    Great video, very useful. One question: if i don’t use my lay z spa for a week, what would i do: turn the heater off obviously, but also turn off the pump? Or would that result in issues w the water? Thank you

      Thank you. My experience is that you need to check the chlorine levels regardless of pump being on or off. If they are just slightly higher than average, then doesn't matter if pump is off with one important factor.....the lid . If you have the lid on, then it saves the bits falling in. Lid off, then you need the pump on to filter the bits. Hope helps please do subscribe as helps me.

    I keep my heat settings on 30c keeps it Luke warm when I’m not using it then during the days we are using it turn it up to 35c which is a nice heat, it heats up around 1c an hour.

  • @mmckie10
    @mmckie10 Před 4 měsíci

    Will that keep cycling that same each time. So for example. If you set it on for 2 hours in 12 hours time. Will it then do the cycle again after it’s run for 2 hours or do you need to keep setting it?

  • @JJthrashing
    @JJthrashing Před 2 lety

    I have one of these it’s great spa for the money but disappointed there it hasn’t got 2 timers so you can cycle the heat and pump to keep it warm all the time.

    What would your advice be for winter usage outdoors in English temps.
    How long does it take to heat up if I were to use it most days?
    Let's day ita -0 outside and I fill it up. How long before it gets to 40°c roughly lol new to this and haven't a clue

      If it’s to cold the heater won’t start as it has to be a comfortable temperature in the first place

    Hi we’ve just got our Lazy Spa Hawaii. Once it’s reached the desired temperature then do you leave the heat and filter button on at all times? Kids want to go in it through day but don’t want it getting cold for them if we turn off the heater. We up and heated overnight (it hasn’t reached 38 degrees yet) do we just leave the heat button on all day? Or once it’s reached it’s desired temperature then do we turn off the heater? Help!

    • @ratemygadgets
      @ratemygadgets  Před 2 lety

      If you set the desired temperature then once it reaches that temperature, much in same way as a home thermostat, it keeps to that. As an example. If you set it to 32deg and the water is at 28degC. With the lid on if heater is set to then once it gets to 32degC the heater will turn off until it drops below that 32DegC. Reason i say "lid on" is personally, unless it is a heat wave then in the UK the heater being on with lid off will still naturally have a drop in temp. Hope helps. Do you have to leave the heating on at all time ? X

    • @ratemygadgets
      @ratemygadgets  Před 2 lety

      No. You can put a timer on BUT it depends how you use it. If you want it hot for when you are in it then obviously need to leave it on BUT if you want it hot in morning then, like me, you may time it to come on at a certain time. Hope helps. Does that cycle repeat every day once its set, or is this a daily routine?

    Hi,how do you set the temperature not the time for leaving it 24 hours please, I had this down to a tee,but just come back from hols so I haven't had to do it for a while,I had where I had the temperature desired eg,38 lowest 36, so when it dropped it would automatically rise to 38,then when it dropped it would go to 34 (-2 automatically hence why I set it to 36)...I did this with the arrows last night but for some reason it's gone to 40 ....🙄

    • @ratemygadgets
      @ratemygadgets  Před 3 lety

      The temperature is set at one level. In other words, you can't have it at 34deg for next 6 hours and then 40deg after that for 4 hours say. If understand and you want the heater to come on in 24hours for say 4hours then hit timer button and move the arrow to 4hours for the duration, then hit timer button again and move to 24hours for when to come on then hit timer again to set. Once this is set, the heater will come on in 24hours for 4hours. To set the temperature, once in this mode move the arrow for setting temperature. Problem is, in that 24hours the heater isn't on and therefore naturally will drop in temp. It means if ambient temp is low, then to get back up to a high temp (say 40degs) will take a while and may not even get there is 4hours if really low ambient temps. Hope answers question? Can it hold the temp at say 36 overnight then the timer kick in at 2 in the afternoon for 3/4 hours? If not, how would you know how much temp it would lose through the night and therefore how long to set the timer for?

    • @ratemygadgets
      @ratemygadgets  Před 3 lety

      Ideally, you are right. Having two timer settings would do this. Sadly, only way you can be sure is trial and test. Personally, I've found if 12hours and at high temp when pump stops (36 to 40) then it usually holds temp well IF ambient temp isn't below 15deg. Needing only a couple of hours to get back to temp. Are you able to set it for something like every 6 hours, it will come on and run for 2 hours? So it will run In a cycle threw out the day and run at 4 diffrent parts of the day?

    • @ratemygadgets
      @ratemygadgets  Před 3 lety

      Sadly not. It will only allow you to set timer for one off. Either by delaying start then have fixed time of heating OR an immediate start fixed time of heating. Hope makes sense? Please subscribe as really helps.

    Do you have to let te power on when the unit is programmed? Or does it come on itself?

  • @harderjohansen
    @harderjohansen Před 3 lety

    I under
    stand, that the timer is only 1 time and then you have to set it again. No possibilities to set it once and for all

    • @ratemygadgets
      @ratemygadgets  Před 3 lety +2

      The timer is a one off setting yes. You can't have a recurring setting that means every night it heats for a certain time. Hope helps. Please subscribe as really helps.
