He's not invulnerable. A rocket launcher, the chicago typewriter, broken butterfly and the PRL 412 can finish him off. But yeah, these weapons aside, he's very hard to kill.

I love how he didn't cheese the boss fight by just freezing him and then using the RPG. Heavy respect.
The only part where i think is kind of a fair time to use the free launcher is in The room with 2 garradors
a defeated him to day as well it only took me 3 Hand Grenade 5 Incendiary Grenades 12 Magnum Ammo 23 Shotgun Shells end finish with 14 TMP Ammo

The anxiety I got from hearing Verdugo coming behind me when I was a kid made sure no one's ever sneaking up behind me without me hearing it.
This game is still the best one I got to play in my life. Truly a masterpiece. The setting, atmosphere, some unresolved mysteries and relations. Plenty of shooting, memorable characters. All of it is superbly done.

Leon wouldn't have survived this campaign if it weren't for the odd locations he'd find the merchant. "WHAT ARE YA BUYIN?"
The merchant was in on it the whole time making himself rich while the rest of the villagers were chasing you. He must've been the only one not infected.
The merchant is infected ..although he ain't being controlled like all the other villagers with parasitic organisms
@@phoenixblaze66 One theory is that Merchant is one of the first infected from the mines. The plagas was still in spore form back then, he must have lucked out and got the master variant.

@@TheGary108 I heard another theory that the merchant’s greed or whatever his goal is is stronger than the parasite so the merchant while being infected is still doing what he wants. Kinda like how the infected villagers still do their farming but with the exception that the merchant doesn’t attack Leon.

@@coffeeseriez In a way, yes. I played this game when I was 10 or so for the first time. So, going in an experimentation room with no music only for it to play after picking up a keycard was scary. What's worse is that the music reminded me of impending doom coupled with the regenerator's sound effect. And the scary yet sluggish walking pattern of the regenerator coupled with it's bullet sponging ability made it even more terrifying.

When Verdugo's eyes glowed, they ignited the fear in the player so much.
Best thing to do is just put him in cryo mode and use the Rocket Launcher. Another tip, the moment the merchant is available is the perfect signal that there is a hard boss fight awaiting Leon.

prince williams re2 came out fine though, honestly is re3 a horrible/bad remake? In my opinion no it’s not its fine I just think it had more potential that they never lived up to. I’d love to see this game remade in the re engine not only for the updated graphics but the gameplay as well. Sure it’s aged well but there’s nothing wrong with a modern update to this game. It’s one of my favorite games ever and I’d love to re experience this game all over again in modern graphics.
The controls in this game are horrendous for this day and age. The graphics however are not too bad. As someone who didn’t play the original when it first came out, I wouldn’t mind a remake with modern graphics and control scheme.
All they should do in the remake is update the graphics, controls, add new weapons, knife attacks, and more stuff for mercenaries
I even enjoy the quick time events

Verdugo is literally the perfect tyrant. Obedient, tough and fast as fuck boi. Umbrella spend all this time trying and failing with theirs. Some cult does it first go.

if you play in expert mode, you quickly realize that it is actually the strongest and most difficult boss in the entire game
Kinda amazing a cult was able to produce something that was not only do strong and durable,but also obviously intelligent, and at least as far as we saw, no tendency to horribly mutate when injured.

I only managed to survive this thing by walking in circles around the table in front of the elevator and making sure that Verdugo is always on the opposite side
Tip: If u wanna move fast equip the black shotgun and hit the aim button. Right before the red aim laser comes out go the inventory menu and equip a grenade the exit out of it. That will give u the speed to outrun him. Caution though, if he manages to hit u, you will have to requip that shotgun again and repeat the first process to get that super speed again .
If u want u can use super speed to outrun him. Theres a trick
1) u equip the black shotgun and aim
2) right before the aim laser for the shotgun comes out, go inventory menu and select a grenade
3) You will have the speed you need to outrun him.
Note: you will have to repeat this process if u get hit by the verdugo

The hardest boss in the game. With the handcannon, it still counts 8 bullets to kill him. The best strategy here is to buy a rocket launcher at the Merchant ( if you have enough PTAS) and shoot him with the launcher when he freezes.
But...I know, probably a lot of people already know this.
it's optimal to save the free rocket launcher in the glass display case for this moment. therefore the Crown Jewel becomes free in a sense. but it's not exactly fun to do besides the first time you think about it

In professional mode he eats that rocket like nothing I even had broken butterfly upgrades to atleast 23 dmg and still nothing lol

My favorite go to weapon in this game. And especially for the Verdugo boss fight is...drum roll plz.....: The Killer7. I just love that ita a .45 long-lived. Same gun from the 1st Terminator. Satisfying to kill enemies with.

This is my favorite boss. It's the most tense, it looks really cool, it's fun to fight, and it has an interesting gimmick to it. I like that you can either kill it or survive until the elevator is ready. It's really hard to kill on professional because of the limited nitrogen tanks.
I always wondered if you're weapons weren't upgraded good enough and not strong enough to defeat verdugo and waited for the elevator!
What did verdugo do after Leon got in elevator left without being defeated by Leon?
Just wondered around the whole entire steel floor room until someone something else walked into that room for him to fight and kill!
And also if you wanted to later on before you got to Salazar can you go back into the room where you left verdugo and he will come back to you attack you and to fight verdugo again if you didn't defeat him?

I fought all the regeneradors without finding the thermal scope back on PS2. It was a nightmare and I remember emptying my entire suitcase on them.
Killing him is only Optional, imagine in the Remake, if you skip him and go for the Elevator, he may appear as a Stalker type enemy or even Team up with U-3, forcing the player to kill them Both
If Salazar had sent both Verdugos, Leon would be dead, for sure

This game is a true masterpiece. Played it a few times again a couple of weeks ago (to the point when I could buy an eternal rocket launcher and play the game with it). Everything is perfect in Resident Evil 4. The storyline, characters, music, suspense. This game is always in my heart. Love it.
Probably the most tense fight in the game. Had no idea is was optional. Thought the elevator will come when you kill that boss.

As mentioned in his journal, while he was still human serving as butler for Salazar, he watched Saddler indoctrinate Salazar in the cult. The butler still went with Salazar even though he saw that los illuminados went bad news
