Better Help sucks. I requested a male therapist and they couldn’t match me with one and gave me a female social worker (instead of an actual psychologist). I’m not spending hundreds of dollars a month (literally) to talk to a social worker that isn’t my preferred gender. Love your ASMRs though Preston!
They wanted me to spend hundreds of dollars a month to pair me up with a therapist that went against my wishes. I passed on their services

12:58 My Daddy passed away December 10th 2022 unexpectedly. He was and will always be my best friend. He loved Bruno Mars. When I was younger, I always thought the lyrics were “I’d jump in front of a tree for you”, too. It took me a long time to realize that it was train, not tree. This is one of those things I wish I could share with him. You knkw when you find a joke or something in the internet and think “oh,__would love this I have to tell/show them”? That’s immediately what that part of the did for me. Would have loved to tell him that I wasn’t the only one that thought those were the lyrics! Sometimes when that happens, for a moment I forget he’s gone and that I can’t tell/send it to him.

I don’t comment often but I thought I’d just say yours along with quite a few other asmr artists help so much with my sleep, I love absolutely love variety, I have one that does role plays, one who does visual asmr mostly, and so much more I love it. Also I loved the story time, honestly tho my favorite memory that i remember most was the first time I could play fight with my dad, he’s the reason I know how to protect myself, well kind of. But now he’s not even in my life, he completely abandoned me a few years ago, and had been neglectful to me after my brother was born cause I was his 4th girl so he thought he couldn’t produce boys, so he thought my mom cheated, and so did his side of the family.

I honestly didn’t mind having a female therapist, i’m getting a real therapist at least though. 😭😭
That genuinely is too bad. You'd think a platform like theirs would be able to accommodate you for your request. I'm genuinely shocked that therapy went from a 50/50 gender split 10 years ago to a 8/92 male/female. I really don't know why the massive shift but there still isn't a shortage of males. They could definitely get you one.

personally, i like the more "raw footage" style with minimal editing. it just feels more comfortable and real whereas so many things are artificial nowadays. plus, at least in my opinion, minimal editing in asmr videos feels more personal which i find adds to the relaxing atmosphere
