- This is a video showing a list of all UEFA Euro 2020 stadiums and host cities. You will find out where the games will be played, what are the capacity of the stadiums and when they were build. 2020 European Championship will take place from 11 June to 11 July 2021 and will be held in 12 cities in 12 UEFA countries.
Wembley Stadium in London is scheduled to host the semi-finals and final. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome was chosen to host the opening game, involving Turkey and hosts Italy.
Portugal are the defending champions, having won the 2016 competition. For the first time, the video assistant referee (VAR) system will be used at the UEFA European Championship.
UEFA President Michel Platini said the tournament is being hosted in several nations as a "romantic" one-off event to celebrate the 60th "birthday" of the European Championship competition.

Why does the Bucharest stadium look like Frankfurt's Commerzbank Arena?
Enzo Hugo Tandiono it is projected by the same team of engineers and the plan was to look similar to Commerzbank Arena
National Stadiums in Bucharest and Warsaw look kinda similar to Frankfurt Stadium. What's improved, is that they have roofs.

Yes, that what I have also paid attention to. You should have built at least 60K-seater. In Poland we have a good stadium in Warsaw but still when looking at Hungarian National Stadium and the number of fans that want to buy tickets for domestic games in Poland we should have at least 90K capacity stadium. that happens all over the place it's not just Belgium. Politics is crap everywhere, so investing in what people see as important is not always a "priority" for those running the country and deciding on projects.
Or maybe they want it but move too slow. Or maybe they don't know how to get it moving (bureaucracy).

interesting. It was said that there will be actually 3 stadiums in Bucharest-Romania at some point and I do remember seeing the plans to build the 2 stadiums missing (besides Arena Nationala). Guess plans changed.
It's an interesting project, never before tried, but way too... big. it's a showcase of power, but at the expense of fans I believe. As now stadiums are not located in a country (or 2 neighbouring countries), you will have to book plane tickets to fly from one game to another.
So for example, we will either have committed fans flying from France & Belgium to Azerbaijan to see France - Belgium game OR have UEFA explain why stadiums are empty at Euro 2020.

Yeah. But now it called Gazprom Arena. Its last names are Krestovsky Stadium and Saint Petersburg Stadium (on CC2017 and WC2018). By the way, on its place was located old Kirov Stadium (1950s - 2000s) 🙂
