- REPITCHED version. Daniele Barioni sings "M'appari tutto amor" ("Ach so fromm") from Flotow's Martha. The clip is taken from the 1958 movie "Carosello di Canzoni".
There is another clip of the same excerpt in the wrong speed (over one note sharp) and the real beauty of Barioni's voice does not show. Bongiovanni extracted the moviesound and issued the recordings on their disc "Pot Pourri di tenori vol.1" - they never corrected the speed, and the recording remaind over one entire note sharp. - Hudba

L'ho sentito cantare a 82 anni e aveva la stessa voce, gli stessi acuti, la stessa presenza scenica, un vero peccato che esista cosi poca discografia, una voce cosi è unica, persino Del Monaco se ne era accorto, grazie Afropoli per questa chicca che ci hai proposto ❤
Love Barioni. So few people today have ever even heard of him. His career was unfortunately relatively short, presumably due to grief over his young wife's death. Thankfully, he left behind a fair number of recordings which show the tremendous power, range, and sheer beauty of his wonderful voice. I would love to have heard him live...it would have been a real privilege.

Macche'! Definitemi come volete, ma insisto: con Barioni la partita e' persa in partenza. Questo preziosissimo filmato dimostra, oltre alla voce, alla forza e alla gioia di cantare, che Pavarotti ci azzecco': non per dire che si era in presenza dell'erede di Caruso, ma di un altro pianeta. Parole del piu' celebrato dei tenori, poveri fessi che siamo stati! Ma, per farci perdonare, abbiamo un'attenuante: Barioni non lo conosceva nessuno. E mi viene da ridere quando penso a quella casa automobilistica, che se avesse avuto tra le mani il Copparese con il suo "Nessun dorma" a pubblicizzare per televisione il suo prodotto, be', avrebbe fatto scintille nelle vendite.
