the car has a robotised manual gearbox, it needs to calibrate after the battery went dead, that`s why you have the line on the dash instead of N. Put the contact on and keep your foot on the brake, you should hear it start it`s calibration process underneath. After it calibrates it should show N and then you will be able to start the car.
On top of that, jumpstarting a Ferrari can be an iffy proposition. More than one owner has fried an electrical module doing that. The best case is to disconnect the battery and put it on a charger/tender until it is ready to be used. It may also be old and dead enough that you need to just replace it. But the other guy is right, if a Ferrari has been sitting with a dead battery for awhile then it needs to re-initialize everything.
Doesn't seem like he knows what he's doing to be honest. He put in wrong viscosity oil too.
Always a treat.... Im sick and bed ridden... I was active like you when I was younger. Thank you for your videos.... name is Joe
Not surprised it didn't start since it's a SAMCRAC special model LOL
You will never lose any money on this project. This car is a perpetual content generator.
Wank content though.
I agree, good content but, Ferrari sucks. No build quality. It is a gangster mentality type of car. I would rather take the bus. And by the way..Ben, why do you fix a car for Sam "But" crack? He is just going to let it die in his back yard. Not cool.. a Big like for you Ben but not for the Ferrari.
@@willemp6432 -- That's the case with all of the "high end" luxury sport/supercars. As far as Sam is concerned, who really cares what he does with his card? Additionally, I've had multiple projects stacked up for years. There's nothing wrong with it. Contrary to what Step-Mom says, most of them are eventually finished and he DOES end up selling most of his cars once he's done working on them. You don't make the kind of money it takes to supply his habit with ThemTube revenue with the number of followers he has...
I can tell it’s frustrating but you’re doing such a good job. We’re definitely enjoying the videos.
Just a friendly tip. Anytime you have a car that may be sitting for an extended amount of time if you put some mothballs in and around the car and engine bay it will keep the rodents and other critters away from it. Keep up the great work
The rodent damage was already there, when Samcrac dumped this piece of expensive c... on his yard..... i hope Ben will think twice before accepting another one of this leeches cars......
The negative battery cable is loose,I saw it move when you hooked up the jumper.Keep up the good work, I in joy you and your brothers videos
Saw that too.
yup loose terminal
When the Ferrari V12 leaves through that door and doesn't come back we will all sleep peacefully.
Especially vtuned
😂😂😂😂😂
Don't worry, once it goes back home it will be plopped in a field never to be touched again.
Even though this has been a struggle for you , I for sure enjoyed watching it get rebuilt!
Thanks Ben!
seen a few ferraris that u have to lock and unlock with the remote to get the immo to play nice :)
low battery voltage on vehicles like this cause similar issues. after the battery dying the car may need some sort of calibration like a BMW. I suggest either trying to recharge that battery and see if it holds a good charge to bring it back to life or a new battery to get it functioning properly.
Ben, that engine look great after the cleaning. Great job.👍🏼
It's always a bummer when they won't start, but don't give up my dude. Ferraris can be fickle. Samcrac or his pal Ratarossa or maybe even Mat Arrmstrong are some excellent sources for troubleshooting the no start issue. Nice opportunity for a collab video? Would love to see it.
Go under the car and manually put the transmission in neutral secure it with a tie wrap. Than start it.
Nope it's not a chevy and doesn't work this way lol😂
lf l lived in your area (unfortunately not even close, Toronto, ON), l would hand-paint a nice sign over the garage -- nice white area noted above the doors. This was my summer jobs in the 80s, hand painting letters and logos on trucks and signs on businesses. Did many garages then.
If anyone can figure it out you can Ben! You have a super attitude, do t ever lose it. There are some great suggestions here. I wouldn’t know the first place to start. Can wait until your next episode drops.
I love like support and number one ☝️ big fan of vtuned be happy watching on CZcams channel videos
If you haven’t yet started it yourself, check the pyro fuse, the airbags are blown. I also saw that the battery negative terminal was loose
The bolt in clamps, for holding the wire bundles and hoses, are called Adel clamps. They're used extensively in the aircraft industry.
Love your positive attitude, toward all your builds.next time Samcrac wants you to build a car, tell him get all the parts first.great video continue doing what your doing 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Classic- "I've never worked on a Ferrari V12 before, this should be simple" What a guy!
You are the first you tuber to rebuild a McLaren …some craft right there ….now everyone is doing it
Dont give up on the 599. Is such a beautiful car!
Hey v Tuned.. Ferrari tech here.. car needs to be immobilized.. push it on the key fob. No push.. no start..
Good work so far.
I am so happy those fans weren't trashed
Even if they were, VTuned could fix it. There's nothing that he can't do.
you must be nervous that it didn't start
You going to park it in the cow field when you get it back? :D
😂😂😂
I think the fans are the least of your concerns
The fans are very certainly from the FIAT parts bin..... but you could organise a Ferrari-Expert that can reset the airbag control unit because that will probably be the reason for the no-start. So Ben might be finally able to use his garage for making content, repairing cars and getting some cash in, instead of having your bad purchase obstructing his shop.... for two years already..... be a bit more considerate...... because you're ignoring that fact for two years now....
Me in his place instead, i'd finish that thing, push it out and never wanting to see you and your bad purchase decisions ever again....
Well done mate, love this build series. Keep going, you will get it sorted, you are Malam
It is awesome to see you working on the Ferrari. These type of car's are great for your channel. You will not lose any money on the Ferrari you will make money on your channel. 18:15
The computers and starter on those cars need a fresh battery. Any loose battery terminals or weak jumper pack, will not be enough to crank it over
Dang!! I feel ya. I wanted to hear it start. As a matter of fact, that’s the reason I subscribed to ya!!
I have a feeling it's real simple. Either way, don't stop, you are doing a great job!
push the lock then unlock buyyon on key fob before trying to dtart (you have about 15 sec)
Nice video Ben. As always 💙
Probably shouldn't use clamps with screws. They won't flex when the metal tubes expand from heat. Screwed on clamp might crack the hose. There's a reason why the original part was selected.
Aggghhh what a bummer Ben I was hoping to hear that thing roar but probably not as much as you huh ! Never mind I know you can sort it out 👍
Prime the oiling system before starting......
When you have worked so hard on it, I can but imagine your frustration Ben when it won't start. Not that I am a mechanic of any sort on these modern cars, but you did take the fuel rail off...could it be a lack of fuel? Keep at it. Cheers from the UK.
Sam in UK we dont have anything chewing on wires so dont have to go into all that work on inlet manifolds I think its things like that what's taking your time up good luck not seen your friends on any progress on there g wagon take it easy and have a beer 🍺👍
Don't worry Paul you do it magic nothing its impossible to you. Greetings from Guayaquil Ecuador.
Who’s Paul?
i think you need to connect the headlights and should turn right up. and make shore the cables they are good and connected everything correctly because they are sensitive sometimes those cars.
The pipe clamps are called JUBILEE CLIPS for the record mate. ;-)
That sucks hoping to hear it too! You got this I'm sure you can figure it out😊
Man you do great work makes me wanna try this stuff myself you make it look so easy but I guarantee I couldn't do it
Brilliant channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Excellent bro
It could be something with the airbag sensors or the fuel pump safety shut off it’s probabley something to do with some sensor or fuse you wil get it running no time keep up the grind .
Love your videos
This feels like an episode where it ends and we get pissed because we want the next one right away 😅😅😅
Samcrac owes you unlimited shoutouts on his channel
I see a disconnect switch by the battery .
Check might have a little safety fuse that need to change due airbag deployed i think is coming in the front on driver side somewhere
V.T.. great work on the vehicles always good content 👏
It just gets better and better... sigh....no good deed goes unpunished... lol.. i hope it's a easy fix my friend.. thanks for the videos
Inertia switch? I don’t think I heard the fuel pump kick on when you connected everything, so your inertia switch could be bad.
Dear Ben,
In your place I would have been so frustrated after all the spending the Ferrari finally ready for starting and she refuse to make any engine sound even no turning starter motor. Think you’ve to check the computer in the car because Italian car factories can build beautiful engines but with electrical systems they are less clever. Wish you lots of success with finding the problem and send you for now lots of love from the Netherlands
I dunno if you noticed but your negative battery terminal is loose, could be a bad contact to start the car. 👍
OUTSTANDING !!!!
Good job & skills
Cool episode, Thank ben 🤲
Ben, do you know what Ferrari is famous for? They had a car called the Testa Rossa. Those two words in English are red and head. That's why those engines have those red inserts.in the 1980's, there was a television program called Miami Vice. It started Don Johnson. They had a Testa Rossa in that show. Don hated it. It wasn't exactly a Ferrari. It was a component car. I'm thinking it was a rebodied Pontiac Fierro. That's probably why he hated that car. Nevertheless, the studio that did that program decided to get rid of it by destroying it. They set fire to it. I don't remember that episode. It was said that Don was smiling while it was burning. I was one of my favorite tv series of that decade. Two other shows were The Dukes Of Hazzard and Magnum PI, which starred Tom Selleck. I hope you're having a wonderful night, Ben. B'bye
I agree tighten the negative battery cable and try again.
Make sure to check for the pyro fuse. That can prevent the car from starting.
Can’t wait for the 2020 Mustang GT build!
I love when this channel works on super cars.
Pure talent 😊
V those clamps that Ferrari uses that you like are called a Dell clamps , sp ck used on aircraft usually
A Rat a 🐌 or a squirrel bit the wires 😂😂
You'll be fine it's probably a fuse or something you'll figure it out don't worry about it you're the right man for the job I know it's been sitting there a long time but you're still making money
Those darn Italian cars. Hand built...who knew. Probably something real small that won't let it crank over.
Hey if it’s worth anything none of our going anywhere and we support you and know you’ll get it fired up. Can’t wait to hear it start up!
Great video!
boy them new generation ferraris are pure money pitts compare the the 80s and the90s the testarossa or the F40 best solid built car ever made
FIAT makes Ferrari! FIAT stands for Fix it Again Tony! If you change your name to Tony, you might get it started! Good Luck and thanks for the great content!
In Germany we say "Fehler In Allen Teilen" meaning "defects in every part"....
Btw, I drive a 2012 Fiat and cannot confirm that. Very reliable small cars, built quality has gone up massively on the mass scale produced cars recently.
Great video again 👏 👍
great stuff thanks
Nice. And clean. Nice. Clean.
Cool 😎 !
A snail chewed on the wires? 😂 8:32
Big + that you clean the stuff... instead of slapping in dirty stuff!
vTuned .... A man on a mission
I thought on Ferraris you always have to push unlock on the key fob or it won’t start?
Love it ❤
yay you got ur video recommending working !!!😁
them pesky snails lol ate the cables lol
Great work :)
Try the piro fuse as the airbags went off
Amigo saludos desde CDMX de 🇲🇽🤟🤞 para cuando el Mustang 65
Hey brother, much love happy Friday. I hope you figure it out.
Crash fuse or gearbox override?
Such a shame but hope its a easy fix to get it started
Glad to see you getting some really big builds
Good luck Ben "
Love the channel... but i would've told Samcrac to get this car outta here a year ago! 😂
I was thinking, maybe you should've rail cleaned the fuel injectors before putting the plenum back on. Nevertheless, nice work.
I have an f12 and it takes alot of juice to turn that engine, not just the voltage. charge the battery to full charge, check the injector fuse, then try again
It could be a bad pyro fuse or the Trans just needs calibration.
Ben can now add Ferrari mechanic to his list of skills…that is if he can get it started.
You should start a new Mustang channel. ❤ As a Mustang enthusiast, I’m embarrassed to say that you will have plenty of wrecked Mustangs to make content. 😅
Have you done the pyro fuse Ben?
Pyro fuse ????
I feel like those orange wheels have been on there for so long, that now you have to stick with the concept. So you will have to get orange rims for this one.
