THEY HAVE 3 VERSIONS, HOW DO THEY DIFFER?
HE NEVER ANSWERS QUESTIONS /
what hepa filters does this use? i have searched extensively and am not sure
I don't need a vacuum at all. I just keep watching your videos because they are phenomenal and well done reviews. I look forward to these videos more than any other content creator.
I appreciate you doing these mid budget range vacuums. It hits where the average person might go "luxury" for them. My first vacuum was a Kenmoore as Sears was hard to beat way back then for warranty and quality. I was also the very first Coloradian to purchase the Dyson, having a cleaning business and was a watch dog for new technology in that dept. I'll never forget the crazy love I had for Dyson back then. Now... the market is full of great alternatives that beat bag or canister vacuums of old. My parents had the heavy Kirby, so I grew up with hefty arm muscles just from vacuuming our house. Is it just me or doesn't everyone feel like a well vacuumed house can feel 90% clean? Thanks again VW, your standards are bar none! Smiles and blessings...
I bought it. And itâs a great vacuum. Suction is powerful and itâs lightweight. Killer combination for a great vacuum đđœ
Still running good ?
@@Dontslaythybroski yup. itâs really a great product.
ANY ISSUES?
BETTER THAN SHARK AT SIMILAR PRICE?
@@BOOSTEDLASER almost a year later & itâs still sucking and vacuuming strong.
Just purchased this for my one bedroom with carpet and I can attest to these results. For its price you are indeed getting a ton of value here. Trust this review in its entirety!
ANY ISSUES? MAD U DIDNT GET A SHARK?
Just wanted to say you're awesome! I watch you videos for the heck of it, and to get an insight of a future purchase. Thank you for all the information!
Thank you so much!
thank you for actually testing the vacuums and not wasting time!
You're very welcome!
Thank you so much for the review. I greatly appreciate it a lot.
Ordered this on Amazon because of this video+your best ranked 2024 vid. It's FANTASTIC, left my carpet Super clean, and opening it up to dump the debris is easy as pie. You can also unclog the debris area really easily, the extension tools they come with are great too. It comes with 2 washable filters underneath the debris bin.
As a bonus- not sure if this was amazon or Kenmore itself- but it arrived REALLY fast, like next day/day after next. Carpets have never been cleaner, and at half the price of other Nice Upright Vacuums.
Heroes come in many shapes and forms.. Vacuum-guy who runs this channel is definitely one of them!
Why thank you very much!
Got this vacuum August 2023. Run it for about 2 hours so far and it works really well. The amount of fur, hair, dust, etc that it picked up after vacuuming with my older vacuum was remarkable. Really enjoying this vacuum, highly recommend. Will report back on durability.
Im omw to amazon now lol
UPDATE?
@@BOOSTEDLASER thanks for the reminder. I still love the vacuum. Highly recommend. The swivel action is so nice and the section is still so good! If you can get it on sale its even better. I upgraded from a $70 black and decker basic vacuum so this Kenmore feels like luxury. I like how light it is yet it seems durable which is cool.

An upright that may have finally beat a Shark in the same price-point...? I am very impressed! Awesome video like always
I mean, you can get a shark upright duoclean for $199 at Costco when on sale, sometimes even less. It includes the anti-hair tangle as well which is so much better than this kenmore and the old style navigator.
The eagle-eyed have noticed that this Kenmore looks very very similar to Shark. Cleva North America licenses the Kenmore name for vacuums. They manufacture some of their own vacuums under the Vacmaster name. Recently they have been using King Clean, the same Chinese manufacturer Shark uses to make the current Kenmore Intuition and the smaller bagless uprights like the DU2012 and this DU4080. Panasonic used to make Kenmore vacuums and Cleva bought those designs and still makes them as the Kenmore Elite upright and most of the Kenmore canister vacuums.
I subscribed only because of how well you do in your reviews. Very well put together! Thanks!
Thanks for the sub!
I love you Jeremy erdman
Love the videos; for some reason it is quite satisfying to watch all of your videos. I know you have reviewed multiple Shark Navigator vacuums in the past. I currently am using the Shark Navigator Swivel Pro NV150. My family used to be getting vacuums on the regular as we could not really find an affordable vacuum that did the trick. So far this Shark that we have been using is doing good. I believe we have had this vacuum for about 4 or 5 years now and it still gets the job done. Not to mention it is very affordable at its price of around $150 and is usually on sale for $130 ish. Pretty lightweight and the swivel is very maneuverable when going around objects.
Glad you are happy with that Navigator! We've been happy with it too.
I just ordered this vacuum ahhhh can't wait. I love vacuuming â€
That is great! We hope you enjoy it!
Hi! Thanks for the great video! I was wondering if the wheels on the bottom get tangled with hair.
If so, is the bottom tray area able to be removed easily to untangle any hair accumulation mess?
This looks perfect for me.
Others have commented about this - it will be nice to see some scores/analysis of serviceability. For example, how available and accessible are common service items like drive belts and filters?
So after a year of use, how do you feel it's held up?
Can you make the best steam cleaning machine video for the bidet, your product reviews are great
Looks like a vacuum, great đđđ
I love the reviews and the tests you put these vacuums through. I have made several purchases based on these reviews. Couple comments, for your lists of vacuums, it would be nice if you broke them down for carpet and hardwood. it would be nice to see a "best budget vacuum for primarily carpets" also, if you had a test for carpeted stairs, that would be great too as now I'm on the market for one of those. most vacuums don't have a motorized head so feel they aren't as good or the head is too big to do stairs at all. Thanks for the great content!
We can't make any promises but thank you for the suggestion! Noted and thanks so much!

I love your reviews! I'm thinking in getting an tineco pure (Europe). But we have here the S12 and even the s15 versions. Will you test them soon? I'm upgrading from my beloved Dyson dc33c (ball version). Thanks in advance and wish you a nice December!

this is a classic shark lift away in 2015/2016 just before the duo range
was a thing its just bin rebadged I love the color of it thoughđâ€đ
One question does thw color matter when order on Amazon or Walmart? Do they all come with the same attachments and same features and options??? Just wondering the difference in the 4 color options.
this looks like a vacuum iâve seen before hmmm
Almost like a brand thatâs called shark⊠also âlift upâ hmm sounds familiar.
Kenmore is just rebranded products from other manufacturers. Kenmore used to mostly be rebranded Panasonic vacuums. This is clearly a different model Shark than the Shark he tested.
Looks almost like a shark
Yup not getting that passed me I have seen many vacuums in my day
Imitation is the best form of flattery đ€Ł
They know the shark like design is a pretty good foundation for a good vacuum. I have had the Navigator lift away (compared in this video) for almost 4 years, I am honestly tempted to get one of these as an upgrade due to the hard floor pickup design
Hi VW,
Love your content and your passion about what you doing.
Question& I see the same name as this vacuum cleaner you reviewing here "feather light lift up" but I seen an added future of hair eliminator brush to it. they claim it's will loosen the hair all its own without the need for scissors. That sound good , but I'm worried there's other differences between the two vacuums other than that. As I really like what you said about this vacuum up in the video. so if the hair brush eliminator is just the add-on to the exact feather light you just reviewed, with no changes or issues other than the hair eliminator, then that will be just perfect, and exactly what I'm looking for.
I hope you really take a minute and just let me know, as I'm literally on Amazon right now trying to get one of the two, all I need is to figure out which one is better between the two feather light kenmore's. any help would really be appreciated. thank you

Whats the difference betwen the 4080 and 1040? I'm seeing both show up under the same amazon listing. Does the 1040 not have a hepa filter? Is that the only difference?
Neat and nice new studio
Thanks!
@@VacuumWars I never owned a Kenmore I just own BISSELL, Shark, Hoover and a Dyson DC15 and I buy vacs at thrift stores and Walmart
For strictly carpeting, with 4 flights of carpeted stairs as well, which would you recommend, the Featherlite or the DU2015? I have no pets either.
Does this orange kenmore budget vacuum have better suction than the lavender budget shark tho?
Are any of these vacuums allergy and asthma certified? As in sealed without spewing fine dust, with certified hepa filter. If is is sealed is it certified.
Please test the DU4399. It is a Featherlite with Hair Eliminator.
What about the Kenmore DU4399
Is that the same but better because of its anti haur clog technology?
Dont know which one to pull the trigger on
What about replacement foam filters? I tried to find online with not much luck.
I'm concerned that would be able to find or the cost will be too much.
Perhaps Shark filters would fit. Most concerned about pre and final motor filters.
Any chance you tested this with kitty litter? I imagine the larger front gates would make this easier but figured I should double-check. Thank you in advanced!
My main dilemma cat litter
Just bought this based on your recommendation. Iâll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Can I suggest another potential segment is how easy it is to take apart. Like I had to buy security bolts to be able to take apart my shark for a deep clean.
We can't promise anything but thank you for the suggestion. Noted!
Seems to be alright, I just wish it had a cyclone, for me if I am gonna daily a bagless vacuum it would be a Fantom Thunder despite the lack of parts, at least the Fantoms last.
Eagerly waiting for your Dyson gen 5 review!

This reminds me of the Navigator Zero-m almost exactly
Can I replace the brushroller is basically all that matters to me now.
Thanks for reviewing this one. It looks very short and small, Could you please tell me what the height is? I'm buying online and I can't find the height of this Kenmore anywhere. I'm trying decide between the Navigator and Kenmore. The Navigator is 45.5 inch tall and if the Kenmore height is the same or close, I will probably buy it. Please let me know. Thanks again!
Found one in the garbage someone was throwing away for some reason. It looked brand new except there was some dirt stuck in the brush roll, but I was able to remove it. People throw away really good things. But I wonât speak too much till I try it in a few moments. I am having g a hard time removing the top of the dust bin though.
Does it go under couches?
It looks awesome
Would you recommend it for expensive vinyl plank flooring or no? Thanks.
We recommend that those who are concerned about specialty flooring needs should check with the flooring manufacturer.
Have you ever done a video on all the vacuums you keep at your house? I know the Shark navigator is one âŠ
Would this work for an elderly person? Is it easy to push?
Where to buy in Europe with 220V?

Can you do a carpet deep clean test with the Kirby Avalir 2?
He sold the Avalir soon after the review a few years ago. I would suspect it would be a perfect 100 though. The agitation and airflow are unmatched. Only the $1600 Riccar would come close
Kenmore contracted Shark for this vacuum?
Can you test the quantum x vacuum? Also I love your videos â€

This man must have the world's cleanest floors at his house
I watched your vid. One thing is that in the review sections people talk about how they tear up within a year b/c some parts are very poorly made (the tubing) so it loses all suction.
From what I've read, these are basically Shark clones and made in the same factory. Many long-term reviews for Sharks also complain about them being poorly designed and cheaply made, basically meant to be disposable with a crappy warranty. They seem awesome at first until you do more digging and find that many people who know vacuums consider them to be bottom of the barrel, along with Dyson.
ah looks like ill be buying the shark navigator then
Any chance you could review a Rainbow vacuum? My aunt had one back in the 80's and the water filtration always fascinated me, and just wondering if they're worth their weight (and price) in the 2020's.
They're pretty pricey and hard to find, but I'm very curious too.

I'm curious because you said you're going to keep it at home. Although I understand that this vacuum is a very good budget option got a lot of families. For someone like you who has all these vacuums and is so invested in vacuums. Why wouldn't you use the most expensive premium options? As someone like you I'm sure would appreciate those premium features much more and understand their value
Be said it may be the easiest vacuum to use, so that might be why he'd like to use
Keep the high ends in good shape for testing and maybe sells em off
put a battery there and reduce the bin size, you get a better vacuum than any cordless out there.
I have a feeling kemore went and said. "Hmmm Shark Navigator Lift Away... lets copy it and then fix whats missing". I wonder where the inspiration came from 0__0 but its still a great vacuum
that's exactly all it is
is this good for pet hair ?
Seems like a canister alternative to the Intuition. I bought the Intuition last week and have been loving it. Although it's interesting to see the canister version, I think I've been ultimately convinced bagged is the way to go for keeping up with husky dander and fur. Not sure of the viability of the deal of this canister version vs the bagged Intuition.
*viability of the seal
Bagged is always the way to go. People who buy bagless are simply victims of marketing. Better on every level.
As far as you can tell, are they the same besides that? The only problem I have with this one is that it's bagless. Well, that and the hair wrapping, but I suppose the perfect vacuum doesn't exist.
Bagged for the win đ«Ą
@@phoebecordeliazajac they look to be the exact same, save for the bag/canister component. Hair wrapping isn't a problem for me since I don't have long hair in the house, just a lot of hair. The Intuition was money well spent if you're looking at them to buy.

Yay new video am I 1st?

Can you use this for wet and dry cleaning?
It's not designed for that.
As soon as i saw the brush heads i said to myself nope.. I have a shark navigator, and I am consistently having to cut the hair out of the brush. If you donât have dogs then fine. But as someone who has two shedders, these type of brush rolls are an absolute nightmare! That is the reason they also took it off of the robot vacuums.
I wouldn't use that with the brushroll activated on bare floors, because it can scratch them. Also, I take filtration claims on most vacuums you find at big box retail stores with a hefty amount of salt, even more expensive ones, and especially bagless ones, because it's pretty hard to tell if they're lying or not. Even with the fog machine test that you do, the fog is only 0.5 microns (correct me if I'm wrong), so it doesn't prove if a vacuum can filter particles smaller than that. Also, with bagless vacuums, if you empty the bin inside you house, you're releasing all of the dust that you sucked up back into the air, so the only real solution is to empty them outside. That's why I don't like most department store vacuums.
Interesting input. thanks!
Unless your floors are really delicate, it should not scratch them. They are definitely not lying about exhaust filtration claims, either. They would not open themselves up to the potential legal issues with making a directly false claim. I know some units in the past that did not have actual sealed exhaust filtration would claim things like "HEPA filter" and what not in advertising to work around making any direct claim of a sealed system, therefore protecting themselves when their machines lacked properly sealed systems. Kenmore was huge on doing this back in the Panasonic days, but their units are sealed now.
I donât agree with the filter claims. Their registered as HEPA which means they must pass specific testing in order to claim true HEPA filtration status, so itâs not really fair to say it isnât sealed. Longevity of the seal is a valid concern I guess but initially at least, HEPA claims do have to be backed up by actual science to be advertised as such.
I just returned a cordless Hoover and grabbed one of these. Cordless is a good idea but not practical for a big home
Can you please review the original shark rocket vacuum please

You can tell they designed this directly from the shark navigator. They said how can we make it better though.
Isnât this a rebranded shark with some features and switches changed around? Is kenmore owned by shark now?
Kenmore vacuums are now made by Cleva. Shark seems to be keeping their vacuum manufacturer a secret for some reason, but their parent company is JS Global. Both of which are Chinese manufacturers. i.e. they're all Chinese crap and more than likely come from the same exact factory. Brand names are meaningless nowadays.
The design does seem very familiar.
How much is 12 pounds in normal?
Why did they name it the featherlite that was a dirtdevil model

Looks like the Vertex and the Stratos is the way to go for the $$$.
Summary of my comment: THIS IS JUST THE SHARK NAVIGATOR UNDER A DIFFERENT BRAND!!!
Yes... this is a really nice vacuum, Annnnnnd the Shark Navigator is a really nice vacuum.
There are literally so many similarities with these two vacuums. The most obvious one is the lift-away feature but there is also the same single cyclone and dustbin technology, the same placement of the pre- and post-motor filters, the same placement of the brushroll shut-off switch, the same wand/hose design, and finally, the same overall design.
For all the people that love this vacuum I want to say I also love this vacuum, but come on Kenmore you can do better than that.
Lighter and easier to use, better at large item pickup, and likely better durability than the Shark Navigator so I'd say they did do better.
Edit: the vacuum subreddit said it's actually not as well built as other Kenmore vacuums, and therefore only as good of quality as Shark. And this and shark both only have one ineffective cyclone which results in a lot of dirt getting sent to the filters.
THATS WHAT IM SAYING. They took a decade old design and added modern features. Shark did that but without headlights with the Zero m version which costs way more now
Any chance youâll doa giveaway? đ
Oh be still my Shark-loyal heart! *swoons* *faints*
I'm Not Going to lie Kenmore Keep making shark based vacuums
When I first got this vacuum I loved it! I liked it way better than my previous Shark lift off. It was lightweight, good suction, easy to maneuver. With that said, I purchased it 2/28/23 and by 2/20/24 it was broken. The motor gave out. We did use it A LOT because we have 3 kids and multiple pets, but hardly a year later and it's shot?! Budget friendly? Short term. But long term I'm still spending the same amount as I would've on a better vacuum since I'm having to replace it after only a year. Bummer.
Shark clearly makes these for Kenmore
It looks like it's made by the same manufacturer as Shark.
I bought it, it worked very well for 10 weeks until either the vacuum motor failed or the thermal cutout for the vacuum motor opened. Preceding this vacuums total failure was the repeated (about three times) clogging of the handle assembly that doubles as the vacuum motor intake. When this happened, you had to actually notice the change in tone of of the machine AND the loss of suction which takes some time. It's during this 'some time' period The failed vacuum motor system probably overheated conked out. due to the lack of air supply.
That design... seems very fishy. Its weird shark hasnât said something yet for potentially copying something because the design looks very similar to shark products, but at least it seems somewhat different enough and decent.
Lol I said the same thing
That's exactly what I said!
based on the amazon reviews with pictures, it seems like its slightly lower quality than the shark.
It really looks like a rebranded shark vacuum
So itâs a Kenmore designed/Shark manufactured vacuum. Thatâs Kenmoreâs M.O. for their products. Nothing wrong with that.
Please review shark duocleqn zu700c which is at same price as Kenmore and much better...I m sure you will replace Kenmore with this one
We can't promise anything but thank you for the suggestion. Noted!
