I've done 60 000 miles on mine. Toured all over the place. Commuted on mine too.
Great bike for a bargain price.
    They handle great.
I'd say that when solo with luggage they perform brilliant. Plenty of usable torque that requires a change down for quicker overtaking. Brakes are good too.
However, they show their weaknesses when a pillion with some luggage are added. They become a bit top heavy, the braking deteriorates and the need to use high revs becomes essential. But, its what I would expect from a 600.
Overall, I still use mine for solo touring on twisty routes. Adding a soft seat cushion is essential long periods in the saddle - otherwise it becomes an instrument of torture on long trips.
A great bike for the price though. Still very capable and loads of fun

I bought mine brand new in 1998. Love at first sight. I'm currently having it fixed up after over 15 years of not riding it.

Iv had a tonne of different bikes in the last 20 odd years but this one was such a peach. Down pipes were a bit shit but a pair of stainless had me see well over 30k miles. Good mid range but she really lit up at around 10k revs. I got so used to the bike, it felt like an extension of my body . Perfect fueling , gearbox ,handling. I ended up high siding it on my commute or I'd have kept it much longer. Had 2 1000cc versions but other than the obvious power increase I didnt enjoy them as much . A solid bargain but they seem to be increasing in price. For good reason

I have the 2003 “Foxeye” and I think it’s a great bit of kit all round.

Got this bike next to my 98 r1 and 98 rsv mille.
Its a real easy going bike , for me its my little mopet 😂😅
Just for doing some shopping or work house rides,
Not fast , not a lot of power . But good enough to have some fun on the way.
    It,s a keeper for me

Would appreciate some opinions on this version vs the next model which was changed after 2003. ? The FZ6 i think. Digital display and engine set up changed i think.
    TIA

Such an uncomfortable bike touring around France i sold it. Seat feels like sitting on a wooden gate after an hour.
