    I am so impressed with this instrument and am eager to try it but I do not play wind instruments at all...... I can perhaps try it out.... you are a master.... your teaching video is excellent.... I’m so tempted....

    Thanks for your excellent videos, which helped me make the decision just a few days ago, to buy an Aerophone AE-10, at a local Music & Arts store. I agree that one needs to use a mouthpiece pad, to protect the mouthpiece from bite marks, and for comfort of the player. I use the thick ones from Vandoren. Also, the sling that came with my Aerophone is not very good. I use the same one I use with my saxes. Something I would have liked to see somewhere, is suggestions for powered speakers to use with Aerophone. The speakers in the instrument are pretty awful, so any user will need to use a headphone or external speaker. I got lucky and found a great speaker at a local Guitar Center. You don't want to use a guitar amp, but I found a JBL 305P MkII powered monitor speaker, which cost about $130, and works great and sounds great with my Aerophone AE-10. I think there are more choices for the Aerophone Go, since it has Bluetooth. In a future video, I suggest you address the complaints that users have had about the app for Aerophone Go.

    Thanks! I just ordered one :) I live in a apartment and can't practice the saxophone as much as I want to so I thought the Aerophone could be a good tool for practicing.

      The Aerophone go is a great tool for practicing the sax fingerings and just playing along to tunes w/o disturbing the neighbors!

    First of all a big THANK YOU for all these EXCELLENT tutorials! Question; They deliver a small tape to protect the AE-5 GO against saliva. Any way to prevent or reduce this. Does it harm the instrument?

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 4 lety +1

      Not really. Some players have it worse than others. Temperature affects it a little.

    Hello Alistair. Thank you so much for making Aerophone videos! There aren't many sources for info and they are so helpful. I have question regarding some of your setup. I apologize if you planned on on covering this later in this series, but when you use your wind controllers with a VSTi like SWAM or Audio Modeling do you use an audio interface? Does the Aerophone plug directly into your computer or the audio interface? Thanks again.

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 5 lety

      Hi. Yes I will be looking at this in a future video. In short an audio interface is the best way to go especially to reduce latency. The aerophone connects to the computer via USB or bluetooth then the audio leaves the computer via the interface. Thanks for watching.

  • @mausound1152

    Thanks Alistar for the great demonstrations. I bought an Aerophone Go. It is clear to me that after playing it is necessary to leave the instrument vertically to let the condensation drip, I clean the mouthpiece by carefully drying the sensor. For some time now some keys have been opening and closing in jerks, the keyboard is not fluid and the sounds sometimes come out late because the keys seem to be stuck. Could it be that you need a thorough cleaning of the keys? Thanks

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 2 lety

      I guess so. I’ve never had that issue. Do you use the sweat band around the neck of the Aerophone to prevent moisture getting to the keys?

    • @mausound1152
      @mausound1152 Před 2 lety

      Thanks for your kind reply. I never let the inside of the Aerophone Go dry out. After playing, I always put it in the case. I think at this point that condensation has remained in the internal chamber and probably the key guides will be dirty ... do you think it can be remedied?

    Just got one of these recently so thanks for the series. I have a couple questions I hope you can address in the upcoming videos: Any advice an bite settings in the app? The auto settings don't seem to work very well and it was hard to keep it in tune. I improved things by messing with the settings but still could be better, still don't have it exactly like a sax like I'm used to. Also the right thumb button defaults to pitch down, can it be changed in the settings to do pitch up? That would be more musically useful in my opinion, to do guitar-like bends etc. Thanks!

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 5 lety

      Hi. Yes I'll certainly be looking at the bite settings in a video coming up soon. Many thanks for watching.

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 3 lety

      Hi. I’m not quite sure I understand your question here. Sorry. C# is no fingers on at all with the octave key on. Is it because you are losing balance of the instrument?

      @@isax.academy Thx for the answer - I would like a real sax off course, but as I travel quite a lot I thought it would be a nice passtime during long evenings in the hotels using head phones - not sure a real sax would be suitable here ;-)

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 4 lety

      Very difficult question. As with all instruments, its about how much time you are willing to put into it. If you really want to put some time in I think the GO will give you more options.

    Thank you Alstair. I would like to buy a "BG Saxophone Strap" ,as you recommended, for my Aerophone AE-10. Because the Saxophone straps on the market are always too long., and I can not adjust them shorter. But the picture in this video is not so clear. Could you tell me its exact model number ? Thank you

    Mr Parnell I just got an aerophone go myself but I noticed when I connect it to my mac book and play through a sax plugin in mainstage the notes are an octave higher than if I connect to the app or use the inbuilt tones
    Any fix for this? Appreciate any help I could get on this

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před rokem +1

      Yes. You fix this in Mainstage.
      Select the track in the mixer section then there’s a an input tab where you can lower the input by an octave or whatever you want.

    Hello sir, how do I clean the saliva in the machine? Or do I not clean it?

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  Před 5 lety

      Hi. The saliva will mostly run out through a small pipe that runs through the instrument. Carefully removing the mouthpiece and wiping away any excess moisture around the top of the instrument is the only think you need to do.
