My dad's van is still alive. Thanks for taking care of it ... I am in tears right now seeing that license plate number verified it for me
I thank you... for this video... it's like a piece of my dad is still alive. I showed my mom and she was beside herself.. it's awesome to know someone is taking care of it just as good as my dad did... I can't stop watching this .. I'm going to show this video to all my family... to show them... it's still running...
That definitely is the original plate... amen
This is awesome... I haven't seen that in decades...
My mom bought that van for my dad on Father's day 1977. I was 5 yrs old
All our vacations were in that van...
My dad was the original owner... It would be a blessing to contact you... that van was a father's day gift to my dad from my mom... I was 5 years old when we went to go get it in 1977
That's amazing
The carpet behind the drivers seat should have two indentions about a foot apart and 3 inches wide each like tire marks. There's also a circle on the carpet where we kept the spare tire. The spare tire was actually kept inside
I love it. Perfect beautifull specimen.
My dad used the cologne HAI KARATE to sprinkle in the back to give it a better scent
The vent on top was re-done in 87.. because it kept leaking when it rained and the original vent on top cracked... so my dad used a better adhesive
Wayne your van its incredible and beautiful i salute from Argentina
The rear door button is a little tough to push in... the inner door locks were changed so no one would be able to pick the locks with a hanger. There's a two foot Grove behind the driver's car seat against the paneling on the floor where my father kept a stick just incase a bad guy wanted to be a bad guy
the name reminds me of the Don Imus character "Geraldo Santana Banana"
If I remember there is a small little tear in the panel about 2 inches
It was a really nice van. I enjoyed all the wonderful times and trips in it. You"ve done well with J.R./ my van.😊👍
Are you the original owner?
The wings get a little flakey in the summer
The arm rests , you have to raise them and hook it like... one of them keeps de-hooking
The original vent wad white.. but it got wearhered...
i also have a santana industries van. there is very little information on this company and i have never seen the same exact van as mine, mine is a 1976 chevyvan g30.
Hey 👋 now I have a ‘78 g20 from Santana industries. Mine appears to be precisely 4000 plan builds after this one what plan number is yours, I’d love to see it, mine has original interior (redwood) my CZcams channel: thomas eagle mckeever, shows her
Nice ride.
Sweet Van Man to 😁👍
Nice van. I like the name, too.
Cool van
Same color as my 74 very nice
My dad was.the original owner
Hermosísima... Me enamoré!
It didn't have a spare tire rack initially
It turned over twice
The lights keep popping out in the back
That was my dad's van
My dad used nothing but PENZOIL
Steelers rock
I got a ‘76 “pop up “ camper does anyone know of a site for them or a club to contact? Made by Santana help thanks
It would be cool to contact you to let you know how my dad took care of it.. he always drove the speed limit he never sped ...my mom called my dad a turtle cuz he drove so slow..
I keep looking at newer Van's to customize but they just don't have the same lines or form the older vans do . And the older Van's are getting harder to find. They are like riding around in your own play house.
Good looking van I have a 1976 Santana industries Inc chevy van 20 is there any way to look up original build sheet/specs from the Santana tag? Any information would be awesome thanks in advance
👍👍from this guy
Hi El Lee Oh, I have a 78 Santana- looking for the same sort of info!
good luck finding information on Santana Industries. i have a 1976 Chevyvan g30 and i have never been able to find any information or any pictures anywhere of the same exact van.
You can't put cheap gas in it or it won't turn off right away... it'll stay on a while....
It's not an eagle it's an albatross
The side mirrors are not original. It had smaller side view mirrors and my dad added those larger mirrors they should fold in...
4th to comment nice until I saw the Pittsburgh Steeler floor mats I hate the Steel Curtain
😂
