  • In this video, I show 5 Wing Chun at home training drills which use pivoting in order to simultaneously attack and defend.
These are separate exercises (San Sik) designed to build muscle memory and beginners duality in the arms.

Thanks for watching! I've also just introduced my Wing Chun Distance Learning Program at wingchunlessons.com - designed to help those with a sincere desire to learn Wing Chun at home. Not everyone has access to a Wing Chun school or local instructor where they live. This Wing Chun Home Training program also gives you a chance to become certified and recognized under The Dragon Institute ranking system, which is a necessary first step for those who wish to become Certified Wing Chun Instructors. Simple, but effective! Very helpful to see them in this format. Now just need to get some reps in.

Sometimes I’ll do a practice exercise of upper fak-da left and right, then lower gan-da left and right, then pak-da left and right. Your exercises are good because you are also practicing pivot and angle changes, moving the body in sync.

Nice video... real nice! Having said that, the camera should not move when showing the pivoting of the feet...dizzying! But overall, very impressive instruction!

Cool drill, I especially dig you touching on forward pressure. The shift to drive through is key. Do you touch on the horse in earlier videos?

Thanks Ben Moore 🙏. Glad you could see that. I’ll have to do a deeper vid on the stance. There’s soooo much to it!
