    I liked all your videos. Please i need your help. What could cause rpm to go high on park and neutral? what could cause fuel rail pressure sensor in high rage? Could leak exhaust manifold causes it, cause have changed the oxygen sensors, throttle body sensor. please, help me out. My car is Kia carnival 2005 2.5L petrol engine automatic. obd codes are p1169, p0056, p0156, p0030. Thank you for your help.

    I have a 2005 grand prix gt non sc. I'm getting a p0404 code. Do you think that is probably the egr valve itself? I was going to pull it off and clean with some throttle body cleaner. Any other suggestions?

    I have '95 Roadmaster that is having a little trouble passing NOx. W/ the EGR off the car I can hand vacuum pump it up and it holds as well as when I place it on the car. But, when I let the car idle it wont pump up w/ the hand vacuum. Is there something going on in the intake for this odd behavior? I cleaned the EGR w/ Seafoam before. Thx

      Also my Ford v-10 has a vacuum diaphragm EGR with the vac line on top but no solenoid or ECU but I do have a DPF pressure sensor. How come?! Maybe I do have an ECU ??

    I've heard claims that removing EGR can increase engine performance and improve longevity, since there is no carbon buildup on intake valves. Do you know if this is true ?

    • @residentevil9894
      @residentevil9894 Před 5 lety

      I do not think is true at all. The purpose of the egr valve is to reduce knock in engine from extreme temp in cylinder. You can make engine run richer to cool cylinders but that increases fuel economy and drecreases engine performance. I got these info from general motors ASE 8 guide.

  • @Showmetas
    @Showmetas Před 4 lety

    wait this egr system goes agaist everything ive learnt about cold air intake if my warm gaes are goin in whats the point of cooling the air before it goes in im confused now

    • @TheKsurf
      @TheKsurf Před 4 lety +1

      inert gas enters combustion cylinders making less room for air by a certain % that still allows oxygen to enter, less oxygen means less heat produced, keep in mind egr opens while around cruiseing speed and is mainly meant to decrease nox emissions. egr is win win.

  • @hermanrogers1325
    @hermanrogers1325 Před rokem

    On a good running car we have exhaust gases and pcv gases and gasoline vapor going back into the intake manifold to be burned with fresh clean fuel now I see why the intake valves get caked deposits all over them and clogged up the engine intake system and requiring intake valves cleaning

  • @stevenharden803

    can you just block the egr off.

    • @nadenitza
      @nadenitza Před 6 lety

      Yes, but you need to delete it from your software as well. Reason being you will get no pressure reading or some value that the ECU will think there is a problem and will give you check engine light or other dashboard error.

    Modern cars are garbage, unnecessarily complicated, cars with a carburetor and mechanical distributor runs just fine and can be fixed with simple and cheap parts in the road by youself, later on was a great improvement was the implementation of basic fuel injection and electronic distributor, those cars runs forever, after that they are overloaded with unnecessary valves, sensors, computers, 600 hoses under the hood GDI is good for car racing where they disassemble the engine between races but is complete garbage system in a street car, modern cars are expensive to fix, require special equipment, tools, software, etc. Garbage garbage garbage but is the way the cars market move in this days.

  • @iamsorryforbeingrudebefore1626

  • @alchemy1
    @alchemy1 Před 4 lety

    So you are talking about what the EGR system does, not how it does it. Big difference.
    You have no idea how it does it specially the electric stepper motor type.
    It is easy to talk in general. Yea I can do that too.
    Let me ask you straight forward direct question and I assure you, you will not answer it.
    Lets see how much you actually know.
    Explain in details.
    1. what exactly triggers the sensor wire to send signal to the computer and exactly how that trigger works. Clearly explain it. And then what is it that you call signal? It is not some sort of whistle, or yelling, he we need some shit in here...?
    2. What is reference 5 volt wire, why 5 volts? what are these things made of anyway and how do they look, their shape, size, distance, configuration …?
    3. Why does so called signal wire and this reference 5 volt have their own ground wire separate from body ground anyway? Show in drawing how exactl;y these things look like and their physical relationship to what is inside the valve body.
    4. How does the signal control related, designed, rand have any elationship inside the valve.
    Show schematics and clearly explain what happens?
    You don't have to explain how the computer does it. I won't put you through that. That would be unrealistic.
    This is called "How EGR system actually works".
    Now try it.
