I don't exactly remember which video it was exactly that hooked me in (likely "What if Gamma survived", if I were to guess), but ever since that one vid, it got me HOOKED to your retellings & alternative stories. It's done in such a strongly rich, wildly creative matter that carries the imagination (not to mention, your vocab & articulation is amazing). And to see you return & currently at work to continue, it's exciting news possible for this channel. something I think that's well to keep in mind, that both many dedicated viewers as well as myself would want to reciprocate, take your breaks. The lack of content is understood, the hiatus is forgiven, & your health (physical, mental, etc.) is bar-none the most important thing this channel has to offer. Take your time on these projects, as it'll come out as stellar as all the previous ones, & look out for yourself while you make these. You know, I randomly stumbled upon your Emerl series I dont know how long ago. I put it in my playlists to watch later and... practically forgot about it. At the time you werent a channel I knew of so it didnt make much a difference to me, but whenever Id scroll further back in all my saved playlists Id see it and itd be a little "Oh yeah, I need to watch that still" moment. But like New Year's resolutions, that never really happened The recent trailers for Shadow Generations, the knowledge of Emerl having a new modern showing, and seeing people talk about him has reignited the burning love I had for that little robot because despite never seeing the game or knowing his story fully I LOVED him as a youngin and it really felt like my inner child is alive and well once again seeing him. Suffice to say, this recent chaos with Emerl brought me to finally start watching that series (as Im writing this Im about to begin Part 4), and I saw in the description that it was a reupload, so now Im here So far, Ive enjoyed the series thoroughly and I can safely say I will definitely be checking out more in the future. Glad you're back mate. I remember really enjoying the content you made and being saddened with the seeming disappearance. You're kind of the reason why i got into making my own what if scenarios with friends. Such as me trying to somehow mix in Megaman lore into Kh lore for a rp with friends. Mainly because I lost a bet but still. I understand the self doubt and worry with releasing videos onto the internet for all to see. I definitely don't have the courage for that. Just know that there's people you inspire with the content you make. But I'm excited to watch the new videos you come back with just to how much your already great writing skills have improved.
Dude, Scourge, all I really have to say, is I'm so glad you're back. I remember finding your channel right around the time lockdown hit for us here in Pennsylvania, your stories captivated me, I started coming up with some ideas of my own, eagerly waiting for the next video to come out. I don't remember which What If it was that drew me in (I want to say it was Emerl's, and to you I thank for introducing me to one of my favorite characters), but your stuff was fascinating and so cool. Even with the changes you're making, I will be here for every second of it... or at least I'll try to be anyway, I'm gonna be trying to navigate college soon enough, recently got accepted so now I have a way to pursue my dream career as a game designer. You have always been awesome man, it can be hard to bounce back, I've been there, pressure is rough. But the bounce back, if this is showing me anything, you're gonna be coming back swinging and I can't wait. Keep getting better, we'll support you all the way. (By the way, I think you've just made my day. Caught a glimpse of that Emerl repost and I knew something was up, man am I glad I looked!)

Glad to have you back 2 years huh, I barely realized it had been that long and that's with the fact I had been checking to see if there was anything new like once a month. And Scourge please don't push yourself to hard I would rather have one great video a week or a month than ten mediocre videos, so take care and know that we await your next video when ever it arrives.
So good to know you're alright! I and so many others were genuinely worried that something might have happened to you. I thought about asking a CZcamsr I knew you were close to if you were okay or not, but I didn't want to reach out to her in case it turned out to be something serious and too sensitive to discuss. I wanted to respect both of you and your privacy. Hearing about what you've been going through that drove you to go quiet for so long, I completely understand. I actually went through something similar. I had been working on a fan made Sonic comic dub project with lots of voice actors (I was the director and lead of the comic dub project), but then some personal stuff came up in my life and I was hit hard with depression. It actually reached a point where I hit rock bottom and in suicidal territory, only able to remain strong thanks to the support of emotional support cats I was caring for at the time and distracting myself from my grief by focusing on a video game with a very compelling story and characters that inspired me to make very touching artwork of it. I was literally at war with myself and emotionally drained as my brain was telling me to hurt myself. I couldn't handle the stress of trying to maintain the project while in such a fragile state and needed to focus on overcoming my depression before I could finally touch the project again. I couldn't even bring myself to tell the others that I needed to take a break from the project because my depression was so bad at the time. The next thing I knew, months had turned into three years since I last touched it. I was so ashamed of my sudden silence for so long that I couldn't bring myself to let anyone know I was okay or even alive after I finally began to recover. I'm still worried about finally saying anything to anyone I had been working with because it had been so long. After seeing this, maybe I'll finally be able to let them know that I'm okay. I don't know if I'll be able to return to the project as I'm still struggling with my depression, but I'm luckily out of the danger zone and have found coping methods to deal with my depression. One of the voice actors has kept in contact with me from time to time and he knows I'm okay. I never told him about my depression, only telling him that I lost the energy needed to keep up with the project. I didn't want to worry him too much by revealing to him how dark of a mindset I was in at the time. I'm one of those people who could listen to other people's problems but was too worried to talk about my own problems with others because I didn't want to be a burden and it took me FOREVER to finally realize it's okay to share my problems with others, even with those who need to know about what's going on with me. Luckily, I've begun to feel more comfortable with it and am trying to help others understand how important it is. It can be very relieving to share your stories and help others feel inspired by what you've been through and how you've survived them.

The original Episode Shadow will probably remain lost media for the foreseeable future. But maybe it'll see the light of day again, eventually.

I totally get why you went on hiatus. Sometimes it’s hard to come back, and people can be so pushy when wanting new content. It’s frustrating, especially when you’re only one person. That on top of burning out and other things that have happened over the last couple years. I’m happy to see you gains, but mostly importantly, take care of yourself and take your time.

I wanna say thank you for this video. I cant wait until what youll cook up for all your What If videos, and for your channel in the future. Im glad i waited, and im glad i stuck around after watching the What If Espio video, as those 2 parters alone inspired me creatively in ways i legitimately cant explain. It stuck with me, even after 2 years of it being on pause.

You know, I randomly stumbled upon your Emerl series I dont know how long ago. I put it in my playlists to watch later and... practically forgot about it. At the time you werent a channel I knew of so it didnt make much a difference to me, but whenever Id scroll further back in all my saved playlists Id see it and itd be a little "Oh yeah, I need to watch that still" moment. But like New Year's resolutions, that never really happened
The recent trailers for Shadow Generations, the knowledge of Emerl having a new modern showing, and seeing people talk about him has reignited the burning love I had for that little robot because despite never seeing the game or knowing his story fully I LOVED him as a youngin and it really felt like my inner child is alive and well once again seeing him. Suffice to say, this recent chaos with Emerl brought me to finally start watching that series (as Im writing this Im about to begin Part 4), and I saw in the description that it was a reupload, so now Im here
So far, Ive enjoyed the series thoroughly and I can safely say I will definitely be checking out more in the future. Godspeed to everything going on in your life over there, and welcome back TSS ^^

It is a relief to know that you are okay. I have been rewatching your stuff on and off quite a bit lately, and just assumed that you were busy in your personal life. It sucks that you have been struggling with so many things, but I am thankful that you are doing better.
Your shifted plans sound perfectly okay to me. I am happy for you to make your workload less intense - you are more important than your content, and said content will not suffer from you streamlining your workflow. We watch for your stories, creativity and performance, - for YOU - not for your (amazing) custom art and music.
Please take care of yourself. Try not to let your returning passion for your work get in the way of the sleep you need.

Glad to see you back! I totally understand the burn out and the insanity of it all. Glad to see you are safe and healthy and I cannot wait to see where all the stories go. I'm happy that you have come back to these wonderful stories and you take all the time you need. I write fanfiction and understand the stress it can be to update and respond to the community involved. I have taken months and yes, years, to update something.
To keep it short: no need to apologize (at least to me). I get it. Glad you are back and I'll be there when the next Sonic What If comes out.
Glad you're back mate. I remember really enjoying the content you made and being saddened with the seeming disappearance. You're kind of the reason why i got into making my own what if scenarios with friends. Such as me trying to somehow mix in Megaman lore into Kh lore for a rp with friends. Mainly because I lost a bet but still. I understand the self doubt and worry with releasing videos onto the internet for all to see. I definitely don't have the courage for that. Just know that there's people you inspire with the content you make. But I'm excited to watch the new videos you come back with just to how much your already great writing skills have improved.

Dude, Scourge, all I really have to say, is I'm so glad you're back.
I remember finding your channel right around the time lockdown hit for us here in Pennsylvania, your stories captivated me, I started coming up with some ideas of my own, eagerly waiting for the next video to come out. I don't remember which What If it was that drew me in (I want to say it was Emerl's, and to you I thank for introducing me to one of my favorite characters), but your stuff was fascinating and so cool. Even with the changes you're making, I will be here for every second of it... or at least I'll try to be anyway, I'm gonna be trying to navigate college soon enough, recently got accepted so now I have a way to pursue my dream career as a game designer. You have always been awesome man, it can be hard to bounce back, I've been there, pressure is rough. But the bounce back, if this is showing me anything, you're gonna be coming back swinging and I can't wait. Keep getting better, we'll support you all the way.
(By the way, I think you've just made my day. Caught a glimpse of that Emerl repost and I knew something was up, man am I glad I looked!)

Glad to have you back 2 years huh, I barely realized it had been that long and that's with the fact I had been checking to see if there was anything new like once a month. And Scourge please don't push yourself to hard I would rather have one great video a week or a month than ten mediocre videos, so take care and know that we await your next video when ever it arrives.
So good to know you're alright! I and so many others were genuinely worried that something might have happened to you. I thought about asking a CZcamsr I knew you were close to if you were okay or not, but I didn't want to reach out to her in case it turned out to be something serious and too sensitive to discuss. I wanted to respect both of you and your privacy.
Hearing about what you've been going through that drove you to go quiet for so long, I completely understand. I actually went through something similar. I had been working on a fan made Sonic comic dub project with lots of voice actors (I was the director and lead of the comic dub project), but then some personal stuff came up in my life and I was hit hard with depression. It actually reached a point where I hit rock bottom and in suicidal territory, only able to remain strong thanks to the support of emotional support cats I was caring for at the time and distracting myself from my grief by focusing on a video game with a very compelling story and characters that inspired me to make very touching artwork of it. I was literally at war with myself and emotionally drained as my brain was telling me to hurt myself. I couldn't handle the stress of trying to maintain the project while in such a fragile state and needed to focus on overcoming my depression before I could finally touch the project again. I couldn't even bring myself to tell the others that I needed to take a break from the project because my depression was so bad at the time. The next thing I knew, months had turned into three years since I last touched it. I was so ashamed of my sudden silence for so long that I couldn't bring myself to let anyone know I was okay or even alive after I finally began to recover. I'm still worried about finally saying anything to anyone I had been working with because it had been so long.
After seeing this, maybe I'll finally be able to let them know that I'm okay. I don't know if I'll be able to return to the project as I'm still struggling with my depression, but I'm luckily out of the danger zone and have found coping methods to deal with my depression. One of the voice actors has kept in contact with me from time to time and he knows I'm okay. I never told him about my depression, only telling him that I lost the energy needed to keep up with the project. I didn't want to worry him too much by revealing to him how dark of a mindset I was in at the time. I'm one of those people who could listen to other people's problems but was too worried to talk about my own problems with others because I didn't want to be a burden and it took me FOREVER to finally realize it's okay to share my problems with others, even with those who need to know about what's going on with me. Luckily, I've begun to feel more comfortable with it and am trying to help others understand how important it is. It can be very relieving to share your stories and help others feel inspired by what you've been through and how you've survived them.
Power to you for determination to push through your struggles, Midnight. We've all been there.

Good to be back, Player. Yeah, I'm known to be a little overly meticulous about the narrative structure and "canon" in the What Ifs. That's my B-I just can't seem to shake the habit. The original Episode Shadow will probably remain lost media for the foreseeable future. But maybe it'll see the light of day again, eventually.
