- Maison Martin Margiela's Replica line has a new release: When the Rain Stops. How does it smell? Is it unisex? Is it good? I received my travel spray bottle today and I have some thoughts.

Maison Margiela for me their drydowns has a type of signature scent and so far I'm in love with this scent from the line, its so sweet and fresh! I got Rose off the bat and am very happy, and then the freshness starts coming out

It’s really so clean and fresh. I can see myself enjoying it a lot when it’s spring where I live.
I’m literally doing a wear test and I get replicas bubble bath vibes in the dry down which I love
It’s so interesting that we have different sensations. I get a very fuzzy/furry musky vibe from Bubble Bath and more of a cold breezy vibe from When the Rain Stops. I can see the link with the clean watery notes.

Yes! I have a 10 mL of By the Fireplace. It’s stunning and totally unisex. Have you tried Whispers in the Library? I sprung for a full bottle of that. Peppery vanilla with lemon furniture polish at the top. Weird and pretty.
@@InfinitegardenbyBethK I’ll have to check out Library. Sounds like a good one. I’ve have several but other than Fireplace I really like Jazz Club. For vanilla scents though my most favorite is Atelier in Vanilla Insensee

😂 Eau D’basement has top notes of paper towels, middle notes of laundry soap and base notes of my dad’s record collection.

I love this scent. its just.. so pleasantly warm. I dont like teenager fruity smells and cant stand the musky librarian that lives in chanel smell. This is great

@@louisealain780 yes, I sure did. I love tea scents but I agree with you that it’s very subtle. It didn’t capture my heart. I already have Lemon Island, which is a full-blown love for me. I bought a bottle for myself for my birthday last summer and put a major dent in it.

I too love more masculine type scents. I hate sickly sweet floral feminine scents so "When the rain stops" sounds like it might be a good one for me.
I love your perfume reviews as you really do seem to have a 'nose' for it and I love the way you describe the scents like a connesieur.

@@InfinitegardenbyBethK - i looked it up on the UK Replica site and they don't have this one on there and I can't see any prices at all which is kind of weird.
I don't get earthy smells from this. It's a very fresh, crisp, cleansing, invigorating-yet-calming- at-the-same-time sort of smell. Even though it's about "after" the rain....it makes you think of water....like a light drizzle....like a carefree running through the drizzle or playing in the rain kind of feeling. I feel like most of the popular perfumes for women are those that are based on notes that are floral-powdery-musky-fruity-gourmand.......whereas When the Rain Stops is more of an....airy.....fresh, cleansing/clean....scent. It's not heavy and I think it can work nicely for a professional setting during spring, summer, etc. I love an overcast sky and rain, so the name alone caught my attention. I bought the travel size on the same day that I smelled it for the first time at Sephora.
Your description of this scent is so good! 💗💗 “Carefree” is definitely a good word to describe this scent. I have really loved this one, but it feels personal to me versus one that I want others to smell on me. I do smell some earthy note-but maybe what I mean is vegetal and green notes?
