- THIS is the Pagani Huayra R! Never in my life did I think I might have the opportunity to drive a new Pagani Huayra R flat out at one of my favourite tracks in the world, Spa-Francorchamps! Welcome to Arte in Pista, and an experience straight out of my dreams.
The Pagani Huayra R is limited to just 30 cars, following on from the hugely exciting Zonda R, and marks the introduction of the Arte in Pista programme for customers to drive their R models on track together in spectacular company. Bringing a whole lifestyle experience to the table, today is my opportunity to participate in the festivities at the circuit which hosts the Belgium F1 Grand Prix.
For the Huayra R, the V12 R powerplant comes in the form of a newly developed 6.0l NA V12 that makes 850hp and 750Nm, while screaming up to 9,000rpm, continuing the partnership between Pagani and AMG. Combine that with a 6spd sequential gearbox driving power to the rear wheels, a kerb weight of only 1,050kg, and 1,000kg of downforce at 199mph (320km/h) and you have a very, very capable track hypercar.
Very few words can truly describe the experience of driving this car, the sensation and emotion at the wheel to the immense spine-tingling feeling of the engine mounted rigidly behind you. Thank you to the team at Pagani for this amazing opportunity!

Mr.Pagani is a legend for still being able to make these types of cars that still feel and sound "raw" in this day and age where everything is going electric.
I can do think of many hypercars that are not full or have any electric proposition still

The Upper Right Camera at 19:37 cannot handle the BONKERS rpm of that glorious NA V12, what a monumental sound, even the camera is freaking out.

Best sounding car ever. Theres no LFA, Carrera GT, Valkyrie, McLaren F1, t.50, lambos ferraris you name it that sound like this monster V12.

No one does a NA V12 like Pagani. A race between the R versions of the Zonda and Huayra would be a must see. Just imagining the sounds of those 2 cars together gives me goose bumps. Shmee you've heard both of them up and personal, which one gives you the euphoric tingle? For me the Revolucion looks so much more menacing.

Is it just stradman or Americans in general have this idiotic idea of modifying every single car. Doesn't matter even if its a multi million dollar hyper car. Plus his paint choices are really bad. No offence.

While it may have been difficult to hear you at times, it just adds to the experience of watching at home. It makes it so much more intense, and I absolutely loved it - what a wonderful sound that car makes.
the cacophony of sounds between the engine and the gearbox are amazing. But that engine sound outside the car harken back to F1 of yesteryear. Simply Epic

Heaving felt the V10 F1 engines at Spa myself with my dad at the the time, a couple of years after Senna died, it's a feeling/sound you can never forget. The dB's these high pitch engines create, you feel it in your lungs as they pass by, unforgettable. Thx for sharing this with us, I can imagine from inside it must be unreal. It's the second video your Sony's can't seem to cope with the high rpm vibrations :)

What i highly recommend you guys do is book a factory tour at Pagani soon. It costs around 55 euros and it's pure magic. Especially now as customer huayra R's are still being produced. I recently went and i cannot recommend it enough, pure magic. Seeing these R's in all stages of production is a sight i will never see again
That's true. I met personaly Horacio PAGANI 8 years ago and then visited his new factory in 2017. Truly amazing experience. He is simply one of the best designer and producer of hypercars. 👍🏁

The noise and shear blown away kid in a sweet shop joy you showed on entering the pits after your 1st run.... I had that same feeling of giddiness when your camera's started going all wonky at top RPMs due to the shear vibration cause by that glorious engine!

Spa is my fave racetrack. When I lived in Trier, Germany I would drive to Belgium or Holland and the highway would take us right through there. Back in the 80s and 90s the road actually was part of the track with the famous curve and hill up or down depending which direction you were driving

I loved seeing the number 27 Huayra R at Goodwood Festival Of Speed this year that looked and sounded insane. It was also great to meet you on the BOTB stand and take a photo of the Senna and finally see it the colours look even better in person as I also saw the other cars at the Goodwood breakfast meet and uploaded a video of them on my channel.

Electric cars maybe faster, but they can't beat a ic engine.

The reason I like the zonda r was bcuz of the design and sound and I loved it since 2012 despite, I hate the regular door type like normal cars and the bugatti does.
The Zonda R is a beast. The best video I have ever seen on it is from Davide Cironi. Go check it out. I hope he makes a video on the Pagani Huayra R

I have watched this video so many times over now. I cannot get over the sheer presence and sound this car has on a track. I dream of simply seeing one one day.
