Can you get her a custom wheelchair to support the front of her body? It would save her "nubs" from being injured. Bless you for taking her and giving her a happy life.

I’m sure people would love to help raise money (crowdfunding) for a wheelchair for her. It would help her mobility a great deal, prevent any skin breakdown as a result of friction/pressure as well as prevent further disability and/or pain.

@@chandraharris690 She is, but on hard or rough surfaces like concrete and hard wood, it would cause far too much stress on the nub joints, as they are not padded like feet. The skin itself could easily become abraded. She manages fine on soft carpet and grass but for flat surfaces a frontal support wheelchair would definitely be beneficial.

I really despise breeders. The guy who wanted to get rid of "the ones without arms" is a breeder. They make money out of it but take no responsibility for the ones that end up being born with disabilities. Horrible people.

What a precious and loving little girl. The title of this video is jarring.. they wanted to "throw her away?!" Imagine bastards so callous as to have instincts like that. Unfortunately there are swaths and swaths of this level of human being that we have to share the planet with. Thank goodness there are just as many of us, if not more, who counter these gollum hoards with kinder, more constructive instincts. Good to see her loved, safe, and happy. She's a wonderful companion and friend.

Probably a backyard breeder from the sounds of it. So they're also responsible for those little puppies having no arms. So glad this story had a happy ending.

I had a sweet little chihuahua that would ONLY play rough with me. If anyone else tried he got annoyed, but the moment I brought the "claw" out, it was on. I do think Emmy is the same way, its a familial energy lol. I miss my Coco all the time, so I hope you get a ton of time with your little girl :D

Well she is already so close to the ground so I don’t see a problem. As long as the vet said it’s fine for her to have a happy healthy life with no future risk to her back etc. They do make wheelchairs for the the front of body, but if not needed, no bother. The handicapped born find a way! Thank you for loving her!❤ She is precious !

I have the same white deer heads. Awesome dog.
A lot of vets can either put you in touch with companies or individuals that make the wheelchairs for disabled pets - even though the word disabled isn't in the baby's vocabulary! 😁 It would allow Emmy to go on walks, run, chase toys or sticks, etc. Also to give her nubs some cushion, there are soft, sock-like slippers that make it easier in the house. It's like a protective cushion or barrier to protect their nubbins from getting cut, scraped or rubbed raw. Miss Emmy is absolutely adorable! I fostered a blind JRT and he measured the rooms & furniture w/his nose & after a couple days, he knew where everything was! They have no concept of "disabled"...wonderful! Also a chi usually picks their "person" and they're one person babies. They tolerate others but ADORE their person. They love to burrow in blankets and cuddle so she's perfect! Such a precious girl! ❤

I had a dog that looked just like her. Her name was Lovie she has been gone for a few years now but I still feel the love I had for her. I work in a retirement home, and the lady that I got her friend had passed away. Her family didn’t want her so we all put our names in a hat and I got her. But then when the swingshift came on they wanted her also , so we put her name in the hat again and I got her again. The thing is everyone thought I was rescuing her when it was the other way around, I had lost my husband and she came as my angel to help me through that hard time.. she did a good job! Thank you for the wonderful video. You’re a good soul.
It's amazing how animals just adapt quickly. My cat lost her eyesight at 14 years old. She was attacked by a dog. As soon as she healed from her eye surgery, she was walking around and jumping up on things. I think it's because they don't feel sorry for themselves. They just deal with it the way it is. I love that about them.Thank you for taking such good care of Emmy and giving her the kind of life she deserves.
