- They've been nominated for a Grammy, so I guess you can't say Feufollet is
"new" or "un-discovered" -- except in the sense that "news" is something you haven't yet heard. So with all due respect to a talented group of musicians who have been together for 6, 7, 10? years -- "since they were in Middle School" - as one fan told me -- I'll add my review here as one who just heard for himself: Feufollet is one of the most adrenaline pumping bands I''ve heard since I happily tripped over the Avett Brothers a few years ago. Thanks to the folks in the Lafayette, LA, CVB I was privileged to hear this rockin' Cajun group at the wonderful bistro/hostel The Blue Moon in Lafayette, LA . If you can see them in this kind of hot-night, tightly packed small club setting, do it. It's a night spent with the needle at the red-line on the OMG-awesome meter. (Sorry about the electro-hiccups at the start of the video...Enjoy!)
As a Cajun/Creole born n raised in Omaha my grandma was Creole Grandad was Cajun .I'm now discovering the GREAT MUSIC OF MY HERITAGE CAN'T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY ITS MADE ME😁my grandparents were from abita springs.
As a grandson of French/ Canadian immigrants (Quebec&New Brunswick) it makes my heart happy to hear this music.

What, the girl has left the band? Noooo, her voice is priceless, it's a huge part of the reason why I love this band. I hope she comes back.
They definitely have much to offer with the current lineup. Kelli is a very different musician than Anna Laura, but an equally formidable songwriter. I've been greatly enjoying the new songs she's been playing in the band for the last couple years. Though, Anna Laura made a brief 3 song return this past December, which was nice to see.

@@sneff212 just 3 songs in a live set. But since then, there was a 2 show reunion of the En Couleurs lineup, and 20th anniversary show with past members. An EP, Going Fast has 1 newly released song with her. Just last month, the lineup in this video (except for the drummer) played French Quarter Fest. It's my understanding that they wanted to do more shows with that lineup, but that's no longer possible following the death of bandleader Chris Stafford last week.
@wombwell Thanks for taking a look - I happened to be there with a pocket Lumix and a mic on the camera...no lights, no sound board, no dolly, no SFX...I was delighted to record a bit of a great group and an audience responding appropriately...A studio piece would also be a fun idea...but it wasn't an option that mnigh....Love the one you're with, eh!
