    G'day Kevin from Australia.
Allways good to see your videos.
    Look like good drills.
I find living down here the only trouble with banggood is the 8 week wait. ✌

Hi Dave ... I have watched many of your video's. whether you have been machining or testing / checking products out. Even how Meticulous you have been in everything you do, Especially when you went through the Drill Bit sharpening Saga. for you to even recommend these Drill bits, and watching, how they drill through the samples you showed, it shows how good they are. Thanks again Dave, keep up you great work. LOL on a Brighter note, I am going to look forward to see how you are going to sharpen them one day. :)

If u drill stainless use plain old water to lubricate it or if you can use a hand drill and submerge your part in water. Don't believe me ! Try it on a scrap piece of stainless first

Very interesting design and it is nice that it cuts so well. My only question is how do you sharpen it when it gets dull?

I did purchase a set of these awhile ago and yes, they do cut extremely well. Funny thing, when I switch from US to Canada, price quadruples. Still good value for the money tho.

Thanks for the video. How have the bits lasted so far? Would you compare them favourably to, for example, Bosch's Cobalt M35 or M42 bits, in terms of quality?

I bought a set of these, and they are as good as you find them. But the big problem I can see coming up will be the first time I need to sharpen one. Any thoughts on how that may be possible?

    • @TheMiniMachineShop
      @TheMiniMachineShop  Před 4 lety +1

Yeah good luck on that one! They are so cheap I wouldn't even bother...

And if you reduce the speed, add a lil bit more pressure, and with some lubricant, that would be great 👍.

I order from them all the time I'm also in the US and it takes about 2 to 3 weeks. I've reviewed a number of their items causing complete sell outs. I'll never share it if it's junk.

You do not have a shop, it is more like a surgical salon. If I could find an employee who was that organized, I would probably be forced to not let him know who he is working for.

That package with the pin is designed to stop people opening the pack and stealing drills, when it's on display in a retail store. ;)

    • @TheMiniMachineShop

That makes sense! Never saw packaging like that here including drill bits at HF...

That's some Chinese patent I guess. Bought a set of taps and corresponding drillbits some time ago here in Sweden.
Chinese I guess. It took some time to find out the opening procedure. Grab the bottom and lift by the handle!
At least no item is escaping the thin Chinaplastic bag during transport. Lost a hole set of ER32 collets and received an empty bag.
