Stu Fuchs is a lifelong musician, award-winning ukulele artist and teacher of mindfulness through creative play. He has performed gypsy jazz guitar with symphony orchestras and facilitated holistic music clinics worldwide. Stu was artist-in-residence at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo NY and was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for his work bringing healing music to cancer patients and their families. He recorded and toured worldwide with renowned sacred chant artist Snatam Kaur, performing guitar on the Grammy nominated Best New Age album “Beloved”. A long-time practitioner of yoga and meditation, his focus is to teach people from all backgrounds to develop a music practice for joy, freedom, and self expression.

I'm new to ukulele and I've been all over CZcams looking for tutorials. I love the ones you offer! Bc I love jazz, blues and reggae, and the other CZcams tutorials have a lot of folksy songs and pop songs. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not for me. This is definitely for me. Thank you! I've been coming back to this song quite a bit, along with the other related addiitonal content! Not only do I like this song, but it has really helped me to change chords faster and hone the strumming patterns. I feel like I've really made good progress after a month. Of course, one way to change it up is actually to slow down! (I'm more familiar with the Ray Charles cover, so that's why I bring that up)
Sometime could you make tutorials for some of your own songs, for example "Little Jumping Flea?" I really like that song!

When you're in the bridge, I can almost hear "I Saw Her Standing There."
Whenever I listen now, though, I mentally start the song with you saying, as if after the tutorial part, "Ok let's jam!"

Great song. Great teaching tempo. Great content...but (😄) I`d love a playalong to practice along. Your arrangement of this song is not out of reach technically, and it is a great workout technically and musically. Whether I can sing it, is an entirely different question.

Why does does he always choose a key thats to high for him to sing in ?
I guess I like a challenge 😉 sometimes I have to choose the key based on ease of ukulele chords, knowing that if I make the cording to difficult with that different key, many players won’t be able to follow along… Always OK to go to falsetto voice, of course 😃🤙🎶
