Prediction for the sentencing: look first at who the victims of this fraud were--if a sizable portion of the investors were from the one percent, then SB-F will get a lengthy prison sentence, but if the victims mostly came from the middle class, then he'll get probation. That's how these situations always work out.

Based on known sentencing structures/guidelines, he is up for a lengthy term of imprisonment, meaning years and years. Since SBF is not well-connected or a significant political figure (i.e. Trump), the courts won't have to do legal contortions to try and keep him out of jail (again, Trump).

Gotta say, I'm not surprised. As long as the jury were not "on the payroll" it was real, real obvious from the outside that there was no legal way to do the shenanigans he was doing. I only wish these folks had discussed sentencing more. "the rest of his life" is the max, but he IS a first time offender, and the courts have algorithms they apply. I'd be curious to know what the minimum for his multi-billion dollar theft would be.
