A cub motor is designed for wide open high revs. Definitely not for just cruising around you should get a 421 serval, that would suit your ride style from what I can see.
No matter what one i rode a 250r, Tecate, Lt250r, Quadzilla, Yfs200, Trailblazer, Trailboss Banshee and several bikes they all did them same things. Plain and simple it's a 2 stroke thing. It might be more pronounced with motor size and the type of porting but still well known cons of any 2 stroke. They don't have much torque so they don't lug well and are more of a workout to ride any tight terrain. I haven't seen many 2 smokers to start without blipping or cracked throttle either. These days no one buys one to not be in the PB or to lug and should expect it to start more finicky then the opposed 4 stroke. I bought my Banshee for the oh shit factor, mid to full throttle runs, the sound and the instant fear it strikes in most 4 Jokers minds. I most definitely didn't buy it to lug or ride on anything short n winding.

To me it sounds ritch. Drop a size on the main,or lower the needles a clip at a time to see if that helps. The pilot jet may need to go down 1 size also.
It doesn't sound right, theres something wrong with it and if your power band kicks in to late I would put stock pipes back on it but I'm pretty sure something is wrong with the motor or carbs.

These motors aren’t 4 strokes they don’t lug around. You have to really let it get high in the rpm. Try not to shift till each hear won’t let you go any faster.
Thats not true my husband had a full bolt on banshee that I learned to ride on that was my very first atv that I rode with a clutch and i could putt around on it all day and it never fouled plugs or anything thats how I rode it until I got used to it

I have a 421 Cub Serval and it is built exactly to the same specs as yours same pipes same crank same everything except mine is a Serval I run smaller domes for pump gas but I start making power I think it was between 3600 and 3800 rpm the Serval starts making power and a Cub doesn't start making power till like 6800 rpm my builder even told me he says in a drag race a serval making 80 horsepower can easily beat a cub making 90 horsepower in a drag race just because you start making power sooner yes you might not make quite as much peak horsepower but if you're barely able to drive the thing in anything except asphalt then what's the use of it unless you're drag racing more straight line stuff
Maybe if you're racing dynos in 5th gear I have races ported seals on racegas and still beat them ,under the curve a serval makes power faster yes but you don't race a cub in the wrong gear ,example serval 3600 50whp 8000 80whp my cub revs to 9700 98whp you may have alittle more down low buy the top whp will always come back around ,but yes a serval is better all around woods motor no doubt
Also my vid shows it jetted 1 main jet rich when I drop to a 152 main it don't do these things ,I just want to keep it on rich side still should be 95whp with 155 main

All these issues that you don't like would be fixed if you were to buy a Cub Serval that's why the servals were brought out the Cub motor is a drag race motor they are all top and people that buy them and try to build them for the trail it never will work you can't get that low end power band with a motor with extremely high exhaust port durations high transfers and high exhaust ports give you lots of power let's keep run lots of timing and lots of compression but they don't make power till the top end that's the drawback to them
It’s running fat for sure, and the fact it’s a cub motor (no bottom) and running the shearers (no bottom) makes it really seem off. I run a 472 ss with shearers, good amount of timing and race gas. I love it, but tbh I’ve never drag raced it on pavement

Every time I warm up my KX85 powerband don't work until it's all the way warm

You can adjust when your powerband kicks in tho? Set it to engage at lower rpms
Stop short shifting it Rev the gear out before shifting its not going to lug
Maybe pull plugs check plug color for rich or lean condition and dial in your carbs from there it should help keep it on the pipe.

About every 2stroke bike I've had, to start you had to open the throttle.

At lower rpm it almost sounds like it's running on 1 cylinder so check your ignition system cause you might have weak spark.

Most of that is just big pipe banshee traits than anything else, it’s not a CR/KX 500
If he put ssr on it then it would start easy and be a torque monster but his exhaust is made for top end!

Sounds like you are not revving it enough. It's not set up for low speed putting around, but it will rip in the sand dunes.

My cub starts with no throttle and has lots of low end im at +7 timing pwk 34 carbs 21cc domes 155 psi pump gas

Use champion n-1 spark plugs. Way better than. NGk. They. Suck buddy. Try. Them awesome. My bike cranked right up first kick for six months
Try putting bigger jets on it if it’s got more fuel it might hit the power band faster

It has plenty of power down low any not going to have a whole lot of power before the poweband, but a serval is better to match stock curves
