Knowing Donnie Yen's humor it would've been perfect. But all the four movies stayed true to the gray, gloomy vibes. Even 2 and 4 which were set in multiple cities far more colorful than NYC
It's the little details that make this scene. The room is unnecessarily huge and sparsely used. The huge table of food that only the Marquis helps himself to, and not even much of, both of which point to him flaunting his wealth. Caine hits the bottom of the tray when he first reaches, then only partially the envelope, because he's blind. The way the subtitles reveal John's name suggest he wasn't even holding the card the right way, which he couldn't know until he started to read it. Also, unless I was completely imagining it, I could hear the dogs panting at various parts.
There are two big dogs behind Caine to the back-left near the wall. They have two handlers standing next to them.
@@chaosxny5784 I know. My point was there aren't just dogs sitting there, you can hear them panting. The dogs being completely quiet would be weird, but being able to hear them is just one of the little details.

Boy kills world was a fun movie, Bill did great. I think 'The Crow' remake will be good as well.

For someone who likes to dress as a clown (no pun intended) maybe. He's the kind of guy who'd get devoured on breakfast where I'm from, him and his whole posse of guards.
I remember watching this in theater and kept thinking Joe Burrow was a damn good actor 😂
the fact that they named Caine a dude thats blind and uses a cane to walk its ruthless, its not better than call him glasses or eyes XD
They almost called him Chang and made him more stereotypically Chinese, but the actor objected.

Did you watch the movie. Rather than kidnapped, she is pawned to the High table for Cane's service. Her life is theirs to take if Cane break whatever his deal with the table is.
