How To Install A Gable

Bend around the face of the gable metal to create a tight corner. Place a nail every 6 inches.
The first full shingle is ready to install. Cut a nail-tab on the left upper lock and slide the shingle into place, locking it over the gable. Fasten the shingle with one nail on each side.
The slate style has 2 marks on the top lock and is designed to be a random pattern. The embossed style has 1 mark and is a full shingle, half shingle pattern.
Mark the shingle on the bottom where the side fold is needed. Cut 5/8” bigger than your mark. Trim off the top and bottom lock and fasten the shingle into place. Using your fingers, bend the shingle over the gable.
Follow the same process to finish the shingles into a gable. Mark your shingle on the bottom side. Cut 5/8” bigger than your mark, and trim off the top and bottom locks. Secure the shingles into place and bend the side lock over the gable.
