I love young Royals because they also show alot without saying it. You can clearly see Wilhelm having anxiety and also panic attacks, he's not labeling his sexuality. I love that :)

I'm definitely glad you decided to go with the original Swedish for this one. I've seen both versions and despite the fact that I can't actually understand what they're saying (without subtitles) there's just more subtlety and nuance to the performances in the original. It does probably help that we don't really dub anything here in the Netherlands, so reading subtitles is very much so second nature to me.

So the English cc will have localization tweaks that changes the slang they are actually using so the normal English keeps the Swedish slang more. Which makes it more accurate, technically. One thing that gets me every time I watch this one is that, if you look at Willem while Felice is watching him at the beginning, he looks all cool and moves in a very suave kind of way, and then as soon as we're seeing him on our own, he's back to being just like... a normal teen, moving just a little awkwardly and looking nice but not nearly as cool. Their names are Wilhelm, pronounced vil-em (or villeh for a nickname), and Simon, pronounced see-mon. The soundtrack is SO GOOD, but also very female-heavy and POC-heavy (on purpose) AND ALSO is very much a commentary on the show/adding to the depth of what's happening. When you're done, you should watch some of the interviews - there are great ones with Edvyn (Wille) and Omar (Simon), but also ones with Lisa (head writer/creator) and Rojda (creative director/one of the directors) where they talk about the casting and how important it was to them to get actors who were still teenagers, and who looked good obviously, but also looked like they could just be the person down the street, imperfections and everything. The camera work and intimacy in this show are just EVERYTHING. They did such an amazing job. The feelings just from the hand holding, and then the lead up to the kiss... aaaaaaahhhhhh.

For the audio problem you mentioned, I think automatically Netflix gives you 5.1 audio (which is so annoying) so you have to change it to “original” so the music doesn’t spike up! Hope this helps! ❤️

I think the dub is quite good, it is the actors themselves speaking as they all know english, the swedish audio is of course better and some of the translations are a bit off but you get the same thing with subtitles. So if listening to it in English is better for you i think you should do that
