox 11mm or 12mm f/1.4 with fucking good weather sealing all metal huge chunky glass no aberration do itttt I dare you
What do you guys think of the 11mm wide angle prime? Check it out here!: geni.us/mXSg

Very useful video my friend! great job!
For northern lights alone, is this 11mm F1.8 recommended? Or is 15mm F1.4 G still the best?
Is this lens any good for real estate (interiors) video with FX30? If not, then which lens?
what would be the nd filter size for this 11mm
55mm ND filter
@@edventures9884 What will cause more vignetting? 55mm or 67/82mm with stepup rings? Talking VND here.
this is really very cool thank you for reviewing this lens Thank you I’m buying it
Would like to see this in a street photography test
What do you think about barrel distortion?
Thanks for answering question about the astrophotography

What’s your opinion about Viltrox 13mm f1.4 over the Sony 11mm f1.8?

Are you using this lens on a full frame camera?
They could have made it bit more expensive and still add the OSS.
Not that the old 10-18mm f.4 OSS was any cheaper.

A6600+11+20+55-210 for me cause zoom is needed. But I take that 20 1.8 with great pleasure
Thanks dude love your content
which nd filter is working with the 11mm without vignetting?
Did you figure it out? I've been searching for this for days. Can't nail it down.
@@aman.2912 K&F Concept Nano-X Variable ND Filter 55mm Slim ND8-128 works perfect!
Is this okay for indoor events?
If you're looking for a wide-angle prime this would be a good option. Tough to fully recommend without knowing more of what you'd like to shoot though
Just bought this today for my a6700
Congrats on the new camera!
It is a better lens than zeiss touit 12 mm?
Are you stating that or asking? 🤔
Fantastic and underrated video.
Thanks for the kind words and support!

Could you try with manual focus or tap to focus on your eyes

Actually inspiring
How does it compare to rokinon 12mm?
Unfortunately I dont have that to compare
Old tech vs new. Crushes it

Like I want this lens but not so tinny and plasticy
I think you over edited your audio. It doesn’t match right with the video
