If you trace it back - all these deeply disturbed chaos agents all come from exactly the same type of district - they have been gerrymandered to the point that they are a one- party district - so if there was ever a challenge for the seat it would come from a primary opponent. The way to expose these people for what they are is to ask deeper and deeper questions and let them try to justify their positions. The level of thought required to push their agenda to their supporters is far more shallow than the level of thought it takes to justify them. I think Leslie was being realistic. Lulling MTG into a false sense of security so MTG would let her guard down, and we'd see the "real" her. If Leslie had pushed back MTG would have gotten defensive and stormed out of the interview. This way we got to see just how disturbed MTG is.

I watched the 60 Minutes interview. US tv and radio interviewers need to learn how to conduct incisive and well-researched interviews. An interview is meant to be challenging and even confrontational at times. This example wouldn't even get a D in my old school's debating class at Year 8.
Public broadcasting out of European countries is more challenging.

It’s not that 60 Minutes interviewed Traitor Greene, it’s that she was left to speak with no push back. It’s one thing to let someone rant to expose their hypocrisy and hate of the country, but a journalist does have to ask the hard questions and push for the answers. It was good that she was interviewed and exposed her position, but it was extremely poorly handled by the interviewer. I haven’t watched our 60 Minutes here in Australia for probably 20 years because of this exact reason.
It's giving her wind, it's giving her yet another platform for her hate, that's why people are outraged. She already has enough of a voice and she keeps an audience this way.
