Nucky doesn't look like a typical tough guy, which often worked in his favor. His enemies underestimated him and assumed that he was soft, but he could be harder and more vicious than anyone when the situation called for it. Steve Buscemi was the perfect choice to play the role.

A Luger is no more German than a 1911 is American!
Would a 1911 manufactured under license in Brazil be a Brazilian gun?
How about a Luger made in Angola?
When I hear about a 'German Luger' I am reminded of people who say 'Rio Grande River'...'Rio Grande' means Big River.

@@BigHorseFilm his gun only existedd because another maufacturer was too stubborn to get rid of the enormous bulge at the back end of the gun, after being asked by the military to do so.
the military went to luger who perfected the design, removed the overhang over your hand when holding it, and the other guy must have been kicking himself to the grave, seeing as how popular the luger is.

The man who didn't take the money for the car was smart. If you see something like that, don't let any part of those people's world into your life. As the show constantly shows, there's no such thing as a 'simple', 'innocent' or 'honest' transaction with them, no matter how innocuous. Think I'm overreacting? Imagine a lunatic like Gyp finds out this man's car was used by Nucky to get away. You think it's beyond the mercurial Mr. Rosetti to take this man's life simply to illustrate a warning not to help his prey escape? It's best the man appears unwilling or uninvolved.
