Great interview. I love what you said about having the vision first before the relationship happened. Something they said resonated with the last episode. The idea of trying to break the relationship upfront. I did this with my husband when we courted. Asked all the tough questions I could think of up front. We weren't committed so if there were red flags I wasn't loosing on any investment on my part. I still remember that feeling of amazement as we got through those tough conversations.
I've followed you guys for years! You guys gave me hope for interabled relationship filled with love.

@@SLGreen979 I believe many of us have “settled” already as you have put it. And we realise that maybe we should look for more of what is needed - say intellectually or otherwise - because we were not equally yoked. I have seen it many times. You are not wrong but the key part of what has been expressed is the quality that she prioritised was quite specific. So with that as the foundation there is hope. I also believe that culturally maybe American women may be (operative word is MAYBE) more materialistic than other cultures. Speaking for myself I deal with intellect, someone who has the capacity for solid introspection. Men also can be shallow…Blessings to you and yours.

This is actually one of the best episodes I've seen. Men or "Husbands" who come on the show and sell courses, cards or workshops about relationships typically beat up on men and lie to women in order to grow their business. This is a great example of marriage and love. Best wishes on their marriage journey.
This couple is more peaceful that any regular couple I know. Tha maturity is amazing
This isn’t the average guy.. he has a Ted talks, he was working in tech, he is independent, I’m sure he has a level of maturity that most guys don’t…
My takeaways are; love is awaiting us but step outside the box, premarital sex only clouds judgment, alignment with your purpose is key first, and friendship/communication is foundational to a successful union! @TheClements your transparency is valued & may God continue to bless you & all who encounter you🙏🏾

I almost didn’t listen to this podcast. I apologize for my bias. I was so wrong. This man can teach couples how to prepare. I’m impressed.
He had to make up for or rather ‘over prepare’ due to his disability to make him stand out too. He’s phenomenal I’d say.
They are such an inspiration to not only inter-disabled couples, but non- disabled couples as well. They are such a thoughtful and intelligent couple. ❤️

The person that I pick is going to affect the next generations. This is bigger than me. Is this someone I can build with? Is this someone I can break generational curses with. Is this someone that will help me become the best version of myself ❤

When you're challenged with bodily issues,,, it forces you to excell to the next logical level... and especially when you've discovered your purpose and keep Christ 1st, you automatically advance to your next level in a way to where people cant begin to fathom. Once you've done the personal work (within); you view most things thru a much different lense than others. This is such a dynamic couple,,, I totally get them and can completely understand their Godly union!
When a man moves with spiritual intentions, that’s when your wife will appear. But until then, you will get who you are and that’s why most marriages fail. There MUST be d a spiritual connection.

This was so beautiful to watch. I was actually talking to a girlfriend of mine and were talking about disappointments in business, friendship etc, and we forget that God had already gone before us and knows exactly what/who we need. I always pray exactly what Mayfair said, “God you know exactly who I will need in 5 years time, in 10, 15, 20…” that’s who/what I want! I’m so happy for this couple❤️❤️

My take away was at 48:40-when you’re in a crisis find the possibility-find a community for support and doing the inter work for yourself-this could be therapy or finding that one thing that finds you joy-thanks for the words!

I think we have forgotten God instituted marriage with that being said God doesn’t see or think like humans. Marriage is a spiritual task. The looks and money doesn’t matter to God… the marriage has to give God The Glory. God looks at heart of a man and woman 👏🙂

I am glad to have heard this interview. I never heard of this family prior to this interview’s announcement. I love how Mayfair is very gentle and feminine. Many black women are assumed to lack submission and gentleness but Mayfair shows that this is not true
Such a weird thing for say. She’s Zimbabwean which is a very deeply patriarchal and conservative society. They literally teach young girls do submit to men even to their own detriment.

This truly is a beautiful interview especially because I am truly following Christ.
It goes to show that there are so many levels of faith and trust in the Lord.
For me personally I wouldn’t have ever though my future husband could be in a wheel chair personally.
I have always stated that I have no problem being with someone blind, deaf, hearing impaired, walked with a limp, or even had like 1 arm or 1 leg things like that.
But to her extent no. And it truly does make you wonder if you are shallow.
I really appreciate this video and I hope more people appreciate it as well
