  • In this video I dissolve a small amount of gold filings in aqua regia and precipitate the pure gold. The gold is melted in our furnace and a 24k gold bead is ready to be reused.

Sir, can you kindly make a video about extracting gold from scrapped electronics boards? There many of them over the internet, but your way of showing stuff is quite plain simple and so truthful. Congratulations for the nice work. That Lord's blessings always makes your life better.

So True. I have it in my notes to do an e-board video, but it may be a little while before I get to it. Stay tuned and thanks again!

Best information in very short time.

Not messing arround... 😀Disolve, precipitate, melt... boom done...
I will need some pure gold too, I will cupel it first (coin gold 90 % gold 10 % copper) and depending on result clean it via HCl and peroxide... or not...

Putting the melt dish with that much water into your furnis was a bad idea. The water would have bubbled as it boiled and spat gold out

You are right, I went back and watched the video and I didn't show the last step of drying before putting crucible in furnace. Good catch!

Missed a very cruicial step. Washing the gold after it is precipitated. You need to wash all the metal ions that are in the solution off the gold. If you dont you will just contaminate the gold.

You are very correct and thank you for the information. I did a poor job of explaining this in the video but I assure you I did rinse thouroughly off camera. I tried to make a shorter video and unfortunatly I edited out a crucial step. Thanks for watching and may all of your days be blessed!
