    You can clearly see Pablo is genuinely happy when he saw his cousin even though its all hallucination. And when he said he misses him every single day in my life, he tried his best to hold his tears, dayum.

    Gustavo was one of the very few people that kept Pablo in check in the earlier days and had the balls to tell him about himself. Pablo definitely lost his way when Gustavo died I'm sure things would have ended one way or the other for Pablo but maybe not as messy

      @@stopwritingthatreplyjohnat6638 When you "leave" prison on your own accord, decades before your sentence is actually up (hell it could even be 1 day), you've full on escaped regardless of how you set it up lmfao. The man had a full on tunnel built beneath his cell, he voluntarily escaped down the ladder and out the exit, regardless of how many guards he paid off (a task that'd literally be impossible without the guards and a litany of construction workers and sicarios), he 100% "escaped prison"..

      Leaving a prison on your own accord while nobody is trying to stop you from leaving is not escaping. Escaping a prison means a functional system of guards are tasked to prevent you from leaving the prison and you leave anyway, it does not mean paying all of them enough money that they tip their hat to you as you walk out.

Every single guard in that jail wasn't paid off, every guard sure as fuck didn't have a clue a tunnel was being constructed and Chapo was plotting his escape, he didn't just simply "walk out" as the guards "all tipped their hats", if what you think went down actually happened, the man would've walked out the back entrance instead of constructing a wildly sophisticated-exremely deep-tunnel system that took hundreds of people and months on end to build, and easily tens (if not hundreds) of millions of dollars. Anything past this is just a nonsensical waste of time so 👋

    One of the greatest scenes of Narcos. Wagner Moura is such a fantastic actor. He can be very menacing as an evil Pablo, but he can also become a human being with a full scale of emotions, as in this scene. Parabens Wagner!

    This scene is so full of emotion. Couldn't help but getting choked up when I first saw it. Brotherhood, family, childhood, little boys' dreams and commitment all coming together. Big respect to everyone involved in shooting this.

      That’s the weird thing about these narco series, they have these moments when the character is humanize and everything is falling apart but at the end you have to remember the things they did to deserve their inevitable demise.

      Even the greatest of evil men in the world had people they loved. Hitler loved his wife and his dog, and Pablo loved his family and his cousin. He probably had thoughts of regret towards the end, thinking it might've been better if he had just lived more humbly, but we'll never know now.

      @@matasa7463 Yes that's exactly the feeling I had when I finally saw this episode yesterday. The entire arc in his father's farm is a way for the directors to talk some hypothetical alternative path Pablo could have taken all along had he been born in another place and time with his cousin. There, maybe for the first and last time of his life, was able to briefly contemplate a possible glimpse of that other self he could have been. That would be the only point of his entire existence where he must have questioned his choices and their dire consequences for so many others that his ruthless ambition wiped away on his quest for eternal glory as a kingpin.

    I'm sure if Gustavo wasn't killed so early into the operation of the cartel, they would still be active today or atleast ALOT longer than they were. Pablo was hot headed, his actions were impulsive. Gustavo ensured his actions wouldn't have grave consequences.

      I doubt it'd be much longer. While Gustavo could control him somewhat, Pablo really wanted everyone to bow down to him. He bombed the plane and Gustavo couldn't do anything about it. Pablo would have been just as impulsive and he probably would have been caught eventually anyway. He was done when he started killing important political figures.

    This scene showed a different side to Pablo. He'd become so enthralled in his business, and between "helping" his country and fighting the system, that he had never taken the time to simply enjoy life. Here he can be seen relaxing in the park with an ice cream like the common man he always claimed to be, taking in his beautiful city.
    It's almost a shame he doesn't realise his mistakes and surrender like Tata wanted. Not that he deserved to live, but he probably could have.

    losing a sibling or someone you called a sibling is really shitty. this whole sequence of a scene really captures it. i lost my brother suddenly to drinking and driving, him being 19 me being 18. 16 months apart. everything fell apart when he left, that was in 2012. it still hasn't gotten any better....

    This scene is so powerful, perfectly represents how it feels to miss someone important in your life, how the grief is never really over, how the intrusive thoughts of the lost beloved ones are relentlessly coming. The way he looks at Gustavo, realizing he will join him sooner or later and how this loss impacted his life, it reflects exactly the reality of mourning.

    Lot of people forget murphy talking about drug dealers running around in slippers , and in this scene we see a wide shot where both pablo and gustavo are wearing same kind of slippers , which probably signifies how a big drug lord and street dealers are same for officer like murphy !!
