    I like this model Roland Aerophone Go convenient to play and not heavy to carry wherever you go and play anywhere

    Thanks Alistair. I just bought the GO, 2 hours ago. It's great. Now I have set those dynamics. Cheers.

    Thanks a lot from Argentine in quarentine :) and because of that and not to make noise to my neighbors, I’ve bought Aerophone go, so your tutorial are incredibly helpful. I’m a beginner into the Saxofon world. Cheers

    Great video as always! I think it would be nice to make a video on connecting the Aerophone Go with DAWS and software synths along with midi routing etc. I used mine to perform live with the Magellan IPad synth and it worked wonderfully!

    Alistair, I need your advice. I have now been learning recorder for about 3 months, and would like to get an Aerophone. My question is: Would you recommend getting the Aerophone-mini or the Aerophone GO? (I will be using recorder fingering.) It's hard for a keyboard player like myself to make that call. I don't mind the extra cost of the 05 if it will open up lots of new musical options for me, but I don't want to get stuck with some complicated electronic gizmo if it's not necessary. Please advise!

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 2 lety +1

      Such a difficult question when I don’t know you or how you play. I’d would say the Mini would be a good start.

      @@isax.academy Hello, Alistair, from the Philadelphia suburbs. An old friend (and fellow keyboard player) suggested I try the Aerophone-GO and it arrived this afternoon via FedEx. Thanks Alistair for well thought out tutorial. I downloaded the Aerophone GO user manual but couldnt find information as to whether it's possible to assign high notes (altissimo G and up) to the fingerings that work for me on an acoustic alto. Is this possible on Aerophone GO?

  •  Před 3 lety

    Very good tutorials, dear Alistair!
    I have a question though about the fingering customization possibilities of the Aerophone Go. Most users of this device are looking at it from their saxophone point of view and it also seems very convenient to get also a recorder and an EWI choice for fingerings. But I am a flute player. Which of course means basically the Boehm fingering system similar to the saxophone. But on flute we have that right hand pinky thing obligatory, which means that we press down the D#-key for literally all notes except low and middle D. If you would do that on a saxophone also, it would not change the pitches of any notes other than D. But I guess on the Aerophone Go it would raise up all other notes by a half step, wouldn´t it? If so: Is there a way to even design fingerings for the whole range of the instrument according to my flute players preferences? Thanks a lot!

    Hello Alistair, thank you very much for these wonderful tutorials. What fingering system do you recommend someone without any background at wind instrument except the harmonica

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 4 lety

      I know people disagree with this but I use saxophone fingering. If you are staring from scratch the EWI fingering offers more possibilities.

    Any possibility to sustain a note on the AE-05? I thought about using it as a midi controller for my DAW's vocoder software but I'd have to find a way generate and hold a note first.

    Hello. Thank you for the videos. Is there a way to make the sound more responsive in terms of speed? I feel a little bit of latency even when playing with the onboard speaker.

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 3 lety

      I find this varies on different sounds. Turning the breath curve down to L1 or below can help but then you can lose some dynamic control.

    Do the other fingerings, set on the app, still apply when the instrument is detached from the app?

    • @mikeoregan4747
      @mikeoregan4747 Před 4 lety

      Yes, but with reservations. I set Trumpet as fingering mode on the app, then detached from the app. Then tried Setting plus the Fingering button. It beeped 4 times - success. But if I then scroll through the Fingering modes, the Trumpet Mode is lost and I am back to the 3 Standard Modes.
